We ventured into the beautiful Stona showroom on Grace Street in Georgetown and were pleasantly surprised to find a marble mosaic that suited our purpose. The Stona staff were very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The owner, Mert Bakan promptly came to our apartment, took measurements and provided a very reasonably priced bid to do all the work including demolition and re-tiling. One of the things that we liked about Stona is that they have their own craftsmen, unlike many other stone retailers who could only recommend independent contractors whom we then would have to contact to do the installation. Stona provided a full service. Within a week of accepting their offer Stona sent two installers to do the job; small by comparison to many jobs (38 ft2). The installers were very careful removing the existing woodwork, which they refitted and replaced at the end of the job without damaging anything. (Frequently the demolition requires replacing the moldings.) The demolition of the existing floor was done without much disruption and the installation was very professional. Mert Bakan came to inspect the job before the installers left and to make sure we were satisfied with the entire process. He and his staff are friendly, helpful, and efficient as well as attentive to detail from start to finish. We are very satisfied with the finished product and would highly recommend Stona based on quality of materials, professionalism, price and overall efficiency.

I couldn't be happier as I have found this company to be better than all the companies I have used over 35 years of home ownership (3 homes). They are timely, respectable, professional, hard working, and kind. They listen, they include you in decisions, they fix their mistakes or errors without any hesitation. The estimates are a little high compared to others, but I have learned it is because he builds in worst case scenario. They can do absolutely anything and have great ideas. What have I had done - kitchen sink repaired, stairs removed and replaced, hand rail fixed, all closets rebuilt, including custom build drawers. Install walk-in shower and floating sink/vanity. Install new medicine cabinets, new bathroom ceiling fans, light switches, tiling and regrout existing tiling. Install attic stair and renew installation and remodel as necessary. Painting walls and ceilings and install new flooring. Upgrade electrical panel and rewire home. Install power to an outside hot tub and add hot water bibb outdoors. Said when he came back he would have 2 guys to start the job showed up with 1 guy then left I think this person was new he was all over the place, Marco showed up about around noon with lunch for them the he started painting of course the deck was not fully painted, came back the following day there was 3 of them. I said once again you are going to give me 2 coats of paint he said yes. did not and left a whole section unpainted too, and painted over my solar box so the lights on the stairs cant turn off. Paint dripping not cleaned up touch ups not complete. I have a dog so a full second coat on the deck floor was very important. I am now stuck with 3 gallons of trim paint so now I have to complete the job I paid to have done. No matter how good the surface look when you don't get what you pay for is very disappointing.
