Dr. Mark, Eunice and the rest of the ChiroMed staff are the bees knees!!! After I fell down some stairs and had a stiff neck, they were able to see me next day! Like what?!?!? That never happens at any medical office. EVER!! When I got there Eunice was super welcoming and I didn't have to wait long. Since I work in an office and set at a desk, Dr. Mark offered reasonable advice to help prevent and ease future aches and stiffness. When I came in, I could barely turn my neck left and right. I've come across at least (at LEAST!!) a dozen chiropractors in my life. Some adjust the same way every time, without really listening to the patient, and the same pain lingers in the same spot. I've been going to ChiroMed Health Center for about 6 years on and off. Chiropractic care here has gotten me through my first few heavy triathlons, and my 2nd painful pregnancy, to name a few life pains when you need chiropractic care! Dr Mark & Dr Eunice are AMAZING! I've had scoliosis my whole life, and just maintained for 15 years. I went to them for the first time about 7 years ago, and they asked if I wanted TO CORRECT MY SCOLIOSIS!! I've had a few chiros in the past, but they were the first ones to treat and FIX my back! I can't support them enough. They also help with sports injuries, pinched nerves anywhere in my body. Some background information about myself, I have been golfing for 15+ years and been dealing with back pain for the past few years. Initially going to Dr. Mark, I was not sure if I would see significant improvement, however, even after the first visit I had increased range of motion and decreased pain. You are always skeptical when you go to a new doctor, but Dr. Mark is awesome. He is very gentle and patient. He will listen to all of your concerns. I'm a hot mess. Or at least a mess. I continued on with ChiroMed Heath Center and I'm grateful that I did. Dr. Mark is a very compassionate and caring chiropractor with a gentle touch who clearly delights in his patients gaining relief. Like I said, I am a MESS, and so adjusting my neck has been no easy feat for anybody these past 4+ years. One day, Dr. Mark asked me if I wanted to let him try a rarer technique that not too many chiropractors do, but that he had done before coming to Santa Ana. I replied with an exhausted "I will try anything". After that deceptively benign and unbelievably simple technique, I noticed while driving home that my insane tension that locks me up from my neck/shoulders/jaw/sinus/back/head had let go. I decided to go grocery shopping, and for the first time in YEARS I felt like my old self again: I shopped with no dizziness, clear vision (!!), no stiffness, no anxiety, no heavy head, and I didn't need to hold onto the cart for dear life (uh, I'm 51 not 100). I was literally dancing to the store music in the aisles I was SO relieved and happy, and just *KNOWING* that yes, my body *CAN* feel normal and pain-free again was worth everything to me. It gave me real hope again, which is hard to have when you are in as much pain as I am. There's only so much you can take day in and day out. Admittedly, I am a self adjuster. Have been for 25 years after being in a 5 car wreck which had me rear-ended/slammed into the car in front of me 6x in a row. So, we keep doing this technique with different levels of results. Today, I almost canceled going in because I felt that badly. Whole weekend of tight neck migraines, no sleep, nausea, ringing ears, stiffness straight out of Hades (I have a lot of health issues outside of just chiropractic such as Histamine Intolerance which is basically Fibromyalgia, or should I say Fibromyalgia is Histamine Intolerance!?). Today Dr. Mark was a bit more aggressive with the treatment (still hysterically simple!!) and... he had done it. I stood up.. I was cautious as I always am. Within moments I realized I wasn't feeling off balance and fuzzy-headed. As I stood there, my vision went clearer. I felt this profound release go from my neck to my shoulders to my head to my jaw (TMJ) to my sinus to my face, and then the soft release went down the sides of my back. It was as if I had taken a wonderful drug that had just kicked in and made my body pain-free... no, wait.. because "pain-free from medication" makes me think of a stiffness underneath a drug's effects and this was much more than that.. this was the whole body-spasm letting go and feeling NORMAL, loose, and LIGHT again. It certainly proves how everything in the body is so connected, and how finding a release trigger point can have profound effects. Karla is the sweetest PT with mighty, empathetic hands and a caring heart. Eunice, once the PT, now runs the front with her husband and always delivers in making me truly laugh. Girl is hilarious *heart emoji*. And if you're lucky, their insanely cute pup Mochi will be there, too! (I love the Moch!) I get wordy. It's what I do. So, unfortunately, daily life and repeated motions in modern society and my job re-triggers things, so I'm incredibly lucky and grateful to have a Dr. like Dr. Mark who found value in this rarer treatment because it has worked a miracle for me. If you have hit rock bottom countless times like I have, why not see if he can do the same for you. I can only highly suggest you give him a try based on my own experiences. Not only goes he take the time to ask you where the issue or pain is, he then evaluates your mobility and range of motion to correctly and exactly identify the problem and using a variety of modalities and methods, he accurately treats and alleviates the issue. You are gonna get so much more than just a quick alignment, like so many other doctors. He works on the muscles surrounding and attached to the source of pain to completely eliminate it. He also works with you on stretches and exercises to help strengthen the area and prevent future injuries.
