My work truck was shutting down on me while I was driving and I had a 5 hour drive back to…read morePortland. All the repair centers were so busy they could not even help with a tow much less a look at the truck for 4 days. After calling all around Luis said the shop was busy but would take a quick look if I could get the truck to the shop. I wrangled the truck to the shop. A quick look amounted to a filter clean or change (my choice) and a mass O2 sensor clean. Luis admitted that was not the best option but was willing to try given my limited options. He said if I tested the truck and it broke down they would come for a tow. With no shutdowns in 30 mins of testing I took off down the road for the cost of the a new filter and 30 minutes of service (at my prompting). Luis at this shop was extremely helpful and is willing to prioritize a quick-look which saved me a whole lot of time! Luis even made sure I had the number to a tow service before I left. That is service! Do not overlook this shop. I am not sure why the shop has a skull design as I did not feel death approaching while I was there, but maybe it is because the shop recognizes that for most of us death is most close not from ISIS or a shark attack or Ebola but from the practice of driving down the road.

They told me everything they completed on my vehicle (including tire rotation). I immediately noticed my tire pressures were not within specification, and they read the exact same pressures prior to bringing the vehicle in. This was evidence that my tire rotation was not completed, nor was my vehicle even thoroughly inspected, as stated in my discharge paperwork. Their technician also overfilled my oil by 1 Quart, which can damage the motor. They did not bother to call my warranty company for the repairs needing done on my thermostat. The repair would have in fact been covered under warranty & could have saved me money out of pocket. Instead, David in Subaru Service Dept. brushed it off like he did not want to deal with the warranty company and charged me out of pocket. I left the dealership with my vehicle, and about a week into driving noticed my vehicle is STILL experiencing the same issues with the thermostat & also rough idling. When I called to speak with them, I was made to feel like I was in the wrong for noticing these major discrepancies. I brought my vehicle in for a second opinion from a different maintenance shop, and they diagnosed/fixed my issues right away. They also found the discrepancies with my vehicle listed above. Eric, the manager of Cascade Subaru Service, wrote me a check that covered only the diagnostic and thermostat repair. I appreciate the gesture, but based on my experience that is not satisfactory to me & I will never go back. I do not trust them after this experience. This has me concerned for other's safety, costly vehicle repairs, as this dealership is not trustworthy.

I took my RAV4 to Global Car Care because Slip Indicator Light was staying on ...traction control…read moreproblem. First, they said "rear plug" of transmission had come out and needed to replaced. Also, the battery was bad and needed to be replaced. The battery recovered overnight after I asked for my battery back to return since it was only 12 months of the 36 month of Interstate's warranty. Manager Jay told me a car's alternator does not charge the battery. Then at the end of the next day Global Car Care called to say after the test drive it was not shifting properly so needed to replace the Steering Rack and Tie Rods of a cost of $2,069.21. I declined and picked up the car, no improvement in problem. - cost of $456.31 I then took the car to Town Toyota, they quickly identified the problem as a loose steering rack bolt that needed to be tightened. They tightened the bolt and all other cradle bolts, reset all sensors, and front wheel alignment. The total cost for Town Toyota service department to resolve problem and improve drivability in a half day was $347.10.

I needed them to troubleshoot a sound on my Subaru…read more I thought I had a bad CV axel (common issue with Subaru's) but instead it appeared to be a heat shield on the wheel that was rubbing. Fair enough, easy fix. Instead, they chopped it off on the passenger side. About a day later, the noise was back. I crawled under the car and could see the drivers side was doing the same. I took a screwdriver and bent the shield out of the way and noise never returned. I'm just baffled that they didn't know how to fix the issue easily or without a less destructive way. Tells me they didn't test drive it or really diagnose the issue to begin with.
