What do you do when you have a shower door literally fall off? Well first you yell a lot about hard water, then you open a Yelp Project. At least that is what I did and I'm so glad I did. I found a company that looked great on Yelp, but it turned out they only did new shower doors...no fixes. When I started my Yelp project it sent the request to other vendors and while I encountered some businesses that couldn't help us or weren't even close to what I was looking for, I found Guthrie Custom Shower Doors. I texted Thomas a picture of what was happening, and he said it was an easy fix. He could replace the thing-a-mabobs that hold the shower door on place for a reasonable price and he was available within a reasonable time frame. Whuuuuhhhhttttt? Too easy! He came, he fixed, he left and I Zelle'd. I would absolutely use Guthrie Custom Shower Doors again! Thanks Guthrie Custom Shower Doors! read more

Got a super quick response from these gentlemen. After much consultation because my shower was small, they finally came up with the solution to my tight space. You gotta hand it to them. They did a lot of research on this one. Anyway, they came for the install and my walls were not 100% plumb. So they took the door back had it polished down and returned later that day and the door fit perfectly. These guys are fantastic. You can't go wrong. read more

Tom and his assistant did an outstanding job! The glass sliding doors look fantastic and the communication throughout the entire process was excellent. Tom was fantastic to work with and came out super quick for an estimate, we decided on the spot, and ordered our frameless shower door. I had originally wanted to go with a barn door type, but Tom made the suggestion to consider frameless with a swinging door and I'm so glad he did. We love it! We did Matte black with the low iron glass. Go with the low iron glass (aka optically clear) - you won't regret it. read more

I am so glad to find Guthrie Custom Shower Doors. Tom was very professional, skillful and knowledgeable, gave me a quote over the phone and showed up on time. He was able to reinstall my very heavy shower glass door (taken out due to marble tiles demo and remodeling) with precision even though the tight fit was a challenge. I needed a shower door put on our curved bathtub and reached out to a few businesses. Most said they wouldn't be able to do it because they only installed doors on bathtubs that were not curved. Thomas said he would be able to install one and even sent me the link to one from Home Depot that would fit my tub. Once I had the door here, he was able to do the install in less than two hours. Throughout the process the he was easy to communicate with and very helpful. I'd highly recommend him! read more

Without exaggeration, Tom Guthrie was the best tradesperson we worked with during an extensive renovation process. We would 100% work with him again, and we've already recommended him to family and friends. For the finale to our bathroom renovation, we got quotes from 7 well-reviewed custom glass door installers for the shower enclosure. We chose Tom because he was the most transparent about pricing. Unlike other companies who tried to upsell at every opportunity, Tom patiently and honestly walked us through the many decisions that go into custom shower door design (e.g. what kind of glass, door handle style, hinge metal color etc.), helping us arrive at a decision that was right for us and our budget. In addition to the trustworthy service, the end result is absolutely beautiful and, to my immense surprise, further elevated the overall shower design. I had assumed any glass door would obscure a bit the tile, grout, and fixture selection, but Tom's installation actually made the entire design come together with flourish. So, to recap, Gutherie Custom Shower Doors provided: - Good guidance (honest and educational about material selection and what is worth the cost) - Fair and transparent pricing - Accountability about cost, timing, and quality of work - Superb product and installation read more

Tom installed the shower glass in our new bathroom. He answered all my questions and was able to provide good guidance on the best options for our shower during the estimate phase. His price came in about $1,000 lower than another vendor (that's not a typo!) On install day, they were quick and efficient. They got everything in and gave some tips on keeping it clean (use Rain-X, like the kind for car windshields). The glass looked great and had everything that was promised (towel bar, the right finish on the hardware, etc). That was about a year ago and the glass is still looking good and functioning well. I am glad we went with Guthrie. read more

Did a Yelp bid for new closet mirrors and their price was great as it was cheaper than buying standard mirrors from Home Depot and paying for separate installation (they quoted me the price of HD's material only). Happy with the outcome! read more
