Since it was my 1st time visiting the area, I took a gamble recommending it to my friends, & everyone is still thanking me for finding this absolute masterpiece of a restaurant. We stopped by for lunch right after a wine tasting just a block away. Even though they don't take lunch reservations and we had a massive group of eight, the staff handled it flawlessly and accommodated us with the most welcoming, high-energy service imaginable. The seamless counter-service model is brilliant--you order, sit back, and enjoy the incredible vibes while they bring perfection right to your table. Every single detail here is curated to perfection. We started with a bottle of rosé, which arrived in a stunningly creative, vintage empty can of peeled tomatoes. It is the ultimate aesthetic touch and a prime example of how thoughtful this place is with their presentation! APPETIZERS: The Casitas Pork Meatballs: An absolute triumph--incredibly flavorful and perfectly tender. The Chicory Caesar: Crisp, beautifully dressed, and a total crowd-pleaser for a big group. PIZZAS: Margheritaville: A classic, flawlessly executed red sauce pie that sets a whole new standard. The Madonna: An absolute genius flavor profile with earthy local mushrooms and a bright lemon finish. Porco Rosso: A total showstopper with bold spicy tomato sauce, confit garlic, and a brilliant, crunchy breadcrumb finish. The Pinyon Pie: Their iconic signature pie! The tangy kefir base with sausage and toasted pine nuts is an absolute, non-negotiable must-order. DESSERTS: The Pistachio Tiramisu: Pure decadence and perfectly balanced. Vanilla Bean Soft Serve: A culinary work of art topped with premium olive oil, sea salt, and cookie crumbs. The ultimate sweet-and-savory masterpiece. I don't love that in terms of service, but alas, this is kind of a common restaurant experience in Ojai. We ordered the broccolini, the mushroom pizza and the half chicken and it was all so incredibly flavorful and well prepared! The crispy flavor of the chicken skin was out of this world especially paired with the sweetness from the nectarines. Also, I was completely unprepared for the broccolini to be cut up and served in a circular shape but it's mixed with this really creamy and slightly spicy chili sauce that is so flavorful - and it also has a nice balance of sweetness with the dates. The dough and the flavors of the mushroom pizza were also amazing! I just loved how chewy the dough was. It had fantastic texture and bite/chew to it! All around, I thought that it was the most amazing place I've been for pizza. The only thing I didn't love was that sitting outside meant that once our food arrived, there were a few bees swarming around trying to also eat our food (it was just that good). Otherwise, everything was amazing!

I saw some of the G.O.A.T's of the NBA, the NFL, the NHL, and the MLB which were all proudly on display. Hey, Maybe you've heard of 'em... Jordan, Jabbar, Montana, Gretzky, Gehrig Yeah, we all know these Greats and what their individual contributions were to their respective sport/league. Well, after eating the pizza and salad at O.P.C, I can truly say that these jerseys represented more than the players who wore them, but they had a direct correlation to the food that's served here. The overall Pizza is an unstoppable slam dunk just like Michael Jordan would do as he soared through the air with his tongue out. Yeah, The pizza we ordered had the perfect amount of sauce to cheese to toppings ratio and it was the "hook" that kept me wanting more, just like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's Skyhook move that was his secret weapon to scoring big. The secret weapon on our pizza.... The Pineapple!!! Now let's talk about the Greek Salad! Just like Joe Montana was put into the Hall of Fame, the Ojai Pizza Co.'s Greek Salad should be added to the list! Yeah, this Greek Salad was the 'Gretzky' of all Greek Salads. It too should have the same nickname... The Great One! (Because Damn was it a Great One!) Yes, every single bite which had the perfect combination of toppings, and a dressing that sealed the deal; this Greek Salad was the "Iron Horse" side dish that looked as good as Lou Gehrig did in those Yankee Pinstripes and it definitely was a hit out of the park home run that complimented our pie. Located right on Ojai Ave. in the center of town, this little pizza shop knows exactly what they are doing. They are shooting for that W that can win Championships all while securing a W both in our hearts and in our stomachs for all of the love that they are putting into their food. So if you find yourself visiting the quaint little town of Ojai and are in need of a quick, easy, and tasty meal, the Ojai Pizza Co. is definitely the G.O.A.T in the area when it comes to hand-tossed pizzas!
