The good about Gus Auto Repair is that they answered the phone fast. Another good is they speak English ect. The bad is short also, but is BAD. I was across the street or kiddie corner and accidentally locked my keys in my car. I had to get home fast. A family member was sick. I told them I'd be home promptly. The Gus employee told me for him to walk across the street to me and open my car door was going to cost me 80 dollars. Westmonts finest drove up and asked me a couple questions and said they'd do it for free. I called Gus and said no thankyou! How awful was that. I'll never give them business. I'll remember to tell my friends of my Gus experience. They tried to get 80 bucks from me instead of doing the right thing and opening my car for a reasonable price or free which maybe would've brought me maybe back in the future for business if need be. No thanks. #Thankyouwestmontpolice read more

Wow. I just called in and spoke with Gus. I have an Audi A3 that needs a coolant flush and to have the Halex fluid replaced. I have gotten three other quotes over the phone from nearby Auto Repair shops. He told me that I had to come in to get an estimate which I know is not true because I had the make model and the number on me. I told him what I was quoted for this work to be done and he said that's fine. Go to those places because I don't need the work anyways I'm super busy. I laughed and then hung up. Don't go here. This guy is rude. I sold Porsche's for years and I've owned my Audi for at least seven. I'm not stupid even though I'm a woman when it comes to cars if you can go somewhere else. read more

Picked up my 1998 Chevy Malibu that spent a full week @ Gus's garage. Running like new with new GM ignition switch, which I thought outrageously priced, labor cost fair to diagnose & get me running, will give Gus good reviews in my Indian Trail neighborhood which has much potential if we get treated fairly! read more

Needed to get a prepurchase inspection for a used car I was looking at at a dealership on Ogden. Gus got me in on sorry notice, personally inspected the car about 30 minutes, then spent ten minutes driving with me explaining what he had found. Filled my tires at the gas station. All of a sudden my low tire pressure warning came on. Couldn't figure out why or how when the machine said the tires were at 35psi. So I drove across the street to Gus's and they were so helpful. They stopped what they were doing to help me figure out why my warning was on. Filled up all my tires with no problem and told me not to trust those machines. Super awesome of them!!! read more

On March 13th, 2018 I took my car to this Gus' Automotive for an emissions issue. I explained to Gus directly that my sons car needed the plates renewed and it would not pass emissions and I needed an estimate to fix it. On March 16th, 2018 I received a call from Gus to tell me that my car was complete and it passed the emission inspection. I didn't ask him to take the car but he told me that he couldn't guarantee the work without knowing it would pass inspection. I was impressed to see him go the extra mile. On Saturday March 17th, 2018, my son went to the location to pick up the car and after paying for it discovered that it would not start. Gus told him that they ran it out of gas and my son would need to go to the gas station to get some. After returning with the gas, the car started but the check engine light was on again and Gus told my son that it was because the car ran out of gas and reset the code. I didn't know that this happened until today when my son called me to tell me that the car was running like it was before the repairs and the check engine light was back on. I called Gus's Automotive and explained that the car was acting up again and asked when we could bring it in. Gus then told me that I have black energy and that my business is not wanted and he did not offer a warranty on repairs. I could understand this if it were weeks or months later but it is less than 3 days since we picked it up and the reason that we took it there and paid him for is not rectified. While the car has passed emissions, the reason we paid is not fixed and I feel that he did something fishy to make it pass just so that he could collect a payment from us. After he hung up on me 2 times, I drove to the location and he called me crazy and refused to fix the issue & told me to take my business elsewhere. I asked for a refund which he refused so I have filed a complaint with my CC company. read more
