The PA at the time was very helpful, I'm not sure what happened but I began seeing a different PA (maybe the first got laid off?) either way the other PA was neglegent. I saw her two/three times. By the third time I began searching for another dr. I requested to see a gyno because I was having lady problems, I insisted several times I would prefer a referral but the PA insisted back that she felt confident that the clinic would be able to find the root of the issue. I believe I waited anywhere from an hour to two hours for an appointment and when I was seen I felt rushed. I had to remind the PA that my concerns were not being met and she was consistently talking over me. She began listening afterwards, however, I felt so very frustrated at this point, I made it a point to not return. Again Dr. Sidrick was helpful, insightful, referred me to a PT prior, and listened. Unfortunately, I feel that her staff is not up to parr and whenever I called to make an appointment I felt needed to be seen in a fairly resonable time frame. 3 weeks to a month is not fairly resonable in my opinion, I believe when you call to make an appointment it is because there is something wrong and needs to be addressed fairly quickly. Either way I am disappointed with this office lack of concern for my wellbeing.

I wasn't able to see Dr. Sidrick today unfortunately. But the staff was nice, the nurse…read morepractitioner I saw was very helpful. This doctor's office is the worst. They never honor their appointment times. This isn't the first…read moretime they didn't honor the appointment either. Here is an example...Recently my mother in law had a virtual appointment scheduled at 4 PM. We wait until 5 PM, still no call. I called them to follow up on this appointment and was told by the front desk staff that their doctors are still seeing patients and will call us when they're available. When asked why given us the appointment at 4 PM, when you can't honor it, the staff said their doctors told them to schedule every appointment 10 minutes apart. Then she said if I have a problem with it then I need to take it up with their doctors. I told her that this office has been doing this for years, how can they not notice the problem. But she kept telling me to take it up with their doctors instead. My mother in law is stubborn, as with most of the other elderly asian patients, they just want to stick with 1 doctor who can speak Vietnamese, and this place is it. And she had been here for years since she was still healthy and young back then. So hence she doesn't want to switch primary care doctor. It doesn't matter if you made an appointment in person or virtual, they're always at least 1 hour late. I, personally, used to go here as well, but not anymore after so many delays in treatments/appointments. I want to warn the rest of the new patients that unless you have plenty of time to wait every time you need to see the doctor here, don't go here. They only care about money... more appointments/visits means more money from insurance for them. This goes against the practice of a true doctor. And they have no respect for the patients or the patients' families time.

Completely unacceptable experience. This clinic wasted my time and then took no accountability for…read moreit. I booked an annual checkup with Dr. Susan J. Taylor through the online portal about three weeks ago. I am a new patient, and I entered all of my information during the booking process. At no point was I told that Dr. Taylor was not accepting new patients. Despite that, the system still allowed me to book the appointment, sent me through the process, and confirmed it. I chose Dr. Taylor at the Adams Avenue location very intentionally, because she is one of the few medical doctors there and many of the other available appointments appear to be with physician assistants. I arrived on time for my 10:00 AM appointment only to be told, after the fact, that I could not be seen because she does not accept new patients. That is not the patient's mistake. That is the clinic's mistake. A competent medical office does not allow patients to schedule appointments that were never going to be honored. A competent office does not wait until the patient is physically standing at the front desk to finally mention a restriction they should have disclosed from the start. And a competent office does not treat a patient's time as disposable because their own system is broken. This clinic needs to take responsibility for its own failures instead of pushing the consequences onto patients. If the online portal is inaccurate, fix it. If the staff knows certain doctors are not accepting new patients, stop those appointments from being booked. If management is aware of this issue and has done nothing, that is even worse. Patients should not have to pay for this clinic's disorganization with their time and energy. This was careless, misleading, and deeply unprofessional.

I feel so frustrated and foolish for not moving to another office sooner. With all the negative…read moreexperiences I've had here, I honestly don't understand how this place is still operating in the healthcare field. I expect healthcare professionals--whether doctors or staff--to have compassion and care, but instead, all I've encountered is rude, unprofessional behavior. Sometimes I wonder why I'm treated this way--do I really seem that naive or stupid? But after reading other reviews, I realized I'm not alone in feeling this way. Let's talk about appointments. Is it normal for a doctor's office to never answer the phone? Even the designated texting number for appointments doesn't work. I've tried texting, but no one ever responds. So, am I supposed to physically go there just to make an appointment? Imagine living far away and having a busy schedule--how is that even feasible? There was a young girl, who I believe is a newbie MA, and she was trying to draw my blood. She seemed really nervous about it, and honestly, I could tell something wasn't right. As I watched her, she actually yelled at me to look away, saying that if I was looking at her, she couldn't focus. I asked to have someone else do it, of course she gave me a rude attitude and walked away grumpily. It was such an unprofessional and uncomfortable experience. There're a lots problem for me with this office during the time I were patients here but the last visit was the final straw for me. I went in, polite as can be, to ask about my blood results and to request a copy of my chest X-ray. The receptionist barely acknowledged me and acted so condescending. When I asked about the blood results, she just muttered, "Normal," without even looking at me. It was shocking how rude she was. I've since moved myself and my family to another clinic, and I've been telling everyone I know to do the same if they're experiencing the same frustrations. I've even helped some people switch doctors. This place has been the worst experience for me, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Please, avoid this office if you can and find a better option! Extremely poor customer service, unprofessional and uneducated medical assistants, and rude behavior from both the doctor and staff. I know the office staff probably never reads feedback, which is why they continue to operate this way after so long. But I hope my review helps others who are looking for a family doctor and steer clear of this place :)

Worst doctor's office in San Diego - unprofessional, dismissive, and poorly managed…read more I had an appointment at Dao Medical Clinic and waited nearly an hour past my scheduled time -- despite being the only patient there. The visit lasted less than 10 minutes and felt rushed. I did not feel heard, and my concerns were not properly addressed. I was referred to a specialist, but the referral was incomplete. For over 2 weeks, I called multiple times and left messages but never received a callback. When I finally reached a staff member, I was told to contact my insurance myself -- which my insurance confirmed was the clinic's responsibility. I ended up going to the office multiple times in person because there was no follow-up, and the office was frequently closed during posted business hours. The most concerning issue is the conduct of the front desk, managed by the doctor's wife. Communication was consistently dismissive and unhelpful. At times, her tone was raised and came across as condescending. I also observed similar interactions with other patients, particularly Vietnamese and elderly individuals, where they were spoken to impatiently or left waiting unnecessarily. Meanwhile, staff appeared engaged in unrelated conversations rather than assisting patients. When I tried to resolve my situation, I was repeatedly told: "That's all we can do." When I asked for further clarification or help, I was told to "choose a different PCP" if I was not satisfied. It has now been over a month, and I still have not been able to complete the referral process while my symptoms continued to worsen. Overall, the lack of communication, accountability, and basic patient care is deeply concerning. I would strongly recommend considering other providers if you value timely and respectful medical care.

What a heartless doctor -- if you don't have the skills, you shouldn't be running a clinic!
