I would put minus star if I am able to. I was not able to see the MD at all so this is solely regarding the service I had with the staffs. I was helping my mom to choose this office because they speaks Vietnamese.
For the first two times when we came, it was ok. The NP was not able to speak Vietnamese at all but it is ok. I am there and the nurses speak Vietnamese. They cancelled me once the day before the appointment saying that the MD couldnt make it but that appt we was not seen by the MD at all.
My mom is on a medication for high cholesterol and she just came to the US a few months ago. I told the nurses taking us in and the NP that did the initial visit several times, spelled out the name of the med and they even did a blood test to confirm her cholesterol level. At the end they prescribed her vit D and said never heard about her taking cholesterol med.
The NP also let her take Xray of her neck and shoulder for her shoulder pain. They didnt even go over the result with us until we asked about it. And they discussed with a wide open door in which I could hear it from the waiting room that I stepped in and listen to the rest of it. This is a HIPPA violation. Also they didnt suggest any plan of treament, they just brushed through light exercise or physical therapies, with no futher instructions or referral at all. After almost a monh, they called me and left a message regarding the result of these Xrays as if we never heard of it before, and even said they are normal while the neck Xray was a bit abnormal and that is causing my mom's shoulder pain.
I mentioned that I usually take my med from Walgreens near my place, but my mom is new here and if she can take it from there, it would be nice. Doesnt the office suppose to confirm what pharmacy have contract with what insurance? My mom has Molina Healthcare Medical and they have no contract with Walgreens. They faxed there once. Then we changed to CVS, they faxed there 3 times and left me messages that they were ready to pick up. I went there 3 times and always no fax was received. I mean 3 times, can they call and confirm that the pharmacy receives it or not.
I was so disappointed with the service and the unprofessional environment. I am a nurse myself and an certified Vietnamese interpreter. I know the process and try to be patient but this is just unacceptable.
I felt bad complaining to the receptionist regarding all these even though the nurses didnt do their job right.
I am changing her MD today but just feel the need to put it out there for others to know what service we received there. I dont even write review often. So seriously, I am very very disappointed and angry. read more
