Michael worked tirelessly with agents on both sides of the deals and kept us encouraged and informed at all times. I'll admit to feeling less than optimistic. But now our dream is realized thanks to not only his bearing, courage, decisiveness, endurance and enthusiasm but problem-solving skills and innovative ideas. I hope your purchase/sale isn't a battle! But you should use this agent, just in case...

Like many other people in the current economic depression, we had to short sell our house recently…read more Bear in mind this is not something that I would have ever chosen to do - my husband and I literally got laid off from our jobs within two weeks of each other, and we had to make the radical decision to move to Las Vegas where my husband had a good job lined up for him at the time. I loved this house dearly and hated to see it go, but that's the economic reality. And no, we weren't deadbeats who couldn't afford the house. This was literally the weirdest sale ever. The buyer, and moreover the buyer's lender, had such severe problems that this deal was in jeopardy multiple times during the sale. We went through attorneys to delay the short sale, had document mixups, and experienced any other problem you can possibly think of, and Andy and his team still managed to wade through all the confusion and close this sale. This sale included issues with the buyer's lender fudging the paperwork to be $700 short which caused a week's delay, the buyer randomly showing up with huge amounts of cash which required paperwork to be redrawn, and complete disarray in paperwork that no one but Andy and his team could possibly sort out. Despite all these things, Andy, Kamran, and the other people at VREG managed to navigate this nightmare and get this deal figured out. We had multiple dealings with attorneys which helped us extend this process, but the real noteworthy thing is that there was a point where our attorney told us that our sale could be delayed no longer. Despite this "official" legal advice, Andy and his staff pressed our mortgage holder, and managed to get a further extension which finally enabled this deal to go through. Andy and his team at Venture Real Estate Group are nothing short of miracle workers in the Seattle real-estate market. They managed to close what is, I am assuming, one of the most ridiculously complicated sales they have ever seen. I cannot recommend Andy Langsord and Venture Real Estate Group highly enough. They managed to turn what would have been an absolutely hopeless experience into one that worked.

They failed to notify us that their Covington office was closed so we went there first, discovered it was closed, and then had to drive to their other location in Kent. The day of signing, we were expecting to hear from them. Two hours before our appointment, we hadn't received any information from them so we had to call them. They also failed to call the utility companies for a payoff estimate, so we had to do that because the new owners weren't able to get utilities transferred into their name due to Chicago Title dropping the ball on that. Finally, we just received our settlement statement from them and see that they are withholding $95 for "mobile notary" even though we drove to their offices for the signing! If you have the misfortune of having them as your escrow company, make sure you carefully review every document you get from them, especially your settlement statement'

At the end the nasty, unprofessional person you will meet is Donnell Penner. She will hold on to your documents without proceeding with closing until last minute. She does not care if your interest rate date line and closing date is up. The manager named Bonnie Miller will give a shit how her staff mistreated you. I would give a 0 star if that exist.
