This is like a 20 minute process anytime I've had this done just for reference, so several days go by and I call on Thursday to see how it's coming and I was told he hasn't gotten to it, but should be no problem by Friday or Saturday. Still no word so I'm patient, the following week gets started, still no word by Wednesday, so I call again and talk with Jeff, I ask him how it's coming, I was told again he hasn't gotten to it and that paying customers in the store take priority. Whoa wait a minute, I'm not a paying customer, I'm purchasing all hardware, plus additional gear to complete my work on this 20 minute job !!!!!! I stopped by G4 on Friday and was told oh yeah I should be able to get to it today, oh yeah it will be done today. I told him I've waited 10 days with plenty of excuses, I want my rifle and scope and I left the store. Too me I believe I had plenty of patience, but this experience has really soured my tongue for ever wanting to expect service from this facility. I was saddened to hear of Marcus's passing. He will be greatly missed. The new owner seems like a good guy. We shall see. He's still waiting for his FFL to be approved before he can purchase stock and open for business. No idea how long that will take other than the fact that in recent weeks the backlog of background checks has been completely insane. The shop can be a little difficult to find. It's in the boonies a few miles from Forest Grove. It's been there since the 1950's so all the locals and serious enthusiasts know where it is. No, they just weren't going to honor the sale. The claim was they don't ship NF optics anymore. I'd believe it if every other store on the internet stopped selling NF optics, but it seems fanciful. Wasted my time. Regardless of their reasoning for denying the sale, post sale, they don't honor their agreements and when you are talking about purchases of that size -- that's about as low as it gets, in my book. Take your business elsewhere, would be my advice.
