And…read morealthough my experience was a good one (so far as I know - having not known how efficient this gas is in my tank), I can't say for certain this was a good trip nor a bad one either. Although looks can be intimidating at first, the fact that prices per gallon seemed cheaper if you paid in cash, this place doesn't look all that well kept up on the roads and is in an area that looks about 20 years behind the times. The employee I met up with took my money in an efficient manner, but never did give me my receipt. I myself wasn't thinking straight and never asked her later for one. I know from others who have tried in here themselves too, this place needs some renovating. The inside is tiny and the roads leading up to and into the station are terrible....the road is cracked in several spots and my car went "bumpety-bumpety bump" over several potholes in the street which was pure terror on my 2009 car - I hate to see what the road and surrounding area would do to a brand new (same model year as the most current year) car if these were to travel over it. Clean up and re-renovate the roads surrounding your business and definitely eliminate that annoying extra turn that makes me confused near that bank so you don't have to make the extra turn towards the bank just to make a 45 degree turn towards your establishment, which seems kinda' extra much to get to a gas station (most gas stations are straight in and straight out).

We were trying to get all four tires replaced on my sister's car in preparation of the upcoming…read morewinter season in NY, and fortunately for us Mavis had what we were looking for. We were shopping in the area that day and checked with Walmart Auto Center first but they said they were booked until the following week. I called Mavis and was informed that they could take care of us now if we stopped in so we did. Anthony, the service manager was friendly and explained everything that was included with the pricing (road hazard, rotation etc.). This is an auto shop so nothing super fancy, the waiting room can use an upgrade but surprisingly the bathroom was in decent shape. I believe the four tires came to just about $460. My sister was happy to have new tires and our group was happy because we were able to get all the work done while shopping in the area. Great Job Anthony and the Mavis Tire team!

Some of the best birch beer I have shoved down my throat. If you like birch beer, you should definitely try these locally made soda pops. Additionally, they make subs in the back. The meatball sub is very good many times they run out of meatballs because it is so popular, I keep telling them you can never have too many balls. Some of the other subs are good. Also never had the pizza or the soup but a lot of people seem to get it overall pretty good store with lots of parking.

Of all the gas stations in or near Red Hook, I actually had the chance to try out this station…read moretoday, and although much like all the other gas stations in Dutchess being higher priced (compared to Ulster Co.) when I discovered that this place was nearly 6 cents difference per gallon cheaper than the Shell on Rte 9G nearby and was on my route to get my brother at work near the county border, I thought "What the heck?...Can't hurt to try it!" I got out of my car after a short delay (due to unintentional malfunction of my car's door locks) and pulled up to discover at first that this station has slightly older pumps....nothing too- historical though. They took my GasBuddy discount card at the pump and within a few seconds I was off n' runnin'. I didn't even have to enter my odometer reading here (or get around that prompt by entering a particular two digit code), which made me feel surprised. The trigger didn't work too well. I'm pretty good at getting gas exactly where I want it. But here was different. I'd squeeze and due to over squeezing by the pumps machine issues, would offset the amount I would have wanted to place in my tank at a normal gas station elsewhere and cause me to miss the exact place I was expecting to pump till. I should have expected that when the pump shut itself off at 25.77 to expect this here. If I wouldn't have been on the GasBuddy card, and if it wasn't even me, that caused disaster for over spending and could have caused others disaster! I mean, I pushed it to 26.02 but was planning on only pumping 26.00 after the machine clicked at 25.99 seconds before. Maybe if they'd stop affiliating themselves with the Deli so much, get off their tush and check their pumps out for malfunctioning parts every few months, I'd be using them more. However, not one time today, did I ever notice any employee come out to check. I should've expected that prior to arriving thanks to a car pulling out of here prior to my arrival and another customer walking out saying something but couldn't discern what but sounded as if she aimed it at me!

I came in here the other day looking to purchase several dollars of gas for the car, when once I…read moregot in, I was warmly greeted to other customers waiting in line. Well, I do thank this location, because this location had an employee that opened up a new line so that I could pass directly into a line so I wouldn't have to wait to pay for the service. Maybe seeing as I had cash and had the Gas Cash Card in hand (and handy), maybe triggered them to see that I didn't pose a major threat to making the transaction be easy for them to complete. They didn't ask or remind me that I had a Speedy Rewards account I could use at the register, but I remembered the card just after handing them the Gas Cash Card and they completed the transaction smoothly. The money was added and I got a receipt as I asked. I went out and pumped. I had no real problems there. The ground still looks a little old and predates the Speedway pumps, but they work. The fact that the Walmart across the street helps, makes this place a go-to place when I'm in Catskill. I had been here before, but it had been a long time and this time was different : they didn't realize that this time it would be the experience I'd be reviewing about.

He gave her a hard time for not staying in line in her car, guess sitting in a car for 2.5 hours wasn't acceptable to him. I myself am a double amputee and had a hard time sitting in the same position for that length of time. Yes signs are clearly posted to stay in your car....I get it. But 2.5 hours is unacceptable. Kid needs to spend less time on his phone and pay more attention to the customers. He should be apologizing and not scolding, specifically the elderly.
