For guitars they carry Fender guitars and Gibson guitars plus Martin guitars and Taylor guitars. Since their HUGE music store is in Mesa and we live in Glendale the best part was we used their online rental service and they had an option to pick up the saxophone rental and violin rental at one of their 23 partner rental stores all over Maricopa County or one of their Educational Representatives could drop it off at the school for us. He'll be ready to make a purchase soon, so he wants to know for sure which one is just right. If you don't quite know what you're looking for, or need some elevated service, you might find someone, you might not. It's a more laid-back approach to customer service-we had to seek someone out for help. But I suppose I prefer that over an in-your-face sales person trying to close a deal.

So as a drummer, Its always been the drum section for me but today I came in because I want to start learning something new. Injuries to parts of my arms make it difficult to play guitar but since I've always loved piano, I decided that's what I would try. I first looked on line and found some used equipement but decided to stop in and see what Guitar Center had. Shayne was the first person I spoke to. He gave me a lot of great advice and really tried to educate me on the equipement I was looking at. He gave me all the pros and cons of each piece, he didn't try to over sell me, and he even told me how I COULD save some money finding something used on line or even on their web site. The thing I liked the most is how Shayne actually explained the pros and cons of buying used and gave me the perfect amount of information to make a very educated decision on what I ended up buying AFTER I was invited to take a day or two to do some research on my own before making any kind of purchase. I did buy new, and I did buy it from Guitar Center, and it was because of the service I received from Shayne during my two visits with him. I have had the wonderful experience of learning and playing music for over 50 years and when I decided to learn piano, last year, I was lucky to find Dr. Jeff. I have had many music teachers and he is one of the finest, if not the best. Dr. Jeff teaches more than the piano, in fact he can teach many, many instruments and many styles. It's so subtle. You have to be encouraged but challenged. You need discipline and gentleness. Dr. Jeff gets it right as teacher for older people. He knows our limits and pushes us just a bit beyond.
