Very good service for most of our meal, seated promptly and our drink order was taken right away. It's Restaurant Week in Palm Springs so the Palm Desert had a prix fete menu that 2/3 of us ordered. The house salad is very good with lots of tasty additions. Hubby had the spinach salad and daughter had their clam chowder. All three came out quickly. For our entree we ordered the personal pan pizza, eggplant parm and medium deep dish. We went in at 545 and it wasn't too busy, but by the time we left it was full and our service with our waitress slowed considerably. We didn't get another water refill and had to wait a bit to pay the check. The golf course setting and outer area was beautiful. Interesting music in the background and nice setting. I pretty much love all Italian food. But it doesn't mean that I've had some bad experiences; this wasn't one of them. In fact, I would rate it towards the top for higher-end Italian. Service was spot on, with drinks arriving fairly quickly and refills on my Diet Coke steady. I had the chicken parm and some slices of pizza, which we took home. The chicken parm, while a little thin on the chicken, had a nice breading that added the right amount of texture and flavor. Instead of spaghetti, they served Manicotti with pasta sauce as the side. I heard from the table that it was the best cobb salad they had ever had, which is saying something about salad! We took some pizza home, which I reheated the next day, and it passed the "pizza spend the night in the fridge" test very well. Made a perfect afternoon snack. read more

This was a new restaurant at the resort we like to stay at. The worst fault was it was quite noisy. Not sure if it was an acoustic issue. We started off with the garlic cheesy bread. It had a slice of melted mozzarella on top and it was very yummy, especially since it had a delicious marinara dipping sauce. It could used more garlic (after all, it was garlic bread). My wife had the pasta with meat sauce, and it was just ok. I had pasta marinara with 2 meatballs, and it was EXCELLENT!! It was a wonderful sauce saturated with tomatoey flavor, and a hint of sugar. Another carb loading day before relay race. It brought me and my teammates to Gluseppes Restaurant. I believe it regional chain cause name sounds familiar and been to one before in life. It good memories of good basic Italian food. Interesting with this restaurant it sits on golf course and kind of club house for members. The outside hard to find or tell because only one sign outside. It looks more like pulling up club house or upscale golf course. The golf course makes it different views sitting outside on the patio. We did because the weather was perfect. I went with stable pasta dish like carb loading nice hearty bolognese. It was spot on. Nothing fancy but tomato sauce in point. Hearty and filling. We went to Giuseppe's with high hopes. We love Chicago deep dish pizza. The closest good deep dish near the desert is in Phoenix. The restaurant and bar was nice, loud and busy. The service was only fair, seemed like they were understaffed and the bar was slow and the drinks expensive. The biggest disappointment however, was the pizza. The cheese and crust were good but you could barely find the sausage on our pizza. Our friends went on a scavenger hunt for their pepperoni. The most prominent feature of the pizza was the tomatoes, LOTS of tomatoes. Actually too many tomatoes. We left disappointed with no plans to return. read more

We ordered pizza but didn't know there was 2 different styles and no one told us which one to get. We decided on Chicago style, mistake not good for us. So the next visit we did take out and purchased the normal style and it was GREAT!! the only thing is they forgot 1 topping that was a must have. We will try again with all the fixings. I really wanted to love this place. Great atmosphere, terrific staff, our waiter was top notch and the owner and manager were great. One of the best Caesar salads I have had, but that's where it ends. Short Ribs were tough and no bone(boneless cheaper cut and tougher) and quite pricey. Should have been premium bone-in for price. Also, beware of horseradish placed on top of mashed potatoes. They charge $5 for dry small basket of Focaccia bread. Most portions were kind of small for what they charge. Linguine and clams just ok, but small portion. Cannoli had way too much cinnamon. I may be fussy having been in the restaurant biz and being italian. read more

This location has been open 11 weeks as of 10.21.25, according to our great server, Izzy. I was wondering why so few pictures & reviews of such an amazing location, beautiful decor and delicious food. If you're staying at the Marriott Shadow Ridge, it's a fairly easy walk from any of the buildings to the location, just to the west of the registration/lobby area, in the building with the golf shop. We knew we would enjoy one no cooking in our resort unit at least one night, so after strolling around the property to check things out, we headed to Giuseppes for a bite. Without a reservation on a Tuesday night at 7:15, we were happily offered outside patio or bar for immediate seating, or a ~10-15 mins wait for the dining room. We selected the bar area and were escorted to a high table aside the bar immediately. Hubs perused the large menu while I snapped pics all around - I already knew I was having the sole. lol Izzy came over within a couple of minutes and offered to take a drink order while we looked at the menu, but we knew what we wanted so ordered straight away. Izzy smiled and thanked us for making it so easy. Off he went and we sat back to take in the beautiful decor and expanse of this large restaurant. Our food arrived within 15 mins and was great! My sole with lemon caper sauce and side of garlic sautéed spinach was perfectly delicate and delicious. Hub's pizza was obviously hand tossed, piping hot, light and yum! The only distracting thing - a V E R Y minor point - was the music overhead. Call me old fashioned, but when you have this warm decor and well appointed furnishings with a vast Italian menu, I wanna hear Frank and Dino crooning in the background. I wasn't opposed to the 80s and modern blend, but Palm Springs Rat Pack is definitely expected 'round these parts. They also have a beautiful lounge area for 21+ to enjoy live entertainment Fri - Sun evenings. That would be worth checking out for an aprés dinner drink and wind down. Italian, Chicago-style. Yes, they have deep dish. I love it so, but I didn't get some the first-time thru. But, mark my word, I will the next. Michael was great, as always, but the service and food...I will review: * Service was so very good, nice, and fun. * Bread service [$5] -- house-made focaccia, was just okay. Came with no-taste olive tapenade. * Bolognese with fresh (of my choosing) pasta [$22, 3.5 stars] -- well-done, but not really to my liking. It had sausage in it, and yes, it was listed on the menu...but I don't prefer meat sauce with sausage. The fresh noodles, I chose Capellini, had zero flavor. Needed salt when making, for sure. * My Mom loved her Frutti Di Mare [$26.00, 5.0 stars] -- had tons of flavor and loaded with seafood. She ate half, and took the rest home. We ordered two med Chicago style pizzas and a salad. The bill was over 100.00. I asked if they accept the discount card that Marriott gives you upon check in. Many local businesses give you a discount and they are not all associated with the Marriott. The response I received was no, we're not part of the Marriott. Neither are any of the other businesses on the card. They do it to support tourism. The pizzas were terrible to be honest, soggy wet dough. The best part was the crust. I didn't pay over a hundred dollars to only get good crust. Really bummed. I heard some great things, maybe some of the other dishes are better. ‍ read more

The only reason why I'm giving two stars is because of our server Hailee. This girl was working her tail off tonight. The USA soccer game was on tonight. The restaurant wasn't full or over booked by any means. There was just a couple of big parties in the area we were sitting at. The restaurant needed some TLC. There were a couple of water damaged tiles over the bar that were very noticeable and would be an easy fix, but hard to overlook. The restaurant itself self was fine. The food came and we ask the person serving our dinner for new utensils he brought us salad forks. ( I know that is not a huge thing,) but management have your servers and expo know the difference between a salad fork and a dinner fork. Basic management 101. Our food was served cold to the touch.. We notified our server and she apologized and took our food back to the kitchen. The manager Paul never came to check on us or ask if everything was ok. We order two special on the menu that came with desserts and it took 15 minutes for that to arrive and we never received three coffee drinks that we ordered when we finished our dinner to go with the desserts. The server brought us our check and said the manager Paul would like to compensate you for all the trouble. ( still never came to our table) he was so generous giving us 10% off the bill. We ask to speak to him and instead of saying he was sorry . He started arguing with us about how long the coffee orders took. Very disappointed in the way he handled everything . We paid the bill before he came over. When he arrived he "offered to take care of more, but never did anything to amend the bill. Just kept on arguing over the time. read more

This place is packed even on week nights. Tried to get a table and there was a 35+ minute wait. So we decided to order food to go as it estimated the food would be ready in 23 minutes. We ordered meatballs, garlic bread, a salad and a pizza. We waited and waited and their to go side was super busy. We waited 23 minutes and they were still behind schedule. We didn't get our food for another 20 minutes only to find that when we got home we didn't receive all our food. It had now been over an hour after we ordered the food. So it was a disappointment to have to go back to get our food. The meatballs were very moist and the sauce was favorable. Would definitely order this again. The garlic bread was hard but that could also be from the delay in getting our order and their attempts to keep all the food warm while waiting for other items. Will definitely try it again as it didn't seem like anyone's fault. But it was just a crazy busy evening. read more

I tried 2 Chicago dish pizzas and they weren't too bad. For the price you can't complain compared to other Chicago style pizza places.

I would like to highlight that the pizza here is a must-have. Our Caesar salad, Chicken parm and Caprese salad received great reviews as well. Although I had craved a meatball sub, I was disappointed to learn it was only available during lunch. The shrimp scampi did not quite meet our expectations. Nevertheless, Lilly, the manager, made sure we were fully satisfied prior to leaving. Excluding the scampi, every dish was outstandingly delicious. We stopped into Giuseppe's in Palm Desert on Saturday evening for happy hour and the place was absolutely hopping--in the best way. There were family celebrations, couples enjoying dinner, and a lively bar full of friendly people. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The food came out quickly and was delicious. My Italian husband is usually a tough critic, but even he said the sauce was almost as good as his mother's! The service was fun and friendly, which added to the relaxed, festive vibe. By the time we finished dinner, there was live music starting, which of course required another glass of wine before leaving. Horrible experience here. Came with a larger party of 10 people and made a reservation prior. We were immediately seated and our orders were taken promptly but the food was very mediocre. We ordered salads to share and asked the waitress how many people each salad serves and she said we could order a large for 3-4 so we ordered 2 of them. The salads were good but portions were definitely small. The deep dish pizza was soggy and they skimped on the toppings (like one piece of sausage per slice), definitely not real Chicago style deep dish. The chicken piccata was actually pretty good but not worth $26 for two small pieces of chicken. The hand tossed pizza wasn't bad either. Our problems arose when we got the check and they added on a $10 split fee for each salad (on top of the actual cost!), then when we asked the waitress about it she took it back and told us the manager told her to add it even though she clearly told us before we ordered that it would feed 3-4 people. After fixing that, she gave us the check for the second time and it had a completely new dish added to it ($16). Thankfully we caught it and asked for it to be removed so after the third time, the check was finally correct. This all left a sour taste in our mouths and definitely will not be returning or recommending it. We went because it was conveniently located to the marriott only. Updating since the owner reached out to me and credited back a portion of the dish for the inconvenience.
