Wow! What a great venue! We were enjoying our timeshare for the week. So Giuseppe's seemed like a logical choice for dinner. We had such a great experience that we canceled all our other dinner reservations for the week. Including our Ruth Chris reservation! Paul the Manager is so engaged (I swear he has super hearing!) to make sure every guest is enjoying their evening and food! He also seems to create an environment for his employees where they love their job. We sat at the bar each night for a couple reasons... the happy hour menu that runs all the way until 7pm that has so many in great options! Also, the bartenders (V, Izzy and Ray) Are so attentive and fun. So our dinners had amazing food, fun bartenders and awesome service! Skip the other desert restaurant options! We did! We are staying at Shadow Ridge and decided to give Guiseppes' for dinner. Made reservations for 6:30 and upon arrival, we were seated immediately The only drawback for me was the LOUD live music. It would have been acceptable but it was like screaming loud therefore making it very difficult to have any conversation with our friends. The place was packed but their system of serving the customers worked well. We sat down it took a while to get our drink orders. But shortly thereafter, our dinner orders were taken and the food came out in a timely manner. Their bread is amazing, we asked for a second basket. Three of us ordered the Pre-fix menu which included a starter, entree, and dessert. The food was tasty and good. They brought our own water and iced tea bottles out so that we could refill ourselves when needed. Will definitely be back as we love to visit this resort and enjoy a mini vacay. read more

The food was excellent - my wife had a burger and I got the Italian grinder. For $15 we got a sandwich, a side, and a piece of cake. The lunch special also has some pasta options as well. Wasn't super busy or noisy, which was much appreciated. Apparently they have happy hour daily, 3-7. Definitely going to hit this up more often. read more

This is a follow up re: Giuseppe's vs Piero's Pizza Vino. Ordered take out pizza from Giuseppe's last night. Ready on time. They cut the pie in triangles if you prefer that to squares (I do) and the pizza was delicious! The prices are better than Pizza Vino and the manager is very friendly. Given the food quality plus the absence of a POS like Manny at Pizza Vino, Giuseppe's is my new go-to pizza place in Palm Desert. Cross Pizza Vino off your list of favorite eateries and check out Giuseppe's! I will NEVER go back to Pizza Vino cuz of Manny. Very good service for most of our meal, seated promptly and our drink order was taken right away. It's Restaurant Week in Palm Springs so the Palm Desert had a prix fete menu that 2/3 of us ordered. The house salad is very good with lots of tasty additions. Hubby had the spinach salad and daughter had their clam chowder. All three came out quickly. For our entree we ordered the personal pan pizza, eggplant parm and medium deep dish. We went in at 545 and it wasn't too busy, but by the time we left it was full and our service with our waitress slowed considerably. We didn't get another water refill and had to wait a bit to pay the check. The golf course setting and outer area was beautiful. Interesting music in the background and nice setting. If it were closer to home we would definitely return and try other items on the menu. read more

Long and short - the food was outstanding - every dish was fabulous / we had eggplant parmigiana, a personal Chicago deep-dish pizza and a hand-tossed personal pizza. All delicious! This was a new restaurant at the resort we like to stay at. The worst fault was it was quite noisy. Not sure if it was an acoustic issue. We started off with the garlic cheesy bread. It had a slice of melted mozzarella on top and it was very yummy, especially since it had a delicious marinara dipping sauce. It could used more garlic (after all, it was garlic bread). My wife had the pasta with meat sauce, and it was just ok. I had pasta marinara with 2 meatballs, and it was EXCELLENT!! It was a wonderful sauce saturated with tomatoey flavor, and a hint of sugar. Dessert was a large scoop of chocolate Gelato, and it hit the spot!! We liked our dinner so much that we made a reservation for our last night at the resort!! read more

Another carb loading day before relay race. It brought me and my teammates to Gluseppes Restaurant. I believe it regional chain cause name sounds familiar and been to one before in life. It good memories of good basic Italian food. Interesting with this restaurant it sits on golf course and kind of club house for members. The outside hard to find or tell because only one sign outside. It looks more like pulling up club house or upscale golf course. The golf course makes it different views sitting outside on the patio. We did because the weather was perfect. I went with stable pasta dish like carb loading nice hearty bolognese. It was spot on. Nothing fancy but tomato sauce in point. Hearty and filling. We went to Giuseppe's with high hopes. We love Chicago deep dish pizza. The closest good deep dish near the desert is in Phoenix. The restaurant and bar was nice, loud and busy. The service was only fair, seemed like they were understaffed and the bar was slow and the drinks expensive. The biggest disappointment however, was the pizza. The cheese and crust were good but you could barely find the sausage on our pizza. Our friends went on a scavenger hunt for their pepperoni. The most prominent feature of the pizza was the tomatoes, LOTS of tomatoes. Actually too many tomatoes. We left disappointed with no plans to return. read more

I pretty much love all Italian food. But it doesn't mean that I've had some bad experiences; this wasn't one of them. In fact, I would rate it towards the top for higher-end Italian. Service was spot on, with drinks arriving fairly quickly and refills on my Diet Coke steady. I had the chicken parm and some slices of pizza, which we took home. The chicken parm, while a little thin on the chicken, had a nice breading that added the right amount of texture and flavor. Instead of spaghetti, they served Manicotti with pasta sauce as the side. I heard from the table that it was the best cobb salad they had ever had, which is saying something about salad! We took some pizza home, which I reheated the next day, and it passed the "pizza spend the night in the fridge" test very well. Made a perfect afternoon snack. read more

This location has been open 11 weeks as of 10.21.25, according to our great server, Izzy. I was wondering why so few pictures & reviews of such an amazing location, beautiful decor and delicious food. If you're staying at the Marriott Shadow Ridge, it's a fairly easy walk from any of the buildings to the location, just to the west of the registration/lobby area, in the building with the golf shop. We knew we would enjoy one no cooking in our resort unit at least one night, so after strolling around the property to check things out, we headed to Giuseppes for a bite. Without a reservation on a Tuesday night at 7:15, we were happily offered outside patio or bar for immediate seating, or a ~10-15 mins wait for the dining room. We selected the bar area and were escorted to a high table aside the bar immediately. Hubs perused the large menu while I snapped pics all around - I already knew I was having the sole. lol Izzy came over within a couple of minutes and offered to take a drink order while we looked at the menu, but we knew what we wanted so ordered straight away. Izzy smiled and thanked us for making it so easy. Off he went and we sat back to take in the beautiful decor and expanse of this large restaurant. Our food arrived within 15 mins and was great! My sole with lemon caper sauce and side of garlic sautéed spinach was perfectly delicate and delicious. Hub's pizza was obviously hand tossed, piping hot, light and yum! The only distracting thing - a V E R Y minor point - was the music overhead. Call me old fashioned, but when you have this warm decor and well appointed furnishings with a vast Italian menu, I wanna hear Frank and Dino crooning in the background. I wasn't opposed to the 80s and modern blend, but Palm Springs Rat Pack is definitely expected 'round these parts. They also have a beautiful lounge area for 21+ to enjoy live entertainment Fri - Sun evenings. That would be worth checking out for an aprés dinner drink and wind down. This place is packed even on week nights. Tried to get a table and there was a 35+ minute wait. So we decided to order food to go as it estimated the food would be ready in 23 minutes. We ordered meatballs, garlic bread, a salad and a pizza. We waited and waited and their to go side was super busy. We waited 23 minutes and they were still behind schedule. We didn't get our food for another 20 minutes only to find that when we got home we didn't receive all our food. It had now been over an hour after we ordered the food. So it was a disappointment to have to go back to get our food. The meatballs were very moist and the sauce was favorable. Would definitely order this again. The garlic bread was hard but that could also be from the delay in getting our order and their attempts to keep all the food warm while waiting for other items. Will definitely try it again as it didn't seem like anyone's fault. But it was just a crazy busy evening. read more

This is our favorite restaurant in Palm Desert! And, lucky for us that it is located on our timeshare property. We spend a minimum of 8 nights at the Marriott Shadow Ridge every year. Coming to dine here is definite must for us. This year, we ate here two nights in a row....lol. The service is amazing. Paul is an absolute delight. All of the staff is dope AF. I really wanted to love this place. Great atmosphere, terrific staff, our waiter was top notch and the owner and manager were great. One of the best Caesar salads I have had, but that's where it ends. Short Ribs were tough and no bone(boneless cheaper cut and tougher) and quite pricey. Should have been premium bone-in for price. Also, beware of horseradish placed on top of mashed potatoes. They charge $5 for dry small basket of Focaccia bread. Most portions were kind of small for what they charge. Linguine and clams just ok, but small portion. Cannoli had way too much cinnamon. I may be fussy having been in the restaurant biz and being italian. read more

Italian, Chicago-style. Yes, they have deep dish. I love it so, but I didn't get some the first-time thru. But, mark my word, I will the next. Michael was great, as always, but the service and food...I will review: * Service was so very good, nice, and fun. * Bread service [$5] -- house-made focaccia, was just okay. Came with no-taste olive tapenade. * Bolognese with fresh (of my choosing) pasta [$22, 3.5 stars] -- well-done, but not really to my liking. It had sausage in it, and yes, it was listed on the menu...but I don't prefer meat sauce with sausage. The fresh noodles, I chose Capellini, had zero flavor. Needed salt when making, for sure. * My Mom loved her Frutti Di Mare [$26.00, 5.0 stars] -- had tons of flavor and loaded with seafood. She ate half, and took the rest home. I want to start by saying we purchased a $50 gift card for $25 from Coachella Valley Deals. We went to the restaurant on a Saturday night. We did not have a reservation, so we were lucky to find a table in the bar. After our meal was finished, we were told the gift certificate was not valid in the bar or lounge area. If I would have known that or they would put that information up front, I would not have purchased the gift certificate. My wife and I thought we would give the restaurant a second chance. I made a reservation 8 days in advance. There was supposed to be a country singer for entertainment that Friday night. When we arrived, there were a lot of open tables. We were told we HAD to sit at a two top next to the stage, even though there were three other empty two tops. The manager was an A hole stating "no switching!" The country singer was not country, he was singing Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin songs. I looked around and the entire restaurant fell asleep. We live in an older community, but we DON'T want to hear that depressing music. The week before, we had the displeasure of listening to a Stevie Nicks impersonator. Awful, absolutely awful. The restaurant's prices are not cheap. yet they can't be spending more than $20 a night on their entertainment. My wife and I have been to a thousand concerts in the valley and I can honestly say, these last two weeks entertainers were among the worst we have ever heard. read more

We were so happy that the restaurant was finally back open at the resort. It's been a few years since we have been there, and we always loved having the option to stay on campus for some food and drinks. We had lunch there on a friday afternoon at the bar and tried a sandwich, meatballs, and some salads. Everything was really good. Drinks were cold, and the service was good. We just wish they were open a little later on the weekends. We know summer is slow, but it would be nice to have real food after a day at the pool, instead of chicken fingers, or a pizza delivered to the room!
