Ordered food to go from this location of Guisados - it's an outdoor restaurant with covered seating (few tables). For the two of us for dinner (plus a little extra) it was ~$30. Food: Tamales (ordered, but I didn't try) - although not found on the online menu they had four choices on the handwritten menu here and ordered pork and cheese. I got three tacos for my dinner which was more than enough, I think two would have been the right size. Asked for recommendations on what to get - 1 beef (steak picado), 1 pork (papas con chorizo), 1 chicken (tinga de pollo). All had great flavors, but I felt like the steak picado was my least favorite, I suggest to get whatever your favorites are or try a few (they have a sampler platter on the menu which is 6 mini tacos). Wrapped it up with a refreshing melon (cantaloupe) agua fresca in the big size - I saw him scoop it out from near the bottom, it was very pulpy but excellent. I parked at a meter on the street (read all signs carefully) and Beverly Hills public parking lots are a few blocks away if you need one. read more

I don't eat here unless I'm desperately hungry in the morning. The tacos are just okay to me. The last 2 times I've tried the breakfast tacos, I say to myself... wow I could make this myself then pay $4.50 for one breakfast taco. Today i ordered 4 tocino (bacon) and 2 weenie breakfast tacos. I don't know why it took forever to make. Can't be hard to just make bacon and heat up some hot dogs right? I open up 2 of them and they don't have any meat in them. The other ones just have literally one slice of bacon and 4 hot dogs. Jeez the disappointment. It was just a big slab of egg with some potatoes and cheese. The workers were so kind, friendly and helpful, and you can definitely tell their care for their business through their lovingly prepared food! What I tried: Taco Sampler: 6 of the cutest mini tacos with some of their most popular flavors - perfect if you're indecisive like me. Their tortillas were so soft and flavorful, and definitely among some of the best that I've had! Tamale: tasted so authentic and fresh! It had a good amount of filling and tasted like it was homemade. Would definitely order again! Ceviche: features a generous serving of fresh raw fish and a fried tortilla, which you can break off and eat like a chip. I personally thought it was a bit on the acidic side, and would definitely skip/add less tapatio and lime Also highly recommend the melon agua Fresca, which tastes like actual cantaloupe! This is the second time I have come. The first time I came, I ordered the sampler which was ok. This time around I ordered the full size tacos and they were much better. Ordered the chorizo (had a small hint of spice), steak picado, and bistec en salsa roja (my favorite of the 3.) Service window is quick, with plenty of outdoor seating, and convenient parking $3 - $6 depending on how long you are there. Hidden space in Beverly Hills, but overall a good stop if you are in the area and wanting tacos. read more

Absolutely loved this place! It's cute, casual, and the food is fantastic. It's tucked behind the pharmacy, right by the parking lot. My husband and I stopped by for lunch on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too busy. The service was quick, and our food came out fast. We ordered the taco sampler, which included small versions of several kinds: chicken, bistec, steak picado, tinga de pollo, chicharrón, and cochinita pibil. We also got full-sized orders of the steak tacos and the chicken mole poblano tacos -- both were excellent! I especially recommend the mole poblano and steak tacos. My husband really enjoyed the cochinita pibil, though it does have a bit of a kick. The handmade, freshly pressed tortillas were a highlight -- they really took the tacos to the next level. 5 stars are hard for me to give. But Guisados is DEF a strong 4+. Authentic taco filings and deliciousness in every bite. Very close to what I would call "exclusive designer /high end" tacos but at very decent "bargain " prices! Every Guisados I have tried is clean and friendly. Fresh made Aguas too. I ordered mole poblano and bistek en salsa roja and melon drink. I picked up the drink at the window next to the cashier. The tacos were brought to my table. The tacos came with a soft and chewy tortilla. The melon drink was refreshing. A water dispenser was between the cashier and seating. There's plenty of bench style seating outdoors. There's no restroom here. Paid parking is available in the lot in front of the restaurant. Free parking can be found on the street. read more

The service was really great and the staff was super friendly. The food tasted amazing and the flavor was very authentic. My only complaint is the parking is a bit of an issue but once you're in the restaurant the food makes it all worth it. read more

I was super excited to find a breakfast burrito in Beverly Hills for less than 10 bucks. While waiting for my food, I was imagining how I would divide the burrito. I usually can't finish the whole thing so do I get through half? do I lose self-control and gobble the entire burrito? Well, that question was answered for me when said burrito was in hand: it was petite . . . tiny even. At best the size of a child burrito, but maybe not quite even that - like a toddler burrito. It tasted fine, sort of bland with minimal vegetables inside. I ordered the Mexicana, which was supposed to have onions and tomatoes and jalapeños, I didn't really seem to have any of that, but it was cooked well (soft eggs) and was still satisfying - healthy tasting. I will definitely come back, but next time I'll go for the breakfast tacos, at least my mind (;and stomach) will be better prepared for the portion size. It was my first time here, so I ordered the sampler. Everything was really good and PACKED with flavor. The sampler has 6 mini tacos that are about 2-3 bites and a good way to try a bunch of different flavors. I wanted to try the quesadilla in the sampler, and that's the only one that was a pass for me. It was basically a piece of non-melted cheese on a tortilla lol. read more

Wow! Insanely delicious soft tacos and tamales. This is a unique place in an unexpected location, right in the middle of Beverly Hills, near a pharmacy. The flavors are very original. You order at the counter. No alcohol served. It's all covered patio seating. My son and I had three rounds of tacos...that's how good they were. I love the variety and assortment of interesting tacos at Guisados. Cochinita pibil: 5/5. Excellent, juicy pork that was very flavorful, but the best part had to be the pickled onion on top. I got 3 spice and it wasn't bad. Next time I'll get more of this one. Chuleta en chili verde: 4/5. A solid chile verde taco. I felt the chile flavor got a little lost in with the beans, but I'd rather have the beans than not. Still enjoyed it a lot. Papas con chorizo: 4/5. Another great taco. The chorizo brings a lot of flavor and I really enjoy the potato. I wish there was a little salsa though to add sole moisture. Horchata: 5/5. A flavorful horchata that's very milky. It may have just been my batch but I do prefer an horchata that's more milky than watery, and thus scratched that itch. We parked in the adjacent neighborhood and saved some $. Food is good but the portions are small. The burritos you get are smaller than regular. It's encouraged you get more such as a few tacos on the side to be satiated. A bit overpriced but it is in Beverly Hills so its almost standard in the area. read more

When I told him I was in Beverly Hills for an event today, he mentioned Guisados was nearby, which was walking distance away! Oh yeah! Vegan Medley Taco: My absolute favorite! The veggies were seasoned & sautéed to perfection! I didn't want the experience to end, delicious with every single bite! Vegan Peppers Taco: Spicy, just how I like it! Guisados is a great introduction to real Mexican tacos...just short of getting the real deal in Mexico. From the hand made tortillas to the different varieties of meat and seafood tacos, Guisados has something for everyone. If you don't know what to pick, try the sampler plate with smaller versions. From there you'll find your favorite the next time around. I am not a fan of thick tortillas, but then again, I am used to the store bought ones from Vons...these tortillas are clearly 1000 times better. At this location, you can see them make the tortillas before they are slapped on the grill. All the tacos have a great, authentic flavor. I wandered over to Kristina's side of town, here in downtown Burbank and she loves this local taco spot bc you guessed it: Vegetarian tacos! They have a wonderful selection: cactus, squash, mushrooms blended vegetarian tacos. We ordered the squash tacos which were absolutely delicious and the hibiscus tea. The Tacos taste handmade. Love the number of braised taco options. I got the taco sampler and the tacos were really small. The tamales were really good we got the Chile verde. Overall, I do prefer my Al pastor tacos so I might not come back. Defo highly recommend if you like the braised meats. read more

Went here on an outing with my wife. I had the chorizo quesadilla, two shrimp tacos and a large jamaica. The store is in an interesting spot, but you have to pay to park. Service is excellent and friendly. I will say the quesadilla was ok not too spicy with a piece of cheese, not sure what kind of cheese, that was not melted totally. The shrimp tacos were good, but not great. I had no expectations but was not expecting bell pepper and onion with spicy crema sauce. The shrimp were a little rubbery for my liking and had the texture of firm scrambled eggs. The jamaica was the star of the meal, sweet but not too sweet, and bursting with flavor of the hibiscus. I would go back for the jamaica itself. I'd try this place again if I'm in the area but would not go out of my way to eat here. read more

My favorite taco chain of all time. The tortillas are just so delicious. I haven't tried the meat tacos, I'm just so stuck on the shrimp and fish... and the ceviche tostada is so refreshing. They've really up-leveled their outdoor seating patio, according to my friend -- it's covered and has heat lamps! It's super easy to order at the window and the food comes out really fast. I love that they have so many vegetarian and vegan options and literally every taco I tried was flavorful and delicious -- I especially loved the Hongas con Cilantro. Ceviche - fresh, delicious, juicy, tons of lime juice which is just how I like it! Tacos - Steak picado is my favorite Camarones is yummy but spicy Cochinita pibil - flavorful and juicy Chuleta - not my favorite Horchata - definitely on the sweet side but yummy with tons of cinnamon Service 5/5 The gentleman at the cashier explained the menu, spice levels, and let us know that 3-4 tacos is usually enough for one person. We each had 4 tacos. Ambiance + parking 4/5 There's decent amount of seating with heaters. You pay first and they bring the food to you. However, they don't have bathrooms which I think is an inconvenience since I prefer to wash my hands before and after eating tacos or any food.. They have a lot that costs $10 to park. I was able to find free street parking. Price 4/5 I think prices are comparable to other taco places. I do wish the tacos had more toppings but they're delicious on their own too! I have always wanted to try Guisados. They age. A weak locations. I was in Beverly Hills and wanted some tacos. Absolutely delicious. Their Guisados rate homemade and reminds me of my childhood. For those of you who may not know, the word in Spanish means stew. The meat is stewed with a lot of flavor. The tortillas are hand made too! I ordered three tacos and they were absolutely delicious. I had the bistek en salsa rojo and steak picado for my beef options. What I liked about the taco was that there are black beans in the bottom. The beef was perfectly tender and flavorful. I really liked the combinations of chiles they add to the beef. My chicken option was tinga de polo. Let me tell you it was spicy! Great heat and very savory. Stood out!
