My friend and I decided to come here for a girls lunch. We each ordered the antipasto salad and a small pizza to split. The mushrooms on the pizza were directly out of a can. The pizza would have been better had the mushrooms been fresh. I got the core of the lettuce in my salad and the waitress told me that's how they do it. We've been to Guido's at least twice a month for the last 5 years. Now, it is very disappointing. We were there for over one hour and never got our food. We finally left. I am glad we did and will never return. The air ducts are filthy and when I saw them, I got sick to my stomach. My family and I were craving pizza and we love supporting local restaurants!! Boy did we make a great choice with trying Guido's Pizza for the first time. It was Saturday and they had a special of 1 large two topping pizza with an order of bread sticks.... HOLY COW!! The bread sticks with garlic sauce was to die for!! We love Guido's! It's our families go to place after little league games or when we've had a long day in town and just need a break from cooking. The pizza is excellent - never disappoints. The hot sandwiches are good and very generously sized. The breadsticks, though, are heaven in a bowl. They are fluffly, buttery and loaded with garlic and parmesan. My husband and I fight over the bowl when the breadsticks are gone because we want to dip our pizza into the leftover garlicky, buttery, cheesy sauce. The service has always been great until the very last time we were in. The waitress we had didn't seem to know what she was doing and was very rude. We visired the Dewey location. Ordered a calzone and wings. BBQ wings were smothered with it seems 1/2 a bottle of bbq sauce. The calzone was prepared like they did not know leaving 8 pepperonis in one spot would not be good. The pizzas at Guidos are good, the problem with them is their staff at the PV branch. We ordered some pizzas on Saturday 11/09 and asked for a gluten free with NO cheese. My wife is lactose and gluten intolerant and when we got the pizzas it was smothered in cheese. When we questioned it the attitude the pregnant woman working there was much to be desired. I shouldn't be surprised as the arrogance AND ignorance in this town runs rife. I love the new Guido's in PV! Food is great, prices are great too! However, the few times we've been in, there is only one person working the entire restaurant. Last Friday during lunch we felt so sorry for her! She was literally running. The tables were full, couple of large groups too. I wanted to get up and help her with the drinks at least. Not sure why I didn't give this place 5 stars before, but still the best pizza around. Their Dewey Location is much better, but no other pizza around compares! I never feel heavy after eating here like I do other pizza places. There breadsticks are probably one of the greatest things I've ever eaten. Guido's is a outstanding local pizza shop located in Dewey and also Prescott Valley. Their pizzas are some of the best around and no one can beat their prices. They also have lunch specials that are even a better bargain. Their subs are a good size and loaded with meat. I especially like their tasty hot wings which are baked. The last few times I've been to Prescott in the last couple of years or so I have always stopped at Guido's Pizza. It's the breadsticks that keep me coming back. They are amazing! They are soft, buttery, and topped with parmesan. They also have these same breadsticks as a dessert without parmesan and instead topped with cinnamon and sugar on top. Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to have these fresh as I always seem to stuff myself full with regular breadsticks and pizza. I have had them a few hours after the fact and they were still tasty but I'm sure they would be great freshly made. The pizza is good too. Service is good, it's a small place and I have never been there when it was busy. It has a slow pace but I like that as I usually go with friends and family and we always enjoy the opportunity to catch up, talk, and laugh. One time a server kept changing the channel off the football game which was slightly annoying, turned out she didn't realize she was pointing the remote at both televisions. Once we pointed it out she narrowed her scope and we all had a nice laugh about it. I'm sure I'll be hitting up Guido's next time i'm in the area, can't keep me away from those breadsticks. read more

We ordered 4 pizzas in total plus some other appetizers. When we brought the pizzas back to the house, we noticed one was the wrong pizza. When my nephew called back, they said that they would remake the pizza but we would have to pay for it. They also said that they didn't have the signed receipt to check if we were lying about our order and never gave us our own receipt. Excellent pizza and positively surprised with the Parmesan/garlic piled on their breadsticks with a side of garlic cream cheese dip. Staff was great; service was fast and efficient with drink refills/food delivered to our table. We were up in the area to enjoy sledding with the kids and wanted to find a local pizza joint. This was right along 69 in Dewey on the way back to I-17. This place was the right choice! Don't expect new fixtures and upscale design, the atmosphere is more "hole in the wall". Only recommendation is to serve the marinara dipping sauce for the breadsticks warm instead of cold and a working website with a menu. We'll definitely stop here again! read more

The crust is flaky and crispy and the flavor is wild. Do not leave without ordering the bread sticks! Trust me. We popped in Saturday evening, August 31, 2013. The place was busy and they had only one waitress serving, bussing, and cashiering -as well as serving the take-out customers. We had to wait quite a while for a booth to be cleaned (many empty tables, most dirty). Seeing how she had so much on her plate, we patiently waited. She remained pleasant and collected and when we were finally seated, she took great care of us. We ordered the 16" pizza with double pepperoni and beef as well as breadsticks and a pitcher of beer. The pizza came with sausage instead of beef. Since I avoid pork whenever reasonable, I was a bit let down with the sausage as I was already willing to accept the pepperoni. Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves (no, I didn't complain). The bread sticks, though, were really, REALLY DELICIOUS!! Way too much garlicky-butter and parmesan cheese. JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT! Really, even though the waitress was pulled in every direction, she gave us wonderful service and the food was nice. First time to order and the last. Ordered 2 pizzas and 2 dozen wings to go, bill almost $60.00. Ask for ranch dressing to go with the wings. Gal came back said "That will be 25cents per dressing" I replied, "Online menu states it comes with the wings." The older gal behind counter pipes in, "We are not online/website." I replied to gal taking our money, " It shows on your menu right on counter that it comes with wings" She said, "Not with the BBQ wings." I replied, " It does not say that on their menu." Visited the Prescott Valley location today for the first time. I read these reviews of great service. Yet I was greeted by a very grumpy blonde girl who was very short with me. I honestly felt guilty asking for plastic forks, because she kept walking away from me without saying anything after I had paid for the order. Terrible service experience! Hopefully Dewey is better, because I am willing to try the other location. As for the actual food... I ordered a calzone with ricotta, peppers and artichokes. It was okay, but it really seemed to lack the pizazz of most calzones. I was craving one, and I regret not ordering it from Streets of New York, which charges less and tastes better. Bummer! I think marinara would be a better side sauce than the pizza sauce, which is served cold. I'm pretty open minded and easy to please when it comes to pizza and pizza-esque foods. So I'm being sincere when I say I've experienced much better. Sorry Guido's, but you fail. :( read more

I am FUMING mad. We've been coming here for years and as of today this place will NO longer have our business. I'm also going to make sure that ALL of our friends and family take their business elsewhere. It's a small town and word travels fast!!! Ok so first of all, our last two visits have been extremely disappointing because of overall raised prices and low quality product. Secondly, I think it's now a requirement that the staff be rude and treat their patrons like an inconvenience. Last but not least, we are sooo over the newly adopted, absolutely ridiculous "nickel and diming policy" over EVERY LITTLE THING. For example: All of a sudden, you can no longer "split" your pizza into two halves of different toppings without being charged extra. In the past, you could order a 3 topping pizza with half of it being 3 toppings and the other half obviously being 3 other toppings of your choice. Oh no, NOT NOW! They want $1.75 per different topping. RIDICULOUS!!! They never used to be this difficult and this cheap. Asking for an extra condiment here and there was no problem whatsoever. You want an extra ranch or an extra garlic cream cheese now? Nope, sorry. Not without being legally robbed. When I inquired about all of the changes I was told, "Well, that's the owners new policies and I just work here. If you don't like it you can go somewhere else." My answer to that statement: " I will gladly go somewhere else." Like I said, I will no longer be supporting this outrage of a "business". I have no doubt that many others will grow tired of being ripped off and treated like crap. read more

I have gone in your place week after week. We work hard all week and on Friday we have to drive to mesa and back on Sunday so at times we actually go in your place twice a week. But every single time you cannot get one thing right I ask for a large all meet pizza with mushrooms and pineapple on one half and fresh sliced tomatoes on the side now hard can this be. you cannot seem to understand this though and I get cut up cooked toms in the pizza .
