My consultation with this MD was very emotionally traumatizing. I strongly recommend that you continue your search for a Plastic Surgeon in Honolulu. I have worked in the medical field for the past 10 years & I never imagined that I would encounter an MD as unprofessional, rude & unempathetic as Lozada, Guido MD. My fiance & I arrived on time & patiently waited for the MD. I brought with me a copy of all medical records pertaining to the reason for the consultation, Reconstructive Breast Surgery. This MD came recommended to me by a friend whom had similar cicumstances surrounding her past breast augmentation. I was informed prior to scheduling the appointment that this MD was a little eccentric when asked if I should be alarmed, I was told that despite his slight eccentricity that he had done so much to help her. So as you can imagine I was devestated & shocked to have left his office ( Kahala Cosmetic Plastic Surgery) in tears, after he came so highly recommended to me. A soon as the MD walked in to the room & the consultation started it was a constant downword spiral. During the consultaion he not once viewed the medical records that I brought in, he wanted me to answer his specific questions with short & to the point answers, when I attempted to go a little more in depth he cut me off. He asked me my place of employment, I at no time attempted to name drop or make it known that I work in the medical field. Ultimately he told me that my case is complicated, a big headache and he is not ready for that, he does not know how to help me & he can't help me. At one point I became overwhelmed & during the examination I became slightly tearful, I tried to hold back the tears, then the MD asked me what kind of patient I was, if I was usually calm or nervous. I could not believe what I was hearing, all attempts to hold back the tears at that time failed. I told him that I am usually a calm patient but this issue in particular is difficult to deal with. After the examination was over he reinerated once more on how he can't help me and he even made comments on how he usually doesnt push patients out of his office, which is exactly what he was doing to me. Despite feeling upset I respectfully thanked him for his time & as soon as he walked out the tears came pouring out. He told me nothing positive through out the entire appointment & had actually taken away some of the hope that I've held on to these past 4 years. Hope of finding a MD compassionate, understanding to the sensitivity of the issue and willing/able to help me. There is one thing that I've learned and that is Lozada, Guido MD is not the correct MD for me. read more
