Acklam Village Market is a street food market with some of the best street food in one place that I have ever seen. Not only do they have great food, there is a bar with a decent amount of seating. Like I said, we were there on a Saturday so the place was packed. I would definitely recommend arriving early and sharing with friends from a couple of the vendors. You are going to want to try everything and are going to have a very difficult time deciding what you want. We ultimately decided to split shawarma but it was so big we were too full to get anything else unfortunately. This market is totally legit and you will definitely want to visit it on your trip to London.

The fenced-off section is open at weekends only, but there are always some stalls to be found on Fridays too alongside the orange van selling proper Italian coffee from his VW camper. The selection ranges from more predictable Thai and Indian buffets to wraps from Venezuela or Jamaica. My favourites are the rice dishes from Afghanistan or Iran - delicious home cooking from countries I will probably never visit - and amongst the few not relying on deep frying. It's a good burger don't get me wrong, but the meat was a bit meh and it lacked any real punch aside from the jam, which personally I found slightly too sweet for a burger. My friend said that on this occasion, due to new team members, the burger wasnt as good as it usually is, so for now, 3 stars. It was good enough to want me to come back, but they need to impress!

They use high quality meat, the patties are formed fresh rather than being pre-formed pucks, and are grilled to juicy, sloppy perfection while you wait. I'm reviewing the pop up location that is at the Primrose Hill Farmer's market on Saturday…read moremornings. They offer Pho, noodle salad and Bahn Mis. I've only ever had their tofu bahn mi but that's because it's so heavenly that I'm too scared to try something different. The tofu is cooked in some sort of incredible sauce and the baguette is toasted. It's £6.50 and worth every penny. We've started to make a tradition to get it on Saturday morning.

Assalamu Alaykum!…read more Eat First is a Moroccan Street Food vendor on Golborne Road Market. I was immediately attracted to it by the stack of tajines and the friendly staff. I sat down at one of the 5 chairs and placed an order for a meatball tajine. Unfortunately, they were out of that already and so I went with the chicken tajine instead. That was lovely as well. They serve it with French bread on the side, so that you can soak up all the juices in the pan. The couple sitting next to me was eating a lentil soup and lentil soup being one of my favourite hearty dishes, I figured I should try one as well. I opted for the small portion (at £2.50), which wasn't actually small at all, but rather a big plate (see image). The soup needed a bit of flavouring, which was quickly done by adding a bit of the hot sauce they provide on the counter. At last, I ordered a freshly-brewed and heavenly-sweetened mint tea...that was a delicious finish to an unexpectedly fun lunch. Needless to say, I'm now a big fan of Eat First!
