Quick & reasonable price for key and fob for my 2006 Forester. Has lots of stock. Was recommended by Roopair. Good local business.

In an odd sort of way, it turned out my first choice wasn't my best choice!…read more I came across the listing and thought "OK - it's a little corny name, 'Those Tech Guys'" but honestly, if you hang around tech guys at all, you get it. I am far from a professional when it comes to IT installations, but I know enough to be dangerous. And after getting quotes to install ethernet in my 1980s circa home, one never wired for ethernet, one that just went through a significant renovation where I, in my supreme wisdom said "WiFi is great, now! Who need hardwires anymore?" was now faced with retrofitting several rooms and office with ethernet and said, this guy over here, the independent with a normal sounding company name, yeah - lets go with him! Mistake!! After schedule, and reschedule, and delays, and reschedule, we got nowhere with contractor number one. Meanwhile, Roberto and Peter at Those Tech Guys had patiently followed up several times, continued to be pleasant and professional, and AFTER I said no thank you I am going to go with someone else! So I made the dreaded call back - "So remember when I said if things change . . . " Peter was quick to jump on the phone, and walk me through things at every step. Gave me a highly competitive bid, and an install time of only a few days from when I called. They cam onsite, were clean courteous, and efficient. They played with my dog (I mean who doesn't love a bowling ball Staffy Bull Terrier mix?) and made light work of the install, and the final cost (with tip!) was even below the initial quote. This was made possible as Peter walked my home and together we found opportunities to do things more quickly, and save a few dollars along the way. In the end, I didn't choose Those Tech Guys first, but you should. No regrets here, other than I should have picked them first!

The install team, Evan and Cameron, are nice people. However, the job was subpar. Work started at 9…read morea.m. In the beginning, the team gave the impression that they were going to drop wires from the attic through soffit vents down to cameras for most of the run beside the doorbell. One of the team members had to drive back for a ladder during the job. And both finished at 5pm 16 billable hours for a 5 runs vs 6 runs and paid full price. The worst part is I was under the impression that they (during booking and pre-install) would try their best to conceal wires, but the majority of wires ended up exposed and longer than necessary. Camera down to crawl space then back up exterior wall (next to downspout) through soffit vent into attic. Vs. camera up exterior wall into attic via soffit vent. I tried contacting the team to offer to pay more to have wires rerouted to no avail. The cameras work. I'm grateful for that.

Alarm Works was the 6th company I called. I'm really glad reached out and made contact with them. Matt came out to my home and actually spent time walking through my home/property and thoroughly explained everything to me. He explained about the equipment quality, made recommendations as to where cameras should be placed and really explained the system to me so I could clearly understand what he was talking about. When he and his crew came out to install the system everyone was extremely helpful in explaining what they would be doing and were very respectful to me and my home. They were very careful and cautious while working in my personal living space and did an outstanding job of cleaning up after themselves. Matt took time to make sure I understood all the components of the system, the key pad, camera monitor, recording device and downloaded the apps to my laptop, phone, and I-pad.

The pros at Connect&Protect are the real deal!…read more I wanted 24h security cameras installed and evaluated a few companies and pros. Here's what set them apart: - Responsive and generous with advice on my home security needs even before hiring - Flexible planning and open to feedback. We had a good plan after an initial walkthrough, but even as I changed my mind a couple of times, they were open to discussion and iterating on a final plan with me - Competitive pricing The actual install itself was impeccable. High quality drilling, great wire management. If I had hired a handy man, this is where the work would have ended. But we ran into a complication with networking and the pros at Connect&Protect were able to effectively troubleshoot and fix it. It was a great experience end-to-end. It's clear that the folks at Connect&Protect cares about their customers and truly enjoy their craft. Highly recommended!

I booked this company in early June through an app called "Thumbtack" to install cable drops from my router to my office. After not hearing a response for a couple of days, I should have taken this as a sign, but I called the company to see what the hold up was. My phone call was returned-- and after a polite conversation with the owner, Khalil scheduled me for the 28th of June. between 10 am - 7pm. After about 12 noon, I didn't get a call from anyone so I called, and they said they would see where the tech was, and would call me back. After a few hours, I got a call back from the company and they told me they wouldn't be able to make it-- but had an opening on the 4th of July, and they could get me in. I was skeptical with it being a holiday, but they assured me that they would be there. Well, the 4th came and went, and not only did they not show up, I couldn't get in touch with ANYONE to figure out what was going on. The following Monday, I was called by the company after I left a message to figure out what happened. The owner eventually called me back-- and he apologized profusely and gave me some discounts to things and promised he would reduce my price. I gave him the benefit of the doubt.. (I know) But said he could be out there on Friday, July 18th. Between 10-5pm. As you can probably see, by noon, I got a message from the owner that he was stuck at a job and if he couldn't make it, could we change it again to 22nd of July. I told him that if he couldn't make it, then I would want a refund. I decided to cancel as it continually shows that I am not a priority. I was promised that I would be the first customer first thing on the 18th, but it has shown that he has put me on the back burner again. I also had to call each time, and it took forever to receive any service. I would highly suggest anyone considering them to read this post and be aware. I am currently waiting for a refund that was supposed to take 2 weeks, but they offered a cashier's check, which I accepted. Please don't book this company for any work if you value your money or your time.

Adding two more stars but there's a quick story behind the change. I again called the offshore call…read morecenter--who admitted they had no way to transfer me to a supervisor "in the States" so I asked for corporate headquarters phone number. Of course I was given the wrong number which was also the wrong state. A quick search gave me the actual corporate headquarters office in Florida. Called the phone and got myself in the right queue. The call was answered by lady in help center support--customer relations. What does it say about any U.S. based company that they only way to get real customer service IS TO CALL THE US-BASED CUSTOMER RELATIONS DEPARTMENT? A very sad commentary on how low these companies place quality customer service below profits. But the lady did expedite the return of the long lost install tech who finished the job the following week. And thanks to her I got a call from an extremely friendly and helpful tech support guy named Anthony who walked me through the basic features and use of our new security system even though we were over an hour on the phone. Anthony requested that I fill out the survey on him which I'd get after our phone call. Still waiting, Anthony. I mentioned the missing survey to customer relations lady and got no response. But she did make two follow up calls to verify that both tech support and the equipment install had been done. That was nice. So if you're reading this review, Anthony, I'd give ADT five stars if all its customer service staff provided your high caliber of service and were all worked out of offices located onshore.

The previous owners were using ADT and since the…read moreequipment was already there, we agreed to their 3-year contract, not knowing that none of the equipment was working as expected. We call them multiple times as the console would constantly disconnect from Wi-Fi, the bell alarm wasn't working, camera not working, and detectors on doors not working either. They came multiple times, replaced with less quality equipment. The technician damaged my wall by pulling a cable upwards and made a hole in the drywall. They refused to cancel the contract, although we turned off the unit more than a year ago. They are asking for us to pay the rest of the contract although they have charge us for 3 years for ZERO service! Stay away at all cost!

I had called several locksmiths, but they only do out calls for a minimum of $120. The lock was worth less than that but only had a key stuck in it. The guy behind the counter looked at it, went back into the back room, extracted the key and gave it back to me for no charge. Awesome service!! One of the other clerks helped me get a replacement shell for my pickup key fob. Only cost me $9.00 and I didn't have to have the fob re-synced. Unfortunately, they got away with quite a bit, and we're still dealing with the fallout. In response, we made the decision to install new security systems at both of our offices through Robblees Total Security. I never thought in a million years we would need the system so soon... but just this week, barely two months later, our second office was hit. Thankfully, because of the incredible system Robblees installed, the intruders were on the property for only 24 seconds before realizing it was a lost cause. The police and our management were able to respond immediately, secure the building, and only lost a couple of hours of business - which feels like a miracle compared to what could have happened! The system works, plain and simple! I could not recommend it more! Beyond the technology, the people were phenomenal. Derek helped us navigate all the logistics, Dominick led the installations with support from Dillon, and every single person we worked with was professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about protecting our businesses. I am sorry if I missed anymore team member names, you all were awesome! Sorry for the delayed review - but at least now I can confidently say: this system absolutely does what it's supposed to do! We are beyond grateful!

Time to just call a locksmith. Artem was super friendly out of the gate, and encouraged me to try the programming sequence again with a couple of tips. Still no luck. It is incredibly refreshing to encounter a small business owner that cares about the people and the problem more than just seeing them as revenue. Cannot recommend him enough.

Even so, ARC replied to me very first. From the moment I reached out, everything was on point. Artem got back to me right away, kept me updated, and showed up exactly when he said he would. Friendly. Not just polite in the "business sense," but genuinely kind and approachable. He treats you like a person, not just a job ticket. No hidden fees, no surprise charges. Everything was laid out before he even started. That kind of transparency builds enormous trust. He even gave me advice for my broken Chevy G20 van window. I like inside info about what techs are good for other services--especially if HE is this good. You can tell he knows locks inside and out. The job was done efficiently and correctly the first time. What impressed me most was the advice he gave me on how to avoid problems in the future and even ways to save money. Most people just do the job and leave--he actually cares enough to set you up for success long-term. He even gave me free advice on my front door knob (which wasn't the Pathfinder with the FOB key problem I originally called him for). Great communication too. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, so I felt confident about what was being done. The whole experience left me impressed--not only did my problem get solved quickly, but I also walked away knowing I had a trustworthy locksmith I can rely on for years to come. In a world where it's hard to find businesses that are professional, honest, and genuinely care about their customers, ARC Locksmith stands out in a big way. If you live in Tacoma (or in the PugetSound area, I'm in Auburn) and ever need a locksmith, do yourself a favor: call ARC Locksmith first. This is the kind of American small business that deserves all the recognition and support. This is my go-to locksmith from here on out. I also gave him a phatty tip for just being cool and saving me an hour of wait around and find out time. Many Thank you's Artem!
