We stopped by Guadalajara while traveling through Casper. I ordered the Deluxe Chicken Burrito and only had about two bites. It was so bland and dry. Luckily we had also ordered the Tostada de Ceviche de Camarones (Shrimp Ceviches on a tostada), which was delicious! It is seriously some of the best ceviche I have ever had and I ended up eating that instead of my burrito. Large portions, but stay away from the deluxe burritos. read more

In town for the weekend, called and got hung up on...called and no answer, went to place a to go order, took forever for them to put our order in and it was wrong when we finally got it! The largest Mexican food menu I've seen anywhere. Even Mexico. Everything I've tried is excellent. The carne asada is the best I've had in any state or even Mexico. No joke. The complimentary chips come with both beans and salsa which is nice. The salsa is just average, but they have better sauce they refer to as their taco sauce you have to request to get. Mixed drinks are always good and large. I recommend the original margarita. The restaurant is so large even when it's busy you'll be seated immediately. Decor is fun and was recently updated. Service is always good and drink refills come quick. Only issue is the restrooms stink the place up of sewer gas, so don't sit close. read more

It is mexican yes but as far as the best. No The beef was a bit greasy for me and the rice did not say you need more. I believe the beans were almost there but still lacked in flavor. Hands down, with out question, the WORST Mexican food I've ever eaten. Honestly, Taco Johns and Taco Bell is about 3 steps up from here. In fact, I feel like I'm insulting these 2 fast food chains by mentioning them in this review. My wife and I recently moved to Casper from Houston. Always looking out for good restaurants and big fans of authentic Mexican food, we thought we were on the right path, but only found disappointment. The canned cheese topping (sauce) is so runny and synthetic tasting, I'd question its origin. I had really enjoyed this restaurant. Food is very good but service has went downhill! A couple of months very hard to get drinks or orders done but was quite busy that night. Went back today at 4:30 PM and few customers were there and still waited 10 minutes before bartender came to bar and took my order and gave me a menu to order dinner. In the next 20 minutes she was not at bar. New arrivals and those of us who had a least one drink were going dry. I finally asked a waitress to get the bartender back to the bar. We dine at this west side eatery about once a month and always enjoy our experience. The decor is wonderful. .. the owners completed an addition last year which includes a large indoor fountain. The dinnerware is colorful talavera from Mexico. They have an extensive cocktail menu of many kinds of flavored Margaritas, my favorite is the coconut margarita. Food servings are large.. or maybe I should say LARGE. The food is average to good, not as great as say, a upscale Sonoran style restaurant in Arizona, but totally adequate, especially considering it's Wyoming. I really enjoy the Menudo soup, very authentic. Wait staff are personable and friendly. Excellent Value. 4 solid stars for sure! read more

Food is still good, but the service has gone from consistently excellent to always crap in the last six months. I go there with my fiancée, probably 1-2 times a month. At least we used to. When we moved to Casper after I got out of the Navy, we were thrilled to find this place. She is vegetarian and is allergic to gluten. Does not leave us a lot of options for food where she can eat something other than a salad, Mexican food is one of those options. Food used to be plentiful, and good. Service was 5 star 90% of the time, and even when it was slow.. It was not that bad in all honesty. Restaurant service is Casper is iffy as it stands, as many of the usual people who would work there are in the oil field here. Last THREE times we went, we get seated right away.. And WAIT. 5+ minutes for the waiter to even come by. Larger parties seated after us have appetizers before we even get our chips and a drink. Two of the last three times, she has specified no beans. Waiter repeats it back, so we know he heard us. Food comes with beans. Gets sent back. They just scrape it off the plate. Good thing it's just a "don't like beans" and not a "I will die if I eat them" sort of thing. Every place has off nights, but this place has gone downhill. And most of the recent reviews show it. The food is still good, but the service is so bad, that I cannot justify the cost of going there. read more

This place is clean. We went for lunch and got some lunch specials. They weren't very pricey but they were good and plenty! I got the Chimichamba and that was good. Be careful, the plate is hot! Get the Horchata beverage because it's good as well :) Overall, my fiancé and I had a nice experience. We would go back again. read more

We have ate here several times and usually the food and service is great. We have even ate here during the busy lunch hour and been able to be in and out quickly. However... one Sunday this September we braved the after church crowd who were toting all their "kids who eat free" on Sunday's...and oh, that was a MISTAKE. We got seated at a booth. Waited, and waited, and waited for chips and salsa and even a hint at who our server might be. We saw no one. Certainly plenty of service people were running around but they did not make eye contact with us. Finally my husband told the hostess that we had not been waited on and she looked at him and said, "Ok" and walked off. Uh? Not "Oh no, I'm sorry I will get someone for you!" Really? About 5 minutes later the chip guy brings out bowls of chips and starts serving them to tables that had been seated AFTER us. We said something to him and he apologized and brought over chips right away. We told him we still had not seen our server and he said he would find someone. He did offer to take our drink order at least! FINALLY, our waitress appeared- no apology just showed up and wanted to know our order. Sigh, ok at this point we realized this eating out thing was just not going to work today. I just wanted food and wanted to get home. I ordered the beef and shrimp combo fajitas. When our food showed up, I was served only BEEF fajitas. Another sigh.... When the check came, we were charged for the shrimp and the beef. Not thrilled, not impressed, and we won't be back on a Sunday EVER again. Gimmicks of free food for kids is great and all, but when your company lacks in service to customers and is losing customers over having too many people to serve- I think the gimmick is a poor choice. Stopped for lunch during a road trip and selected this place after reviewing Yelp for suggestions. Newer building, looked good inside and out. Nice decorations from Mexico made the place look much better than run of the mill Mexican food places. Server was fast, courteous and knew the menu. Chips came with refried beans and salsa in separate bowls. Chips were not fresh out of the oil but crisp and tasted good. Refried beans were out of this world. no cheese, no sauce, nothing but beans and they were fantastic. Salsa was okay, but not a normal (for us) TexMex salsa. I had the chili verde, pork chunks in a green chili sauce with flour tortillas. Good pork, good sauce but no fresh made tortillas. They were soft and warm though, great for picking up the chunks of pork and sauce. Beans were as good as they chip dip but has white cheese on them. Rice was a great flavor but consistency and cook was average. Overall a good lunch for a very fair price. read more

Best restaurant in Casper! I've been coming to this restaurant for years. For the past almost two years I've come here once a week. The food is always outstanding and the staff is always super friendly. Like any other place, it gets pretty busy during lunch hour and also later in the evening. I mostly go around five in the evening and there's not many people there. The chips and salsa and refried beans that they bring to the table when you sit down are amazing. I don't know if I've ever had salsa as good. I've tried almost everything on the menu, and my favorite item would probably be the tortilla soup. It is fantastic! The fajitas are also really good, as well as the ranchero burrito and tacos al carbon. I've never ordered dessert because the strawberry whipped cream treats they bring out at the end of the meal are yummy enough to be the dessert. The service here is great. The food is not only served fast and with a smile, but the waiters go above and beyond that. I always have a few kids with me including a two-year-old. Without asking, our waiter will bring out saltine crackers for her and her own little plate so I can share my food with her. I've never had bad food here. I've eaten at every Mexican restaurant in this town and trust me, none are as good as here. read more

This establishment must be under new ownership or new management. My family and friends have long used this restaurant for weekly gatherings and the occasional birthday meal. We have all consdidered the food to be exceptional and the service to be quick and friendly. Our last 3 visits have been everything but good food and good service. The first time I figured it was a off night, everyplace has them. The next time we visited we waited nearly 40 minutes before they took our order (the restaurant was not that busy) and the another 25-20 minutes before all of us had our meals and 2 plates were stone cold. I asked to talk with a manager, not to read him the riot act but to simply convey our latest disappointment. No manager available so I called the next day, no manager, talked with the employee that answered the phone and asked for management to call. Even explained that I was not hostile about my complaint but thought it needed to be heard. No callback. Being long time patrons we headed back down to our once favorite Mexican restaurant and once agaiin we had to wait for them to take our order and waited longer for the food to be served and again we had a couple cold plates. We asked that the cold food be taken back and replaced, this time the food came out about the same time the check arrived. Although it was not my food that was served cold I asked if they would deduct those meals and the did not. Instead of arguing with them we all decided after years of repeat business from us that we will no longer support this restaurant until things have changed. I hope your reading this Guadalajara. Understand that myself, my family and several friends will ask other family and friends to stop patronizing your establishment until things change.
