She seemed to not like to walk to my end of the table - would rather reach over 2 people to hand me anything (water, container, etc). And why they didn't get 5 stars. Tried the quesabirria (yak) - so yummy!! and, of course, the best marg in town! Always so great here! Just hope the waitress has a better day & realizes it doesnt take that many more steps to walk to the other end of an 8-top. Customers do notice. read more

We're picky about our Mexican food and this place did not disappoint!!! We were on a roadtrip and figured being in Wyoming we had to try yak and found this gem served it. The plate was good but whether it was yak or not wouldn't have changed that. We read a review to try the chile verde which isn't typically our favorite dish but it was well done. My kiddos shared the children's taquitos and they were surprisingly good!!! Staff was friendly and venue was clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend!!! read more

Birria tacos were very bland no birria seasoning at ALL the tortillas were soggy and had very obvious they weren't cooked how they should have. The owner was very nice nd welcoming. Service was friendly but they were messing around doing trust falls or wtv while in the front of customers. read more

The food here is wonderful but the service is terrible! The last time we came here they forgot about us and it was getting late. The staff was goofing around pushing each other in an office chair and throwing silverware at each other. We also had to go find someone to give us are ticket. I guess I didn't review this place earlier out of pure laziness. Here's the deal: it's best Mexican food in town. Sure, you can go to Guadalajara or La Cocina, but it won't be as good. Don't get hung up on the "it's not authentic" crap. Food tasting good is more important than cultural accuracy. Sure, Guadalajara has a big fancy restaurant, but I find their food rather bland and boring. Tacos Mexico has awesome green chile, tamales, and tacos. The habanero lime chicken will melt your face. The food here was excellent! Some of the best Mexican food I've had and I'm from Southern California where there are plenty of good Mexican spots. You get chips, salsa, and beans while you decide what to order. The beans are really good! On the menu we saw that this place serves Jeffree Star's yak meat. My husband ordered the yak birria plate that comes with rice, beans, and consommé. He enjoyed it. I tried a bite and yes it was very good. Only difference for me to tell it apart from beef is the texture. The yak meat is leaner. Husband also got the yak ramen, he loves ramen so he wanted to try it and he enjoyed that as well. I ordered the macho burrito. Comes with your choice of meat, I got chicken, rice, beans, sour cream, cheese, guacamole, and pico de gallo. It really lived up to its name! It was a huge generously stuffed burrito. I didn't take a picture of my burrito because I just made a big mess. Filling and one of the best burritos I have ever had. I recommend this place and would return if we're ever back in Casper, Wyoming :) read more

WARNING: Authentic Mexican Food In Casper. Some patrons experienced a fiesta in their mouth. The food is top notch. They had a fresh regular salsa, and beans out with chips when you arrive. They also have a green habanero salsa but it's really not that spicy. Their tacos are stuffed with enough meat to make two tacos, which is good because they serve it on double tortillas. If you can manage the not break the tack shells, it's basically a two for one kind of deal! Their hours are relatively short so make sure you head there early. read more

We had searched high and low for some good Mexican food since relocating to Casper from SE Texas, and this is the first both the wife and I wanted to return to. Owner Alex has put together not only a great menu, but also a great looking restaurant. Habanero Lime Burrito? Awesome. Fajitas? Top notch. Chimichanga? Excellent. And did I mention sopapillas? Food was fair. Their tacos are ALMOST where they need to be for an authentic taste. Waaaaay too much steak. And American!? cheese on the tacos is pretty silly. But for the price, they're fair. Probably won't come back unless they got rid of the cheese and added pico and some salsa options. They're just too close to "white people" tacos. read more

Maybe it was the hype from everyone I talked to that made this not live up to it's reputation. It could have been the fact that we waited 10 minutes to be seated and then another 30 minutes before our order was taken. I was close to leaving but really wanted to try it. The food was just ok. Underwhelming is maybe a better word. I had enchiladas (meh) and maybe I just need to try the tacos like the name lol. I always give places at least a second time to do it right. My family raved about this restaurant, so we went. I asked the waitress multiple times to fill my water glass, and each time she walked away and did not return. The food was mediocre and bland, even with the salsa. The ambiance was a akin to a fast food restaurant, nothing special just like the food. The restaurant was not overly busy and not understaffed...it came down to the waitresses did not care if their customers had a good experience or not. My favorite salad, the chicken habanero; which I get with no shell, has been jacked up to $17.99. That's ridiculous. A single tostada is $7.95. Just had the best Beef Enchiladas I have ever had. The sauce isn't Tex-Mex, but man it was fantastic.

Great place for lunch or dinner. Excellent street style tacos including their lime habanero chicken flavor. Tamales and enchilada plates are good. Rice has a nice flavor and texture. Most food including the salsa runs on the spicy side. The green chili is also excellent, but very spicy. Daily special is usually some type of burrito. read more

Only bad thing about this establishment is service. Overall, it wasn't bad but it was not the best. I constantly had to ask for refills, dishes to be cleared, to go boxes, and the check. It may have been busy while we were there so I'm not going to read much into it. The food was good but not what I was hoping for...now I've had authentic South American dishes that were south of the border....so nothing north of said border is going to match up. One of the worst dining experiences of my life!!!! Service was terrible. Food took forever and had to ask about my food twice! My son got the chili cheese burger and fries and was non eatable! Greasy cold fries and the chili was tomato sauce with some weird meat. My chimichanga was greasy and the green chili was a joke. I will NEVER eat there again. A waste of time and money! I tried it several times, just not to my liking. I've had a lot of meals in Mexico, and Southern California. This is more Tex Mex than Sonoran or Baja style. Positive- authentic flavors, and taste, negatives: too spicy in some cases and overpowering so the dominant flavor is of the peppers and sauce, rather than the meat. Small portions and high prices. But it is perhaps the best sit-down Mexican in Casper. A for me on the way down to New Mexico, great place off the fwy in Colorado Springs reminded me that great Mexican food is a mix of flavors, and spiciness and tends to be Sonoran style, not Tex Mex. read more
