They have a bunch of tactical gear. Huge selection. Very clean. Items are easy to find. Also employees were friendly and not pushy.

Went to Grand boulevard after not being helped for over 20 minutes. We were never greeted and stood at the shoe display waiting to try on shoes while we watch employees behind the counter just talking to each other and another group at the fitting room laughing and never offered to help they made eye contact and went on back to talking. Not sure where the manager was but this is not good for business. We ended up at sun set shoes bout 4 pairs of shoes and socks.

The security guard followed my kids around the outlets until I got there and told me Mountain High Outfitters had them on video stealing something and they were going to prosecute. I allowed the security guard to check all receipts and look through all bags. He found no evidence of theft. The security guard escorted me and the kids back to the store at which time I looked at the security footage. My son (mixed race) entered the building and she showed me him exiting the building and looked back at my other son and left. That was what she based her assumption that he had stolen something on. I told her it was because he was black that she was accusatory. She replied, "I knew you would say that". He did not steal from this store and the footage shows that as well as the security guard going through all of our bags. Racist.

Long story short, my mom tried using a card, it kept declining. So she bought a $400 purchase with a different card. When she figured out it was a fraudulent protection thing, she called the bank so that way she can return, then repurchase on the card she wanted to use. During that whole process, the cashiers were giving us looks and were getting inpatient. Then the security comes to check what's going on, and then they all start giggling as the guy is telling him what's going on, not knowing we can see their reactions. And when I say looks, I mean looks as in "they don't belong here" "why are the here". Looks as in they made us feel like we weren't rich enough to buy from here. We explained this was happening because we're not from here. Meaning we're TOURIST. Apparently they don't care, they were still rude and disrespectful. They're lucky my mom was unfazed and didn't see the situation. She didn't see, but her children saw. Will never come here again I'm going to Nike or Columbia.

An older woman with salt-and-pepper hair (around 5 feet tall) followed me around the entire store as if she believed I was going to shoplift. Not discreetly. Not casually. She stayed close, aisle to aisle, watching me the whole time while other customers shopped freely without being trailed. Let me be very clear: I was wearing leggings, a sweatshirt, and a denim jacket. My purse was barely large enough to hold my iPhone, let alone conceal clothing. We were in town for the holidays in Seaside and stopped in because the weather was far colder than expected we genuinely needed warmer gear. There was absolutely no reason for this level of scrutiny. The message was loud and clear: I was being singled out. It was humiliating, unnecessary, and deeply unacceptable. I regret not returning my items on the spot, but like many people in situations like this, I worried about "making a scene." That internal hesitation the pressure to stay quiet while being treated unfairly is exactly what makes this kind of behavior so damaging. This wasn't about loss prevention. It was about poor judgment and profiling, and it created a hostile customer experience. North Face markets itself as an inclusive, values-driven brand. This store did not reflect those values at all! Management needs to address this behavior immediately. No customer should feel surveilled, targeted, or uncomfortable simply for walking into a store to shop. I will think twice before returning and I hope corporate does too.
