Hooked Up Bait and Tackle is a locally owned business in Gulf Shores offering a nice variety of…read moretackle of all kinds and apparel, live shrimp, crabs, minnows, worms and various dead baits for both fresh and saltwater anglers. They've also got lots of poles, rods. reels and accessories like coolers and bait wells plus you can even pick up those cool fishing wagons to roll out onto the pier or the beach. The folks there are always super helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to just the right jigs, baits, hooks, etc. Big shout out to Amrit who always rounds up everything I need, nice!! Bottom line; I can get everything I want for my fishing excursions and they're open 7 days a week at 6am and it's located at 100 E 20th Ave, Gulf Shores right at the bottom of the south side of the Hwy 59 canal bridge, just around the corner so they're my favorite tackle shop!!

Took the boys to shop (they fish, not me) and visited a few shops during the morning. Of the shops…read morethis one smelled like dead fish and was over priced on the items (clothes) I looked at while shopping - I don't fish or trap so no idea on the pricing for the store's main purpose. The employees didn't seem to care we were there or offer to help as other stores did so while this may be local they don't provide that local friendly service.

My granddaughter needed soccer cleats for her first year playing soccer. My son drove all around…read moretrying to find some with zero luck. This particular Dicks was the only location he hadn't tried. Instead of spending my day driving around, I decided to make a phone call. The young lady who answered the phone was friendly and very helpful. She explained to me how children's sizing works. She then put me on hold to go check stock. Unfortunately, they were out of stock but she suggested I look on Amazon. I really appreciated her help. I ordered some online and my granddaughter showed up to her first practice in style. I wish I could remember the nice girls name. Thank you for going above and beyond. The reason for the 3 star review is because they didn't have them in stock and it was soccer season. Besides not having what I needed, the whole experience was fantastic. Excellent customer service is always appreciated.

I went into the Pace location on Saturday, April 26th around 3pm in search of new walking shoes…read more There was a young girl working near the shoes, at a folding table. I asked her where the women's socks were located and she said that all socks were shirts by brand and not gender, then proceeded to tell me they were behind one of the walls. She never directed me to the socks, just that they were behind one of the walls. Ok, I found the socks then went back to look at shoes. I looked at shoes for about 15 minutes and looked for someone to help me get the correct size. No one bothered to come ask if I needed any help. The before mentioned employee was standing right by the shoes and could see that I needed assistance. I walked over to her and asked if there was someone who could help me. Her response was a huge sigh as if I was bothering her. At this point I was aggravated and said, "Nevermind, I'll go somewhere else to buy shoes where I can get some help!" She responded with, "no need for disrespect." I did not continue any back and forth with her, as I continued to walk towards the front door to leave. As my husband walked past her yo leave, she decided that she needed to continue with him and told him, "You need to get your wife!" He did but engage with this young girl and continued to follow me out of the store. I hope this is not how you train your employees to handle customer service. I know I was not pleasant, however, I did not continue any conversation with this girl and there was no need for her to continue with my husband. I will not be recommending Dick's in Pace to any of my sports moms/friends.
