I spent most of 2025 with the amazing team at G-Sports Berkeley, for issues that ranged from pain in my back, leg, and shoulders, to pre-hab and rehab for foot surgery. I highly recommend them for PT and would definitely work with them again (though hopefully I'll be healthy enough that I never have to!). What stood out to me was the level of expertise, professionalism, and kindness I received from everyone I worked with, from the physical therapists and assistants to the front desk staff. Dr. Medina's calm demeanor was a balm for my jangled nerves when I first showed up--and she helped me through many months of recovery after foot surgery. I also had the pleasure of working with Dr. Diehl, who always patiently answered my many questions, cheered me on, and made me feel relaxed with his easy bedside manner and sense of humor. I even got to work with Dr. Gee a few times when he covered for folks who were out, which was fantastic because I got a fresh perspective on my issues. The PT assistants Claire, Kyle, and Amara were super helpful and friendly. And, of course, Nina was the delightful "face" of the business when I came through the door and opened my email, no matter how many schedule changes I needed to make. When we come in as patients, I know it can make us feel vulnerable, maybe even a tiny bit broken (I recall Dr. Diehl replying to that sentiment by saying I was just slightly and temporarily bent, not broken :) ). Despite that feeling, or even because of that, I encourage folks to show up open to the experience. For me, the more I was willing to connect with the good people at G-Sports, the more I got out of it. Thank you for helping me unbend all my bent parts, G-Sports! And good luck with your PT, everyone! :) read more

After a total knee replacement, I've been desperate to regain normal range of motion in that knee. Under Dr. Chris Diehl's care, I've been making good progress. While guiding me through the exercises, he makes sure that I do them in the way that engages the right muscles by gently pointing it out when I miss the mark and by being the best cheerleader when I get it right. I feel encouraged and motivated when I work with him. The other staff members of the clinic are also unfailingly friendly and kind. read more

my one-hour care evaluation was followed up by twice weekly PT treatments with Dr Christopher Diehl. The improvement has been amazing, and I'm really encouraged about longer term recovery of an issue that has been of concern for years. The location is also great--close to downtown Berkeley BART and with pretty available metered parking nearby. The office staff is also really on top of their game, with reminder emails, billing info, etc. I highly recommend GSPORTS read more

I have a major foot injury. I called 20 different clinics but they only had availability 3 months out. Then i contacted G sports and I saw Dr Jellin on the same day. I am receiving virtual care i.e. telehealth. I am toward the end of a 3-month recovery process and throughout the process I have always felt confident in Dr Jellin's guidance. He's very attentive and considers many factors while providing care. read more

I was referred to GSPORTS Physical Therapy for my shoulder and Dr. Nina Luu provided me with amazing and effective care. I was shocked at how effective my physical treatment in-office as well as my at-home exercises worked to not only repair the damage in my shoulder, but make my shoulder stronger than ever. Additionally, the rest of the GSPORTS office crew were always professional, warm, and attentive to my needs! This team is excellent! read more

I found Dr. Jellin in a google search for virtual PT. I can't believe how lucky I've been to work with him, who is an MD of PT and has extensive experience researching my exact injury. Working virtually requires additional skills to in-person PT. Dr. Jellin is an excellent listener. He is also in tune to when he feels I don't understand 100% something he's suggesting (which he's been correct each time he asks me for clarification). Our sessions have progressed me quickly to meet physical goal. He knows when to back off exercises and when to push forward. His office staff are thoughtful and professional getting me onboarded and scheduling/rescheduling appointments. I've had a very positive experience with this PT group and would come back and have already recommended to friends. read more

I've only had three sessions so far with Patrick Gee, and I'm already feeling better! It's a small space with a warm, positive, calm atmosphere, and Dr. Gee is highly skilled & up-to-date & friendly. read more

I came to GSPORTS with lower back pain and have received such amazing care from Dr. Jellin. I was curious how virtual PT would work but it's been a great experience for me. I am seeing and feeling improvements with my tailored program and am very happy with the progress. read more

The referral process was easy. Automated appointment reminders, and I can always reach a person over the phone. Metered parking was plentiful in the mornings. I worked with Dr. Chris Diehl at their downtown Berkeley center. He was knowledgeable and personable. Most importantly, he understood that recovery is an emotional and physical process. It's hard to put into words, but his understanding of the body (inside and out) and expert guidance broke down a few barriers. Over the weeks, I built confidence as fears subsided. I'm 110% happy about the entire process and I'm back to the gym some new and modified exercises that will keep me strong. read more

I have been really pleased with the personalized care that I have been getting from Chris Diehl. He took the time to hear about all of my concerns and promptly came up with a succinct and, thus far, successful intervention. I have never been to GSports before and realize that I have been missing out by going to another local PT where I and my issues were treated with a one size fits all approach that was not at all successful. Way to go Chris! read more

Antonio Fields did an amazing job helping me rehabilitate my neck with techniques and exercises. I had issues with my neck for several years, but I saw huge improvement in pain level in a very short time. The entire office staff is very nice and welcoming. I recommend seeing the specialist here whether you have a sports related injury or something caused by using your computer and phone too long for work. read more

With abundant appreciation, it has been my great good fortune to have been a patient of Anthony's. When I first came to G Sport, I had been experiencing excruciating pain in the arch of the foot. Here's what's really important: Anthony is present, he's welcoming, he knows how to read the body, scientifically and in action, he is a sensitive professional and knows how to introduce new possibilities of/in/for the body to heal and function properly. This is what it's like with all of the Doctors of Physical Therapy at G Sport. Anthony brought my awareness to places in the body I would have never imagined I was unaware of and as a result I have better balance, the pain in the foot has subsided and I have more freedom in walking than I did prior to meeting Anthony at G Sport. Whomever has the opportunity to work with Anthony, or any of the Doctor's of Physical Therapy at G Sport, is in the hands of a master(s). With great love and respect, read more

I am 78 with arthritis in my neck. I was turning into a stooped over, old man. My GP referred me to GSPORTS. I was skeptical and had low expectations of any positive results. Dr. Nina Luu has provided a combination of manual body work and home exercises which have delivered remarkably excellent results. Effective therapy, far beyond what I thought possible. My posture has improved. Walking is easier. I feel better. Best PT and Pt environment that I have ever experienced. I will enthusiastically use them in the future for my other issues. read more

Dr Medina was wonderful! I suffered from Sciatic Nerve pain and worked with Dr Medina twice a week for a month. I left without pain and much stronger. The office staff and clinical staff are warm and friendly. I highly recommend GSPORTS. read more

My physical therapy experience with this office has been fantastic. I was able to get an evaluation sooner than at other offices, in part because of the extraordinarily responsive and helpful office staff. Dr. Fields has been great at helping me to stop aggravating my injury and then to begin building strength instead. The therapists who I work with on each visit are the friendliest people you meet on top of being very knowledgeable. I can't recommend this PT highly enough. read more

I have been receiving the highest quality of care for my injuries at Gsports. The whole office staff is a pleasure to interact with and the space is open and vibrant. This is a great place to promote healing and well being. Patrick is a highly gifted PT and does excellent soft tissue work. Being a musician, I need my body to function fully for my work and I'm so grateful this place is available to me (and takes my insurance!). read more

I highly recommend GSports Physical Therapy and Dr. Justin Jellin. I am 71 years old and very active. I learned of the degenerative disease in my cervical vertebrae and looked for physical therapy to strengthen the muscles supporting my spine. I called a different PT office, got voicemail every time and they never called me back. When I called GSports PT a kind person picked up the call and immediately gave me a convenient appointment. My PT has been given over Zoom meetings ( which I didn't at first believe it could be done well) and the personalized, knowledgeable and professional care has impressed me. Dr.Jellin read my spinal MRI and used screen sharing to show me the specific areas of my spine that need our attention. He answered my questions and assigned exercises along with a daily tracker to remind me to find time to accomplish them. The Zoom meeting does allow the doctor to see the form that I was using and to make comments on how to improve my form. So, thus far, I actually could not be happier with choosing GSports Physical Therapy. read more

Patrick and his team are very well skilled at fitting your physical therapy needs from the initial assessment to the weekly sessions by adding key treatments and improvement exercises to target your specific areas that need addressing. The staff are kind, diversified, skilled and make each visit continue to help improve a patient's condition. I would highly recommend this clinic for your next physical therapy sessions. read more

GSPORTS' knowledgeable and caring staff provide an exceptional level of patient care. Multiple fractures in 2018 required nearly one year to return me to full functionality and strength, and GSPORTS was crucial to my success. My neighbor (a kinesiologist) referred me to GSports after assessing an issue I was having with my shoulder. It complicated but, the main symptom I was trying to fix was my shoulder popping out and freezing up in painful positions. i only had 2 months before a big trip that this wouldve impacted a lot. Anthony at GSports was great! He really listened to my history and the went to work on that area with some fascia-busting deep tissue massage followed by exercises to strengthen the shoulder. He layered more exercises in over our time together until i built up yo about a 40 minute routine. Now I'm about to go on that trip and things are SO MUCH BETTER. Also everyone at GSports is super nice and helpful, from Marla at the front desk to The PT assistants Clare and Kyle. GSports was not in my network so I used my FSA card until it ran out snd then i happily paid out of pocket since i was getting such good results. read more

For professionalism integrity and competence I highly recommend GSPORTS. For both hands-on and directed PT exercises ì recommend GSPORTS. The staff and therapists make for a unique and friendly atmosphere read more

I went to GSports physical therapy after a fall on my tuchus on the tennis court. A friend referred me to Patrick because she said he is smart and caring. When I began, I was in tremendous pain. The beginning was slow going because he didn't want me to do exercises that aggravated my injured nerves. He carefully supervised the exercises I was doing and carefully worked on my body. I saw someone 'graduate' and get celebrated after they recovered. I thought that will never happen for me. but after a couple months I really began improving and got my tee shirt too. Patrick always treated me as an athlete who wanted to return to my sport, not as an elderly person who needs to accept diminished ability. Someone else had treated me this way. Patrick had high goals for me which I was able to meet! Patrick is kind and low key. the whole place is warm and friendly. read more

I go to the Berkeley facility on Bancroft Ave. The care (physical therapy) I am receiving is top notch. Dr Batoon is professional, very good at what he does and funny... makes the sessions go by faster! The facility is bright and clean. The people at the front desk are efficient and polite. The other staff are friendly and polite as well. The equipment in the treatment areas are sanitized after each person. read more

Extremely happy with the therapy I have received from GSPORTS and Anthony. I've been doing PT on and off for numerous issues for decades, and who knew I was never walking correctly? Anthony did! GSPORTS are the best in the West! From welcoming front desk staff, to conscientious pt aides, to veteran physical therapists, every member of the GSPORTS team is nothing short of excellent to work with. I have been struggling with chronic pain for more than a year now and it wasn't until I found Gsports that I started making real progress. Antonio Fields is truly excellent--he is caring and extremely thorough in his work. I still have a way to go but I know I'm in great hands at GSPORTS. read more

Latestan update: Patrick stepped into the issue 1-2 days into the review and promised to resolve the payment as "in-network". I am glad that this has finally ended in as agreement. Last update: After 1-2 months into the therapy, I discovered that the clinic was out-of-network instead of the **promised** in-network (I even called in to double-check before making the appointment). I communicated with the admin Jacquelyn for months but all she said was they were still trying to resolve this with my insurer. Meanwhile, I was sent with bills of ~$1000 for the mistake they made and received calls from subrogation. The whole administrative experience was a disaster. As much as the hospitality and the quality of care given by the PT staff, I am very disappointed to drag on for so long without anyone stepping into the issue. read more

I've recently started playing tennis after a long time away post shoulder injuries and rehab. I began to have shoulder soreness that didn't seem to get better over time. So after a visit with my orthopedic doctor - to make sure tennis was still an option for me, PT was recommended. Living in Berkeley, G-SPORTS downtown is very convenient, but it was a 6 week wait to get an evaluation appointment. Fortunately, there was an opening in the FIDI office where I was able to book with Dr. Daniela Norwood. Daniela was very thorough and attentive. She performed some manual work to confirm where I was restricted and after reviewing the information from my referring orthopedic doctor recommended exercises that targeted work on the weak muscles that needed retraining. The exercises were reasonable to perform daily and I could tell that the shoulder movement was getting stronger in the way that was needed. My follow up appointments have been at the Berkeley location which I was able to schedule right away to continue my rehab journey. I am working with Dr. Derric Lee and team and he (as a tennis player himself) has added a few exercises to really target the ergonomics of where my tennis swing needs attention. Both Daniela and Derric are very nice, professional and extremely knowledgeable. They are able to explain in simple language what the goals are for the work prescribed and give realistic exercises as homework. I highly recommend this group for rehabilitation needs. I also have to give a shout out to Jacquie in the Berkeley office for helping me with my insurance questions and getting me on the schedule with great efficiency. read more

Physical therapy at GSPORTS is very professional, effective, and highly recommended if you have a problem that needs treatment.

After injuring myself (runners knee), I was initially was hesitant to book an appointment with GSPORTS and was hoping to find a well-reviewed office that had in-person appointments. After a while, it became clear to me that any good therapist would be extremely busy, so I decided to give a virtual appointment a shot. I am very glad I did! Even before my appointments started, I was floored by the hospitality of Jacquie and how much information she was able to share with me about how GSPORTS does business. Her knowledge of healthcare was immensely helpful and helped me understand what I was getting into. When I started my sessions with Dr. Jellin, who specializes in running injuries, he very quickly diagnosed me with runners knee and gave me exercises to do. Dr. Jellin was very attentive and thorough with every appointment, giving me the what, why, and how for my injury and each treatment. I also tend to ask a LOT of questions, even if they are slightly off topic (like should I be walking in the same shoes I run in...), but he is very patient and takes his time to fully answer everything. Within my first week of treatment, I started seeing improvements with my symptoms and very clear reduction in knee pain. And after a few months, I'm nearly fully recovered! I am ecstatic about my outcome and am very grateful to Dr. Jellin. He and GSPORTS have my wholehearted and highest recommendation! I was also pleasantly surprised about the quality of the virtual appointments. Even though Dr. Jellin was restricted to a webcam view of me, he was able to effectively diagnose and prescribe treatments that I found super effective. I would not hesitate to try a virtual appointment with GSPORTS should I need more help in the future! read more

I'm a former Gsports pt. It has been an amazing experience. I got to personally engage with Dr. Gee, Dr. Tony, Claire, Zach, and the front desk staff. I was very happy with the care I received from Antonio Fields, PT, after my knee replacement surgery. He was very attentive and set up a program of exercises to do at the center and at home. Obviously seeking PT treatment is like selecting a new physician and can seem daunting. Also since I had been a health care provider for many years my standards are quite high. I was pleased to find a PT service that offered both in person and virtual. Since I have a regular exercise routine I decided to try out virtual in the same setting where I exercise at home. After 46 years of running I had developed some discomfort with my right knee. An excellent Sports Medicine had suggested PT to promote knee health. I still did not understand what had caused the problem and what might remedy the affliction until I started seeing Dr. Jellis. Dr. Jellis was able to explain to me that the positions of my knees had most likely caused my problem and that the supporting muscles over many years (aging) had become weaker. His explanation helped me to understand the exercises he recommended and how important that are to my healing process. Good communication with a practitioner to me is so essential to a positive outcome. Dr. Jellis is the BEST communicator. He is friendly, clear, knowledgable, patient, supportive, and even offers inspiration! He listens well and patiently answers all my ongoing questions. We have been working together for a couple of weeks and surprisingly I am really looking forward to "doing this work" with him and feel confident this is the right pathway. If you are looking for an excellent physical therapist I highly recommend Dr. Jellis! read more

Jacquie, Kyle, and Dr. Gee are wonderful. I am glad to have been referred to this office.

Antonio and the Gsports team have provided a useful program of exercises to improve the condition of my shoulders. They challenge me to continue to improve my form as I execute the exercises. The body work is precise and goes right to the limit of what I can tolerate (in a good way) and it's allowed me to make progress. Antonio and staff have a pleasant energy and are a delight to see early in the morning when I have my sessions. read more
