I spent most of 2025 with the amazing team at G-Sports Berkeley, for issues that ranged from pain in my back, leg, and shoulders, to pre-hab and rehab for foot surgery. I highly recommend them for PT and would definitely work with them again (though hopefully I'll be healthy enough that I never have to!). What stood out to me was the level of expertise, professionalism, and kindness I received from everyone I worked with, from the physical therapists and assistants to the front desk staff. After a total knee replacement, I've been desperate to regain normal range of motion in that knee. Under Dr. Chris Diehl's care, I've been making good progress. While guiding me through the exercises, he makes sure that I do them in the way that engages the right muscles by gently pointing it out when I miss the mark and by being the best cheerleader when I get it right. I found Dr. Jellin in a google search for virtual PT. I can't believe how lucky I've been to work with him, who is an MD of PT and has extensive experience researching my exact injury. I highly recommend GSports Physical Therapy and Dr. Justin Jellin. I am 71 years old and very active. I learned of the degenerative disease in my cervical vertebrae and looked for physical therapy to strengthen the muscles supporting my spine. I called a different PT office, got voicemail every time and they never called me back. My neighbor (a kinesiologist) referred me to GSports after assessing an issue I was having with my shoulder. It complicated but, the main symptom I was trying to fix was my shoulder popping out and freezing up in painful positions. i only had 2 months before a big trip that this wouldve impacted a lot. Anthony at GSports was great! He really listened to my history and the went to work on that area with some fascia-busting deep tissue massage followed by exercises to strengthen the shoulder. He layered more exercises in over our time together until i built up yo about a 40 minute routine. Now I'm about to go on that trip and things are SO MUCH BETTER. I went to GSports physical therapy after a fall on my tuchus on the tennis court. A friend referred me to Patrick because she said he is smart and caring. When I began, I was in tremendous pain. The beginning was slow going because he didn't want me to do exercises that aggravated my injured nerves. He carefully supervised the exercises I was doing and carefully worked on my body. I saw someone 'graduate' and get celebrated after they recovered. I thought that will never happen for me. but after a couple months I really began improving and got my tee shirt too. Patrick always treated me as an athlete who wanted to return to my sport, not as an elderly person who needs to accept diminished ability. Someone else had treated me this way. Latestan update: Patrick stepped into the issue 1-2 days into the review and promised to resolve the payment as "in-network". I am glad that this has finally ended in as agreement. Last update: After 1-2 months into the therapy, I discovered that the clinic was out-of-network instead of the **promised** in-network (I even called in to double-check before making the appointment). I communicated with the admin Jacquelyn for months but all she said was they were still trying to resolve this with my insurer. Meanwhile, I was sent with bills of ~$1000 for the mistake they made and received calls from subrogation. The whole administrative experience was a disaster. As much as the hospitality and the quality of care given by the PT staff, I am very disappointed to drag on for so long without anyone stepping into the issue. read more

I've recently started playing tennis after a long time away post shoulder injuries and rehab. I began to have shoulder soreness that didn't seem to get better over time. So after a visit with my orthopedic doctor - to make sure tennis was still an option for me, PT was recommended. Living in Berkeley, G-SPORTS downtown is very convenient, but it was a 6 week wait to get an evaluation appointment. Fortunately, there was an opening in the FIDI office where I was able to book with Dr. Daniela Norwood. Daniela was very thorough and attentive. She performed some manual work to confirm where I was restricted and after reviewing the information from my referring orthopedic doctor recommended exercises that targeted work on the weak muscles that needed retraining. The exercises were reasonable to perform daily and I could tell that the shoulder movement was getting stronger in the way that was needed. My follow up appointments have been at the Berkeley location which I was able to schedule right away to continue my rehab journey. I am working with Dr. Derric Lee and team and he (as a tennis player himself) has added a few exercises to really target the ergonomics of where my tennis swing needs attention. Both Daniela and Derric are very nice, professional and extremely knowledgeable. They are able to explain in simple language what the goals are for the work prescribed and give realistic exercises as homework. I highly recommend this group for rehabilitation needs. After injuring myself (runners knee), I was initially was hesitant to book an appointment with GSPORTS and was hoping to find a well-reviewed office that had in-person appointments. After a while, it became clear to me that any good therapist would be extremely busy, so I decided to give a virtual appointment a shot. I am very glad I did! Even before my appointments started, I was floored by the hospitality of Jacquie and how much information she was able to share with me about how GSPORTS does business. Her knowledge of healthcare was immensely helpful and helped me understand what I was getting into. When I started my sessions with Dr. Jellin, who specializes in running injuries, he very quickly diagnosed me with runners knee and gave me exercises to do. Dr. Jellin was very attentive and thorough with every appointment, giving me the what, why, and how for my injury and each treatment. I also tend to ask a LOT of questions, even if they are slightly off topic (like should I be walking in the same shoes I run in...), but he is very patient and takes his time to fully answer everything. Within my first week of treatment, I started seeing improvements with my symptoms and very clear reduction in knee pain. And after a few months, I'm nearly fully recovered! I am ecstatic about my outcome and am very grateful to Dr. Jellin. He and GSPORTS have my wholehearted and highest recommendation! I was also pleasantly surprised about the quality of the virtual appointments. Obviously seeking PT treatment is like selecting a new physician and can seem daunting. Also since I had been a health care provider for many years my standards are quite high. I was pleased to find a PT service that offered both in person and virtual. Since I have a regular exercise routine I decided to try out virtual in the same setting where I exercise at home. After 46 years of running I had developed some discomfort with my right knee. An excellent Sports Medicine had suggested PT to promote knee health. I still did not understand what had caused the problem and what might remedy the affliction until I started seeing Dr. Jellis. Dr. Jellis was able to explain to me that the positions of my knees had most likely caused my problem and that the supporting muscles over many years (aging) had become weaker. His explanation helped me to understand the exercises he recommended and how important that are to my healing process. Good communication with a practitioner to me is so essential to a positive outcome. Dr. Jellis is the BEST communicator. He is friendly, clear, knowledgable, patient, supportive, and even offers inspiration! He listens well and patiently answers all my ongoing questions. We have been working together for a couple of weeks and surprisingly I am really looking forward to "doing this work" with him and feel confident this is the right pathway.
