What really set Chris apart was how involved he was before the work even began--and all the way through the project. He offered great design and layout suggestions we honestly wouldn't have thought of on our own, from flooring choices to lighting to small details that made a big difference. He also helped design the space so it functions like three different rooms while still feeling like one connected, open area, which completely changed how we use it. His team was on time, professional, and incredibly respectful. They put down protective matting as they went in and out of the basement, swept the floors daily, cleaned up debris as they worked, and treated our home with real care. They even took their shoes off before coming inside. It genuinely felt like they were remodeling their own home, not just doing a job. The crew truly felt like family, and the before-and-after transformation of our basement is incredible. There were also a lot of thoughtful touches that really stood out. On days when we weren't home, Chris and his team would bring our garbage cans up near the house on collection day, which was completely unexpected and very appreciated. Even after the basement was finished, they helped move furniture and larger items downstairs, which felt truly above and beyond. Our dog even loved them--and he's a pretty good judge of character. Throughout the entire process, they were consistently kind, considerate, and easy to have around. One highlight that still amazes me: Chris and his team stained the basement stairs to perfectly match our first-floor stairs. I honestly didn't think it could be done, but they took their time and absolutely nailed it. The drywall and framing work were done beautifully, and what really stood out was that Chris came back later to check on everything and make small touch-ups, just to be sure the work held up. That level of pride and follow-through is rare. They painted the ceiling black and were meticulous--no missed spots, no shortcuts. Everything was done with care. We agreed on a timeline, and they started when they said they would, finished on time, and left the space spotless when the job was done. To make things even easier, we simply picked out samples from Home Depot, and Chris and his team handled all the materials. The entire process was smooth and stress-free. All we had to do was make one call, do a little planning, and enjoy our new basement one to two weeks later. And honestly, our basement is now one of our favorite parts of the house. It's peaceful, quiet, and truly enjoyable. What we expected to be just a more functional space turned into a place we actually love spending time in. The whole experience felt exciting--almost like Christmas morning--watching it come together. The results completely exceeded our expectations. We had decided to use Sanitec to clean our home windows because of a promotion they were running…read more The promotion was for anywhere from 19 to 26 windows for $100. After going through the house and counting up the total number of windows I had 23 windows, which fell within their promotion range. The second tier of their promotion was anything from 35 to 50 windows would be $150. In all of their ad copy for the promotion it stated "windows" and if you were to go to Home Depot today and purchase a "window" I'm sure that you would expect to get a full "window" that would most likely match what would be in your imagination when you think of what a window looks like. The problem I have is that the promotion is a BAIT and SWITCH scam in the way that when they showed up and they counted my windows they came up with a total of 51 windows! That is because they calculate a window by the total number of panes in that window. So your standard window, which has a top pane and a bottom pane counts as two windows. All of a sudden the price became quite more expensive. I now fell into the second tier of 35 to 50 windows for $150 and on top of that because I had that one extra window they tried to charge me an additional $25 per window (pane) after the 50 windows have been reached. With a bit of an argument back-and-forth they comped me my one extra window so that was no charge. But to go from $3 dollars per window cleaning to $25 seems a bit much. The only reason why this review is 2 stars and not 1 is because they actually did a good job and my windows are extremely clean now but be warned that what they consider to be a "window" is not what the rest of the world and society considers to be a "window".

A number of places never brothered responding, and a couple actually set up appointments and then didn't show up. After hunting around for more places to call that were decently rated, I came across Holda Construction and I am so glad that I did. They called me back promptly to discuss and asked me to send pictures. After I sent photos, they got in touch and set up a time to come out for a quote within an hour, for the next day. Mariusz came out the next day, as promised (he even called to see if he could come a little earlier than scheduled) and assessed the situation. He explained the options and what his recommendation was- but there was no pressure to agree to the work on the spot- he just asked that I call and let him know if I wanted to move forward, His quote was extremely fair and better yet, he was able to start the work within the week. When I had questions on the contract he sent over, he immediately called to talk through them, and sent an updated quote the same day. The work took two days- the guys took care of everything, including a very thorough clean up- no debris to be found! And our new garage roof and gutters look great- and we now know that they have been properly installed, so we shouldn't have a repeat of the same issues we had experienced before.
