The staff and owner were super friendly and helpful with any questions. We got the lay out of the shop once we got there so it was easy to navigate their many sections. It's a pretty big record shop with lots of good options and great prices. They have vinyl, CDs, merch, patches and other goodies. I bought a record and really enjoyed my time there. They even had a sweet and friendly pup. Would definitely come back when I visit Melbourne again!

Used CDs are in ABC order, there's a section for 45s, dollar bins, DVDs and VHS, and both a playable Nintendo Entertainment System and a SEGA Genesis! It was fun to peruse through the countless merch. The music playing over the shop's sound system was EXCELLENT. Made me want to take my time just so I could listen to whatever was playing at the time. This is one of the cleanest, finest record shops I've been in to, and I can't wait to go back.

The vintage clothing section is small, and some of it is legit vintage. They have some local photos and t-shirts and suchlike. It's not Balsa Bills, by any means, but if you collect that stuff, have a look. I will not buy vinyl here because they are trashing their own stock. They store hundreds of LP's in flimsy cardboard boxes piled atop one another under the racks, and the covers get bent, flaky and dog eared. If you lack the initiative to make wooden LP crates for your under stock, you are not really interested. There is usually one person hanging out behind the counter, but they're not what you'd call interested. The prices are high for the condition but if you don't mind trashed covers I heard you can sometimes find a playable record for a couple of bucks.

I'm extremely disappointed as I've been consciously trying to buy from brick and mortar stores, even if it's a little more expensive, to try and help businesses. Was in there today trying to find a specific book but the 3 women at the checkout area were too busy sharing their personal life stories. Music store / Albums…read more Early for our dinner reservations, we were walking the little strip mall the restaurant was in and came across Sounds Good Music. It took us a few moments of window browsing to realize that this was an old-school seller of vinyl records, so we sent in to take a look. To say it was like a walk down memory lane is an understatement. The place is reminiscent of the old records stores you remember from the past with bins lining the walls and aisles full of albums sorted by artist. Music memorabilia adorn the walls and every genre was represented - certainly a great way to kill an hour just remembering when you last held this, or that, album. Prices were surprisingly affordable, in my opinion. The only downside I have is that I no longer have a record player available. Definitely a place for you if you are, or know, an audiophile. When I walk in, I feel like I did when I was teenager in high school as I use to frequent a vinyl store similar to this one in Miami Beach. It's really just everything about it, the music, the dry humor in a lot of the items they sell, all of it. I'm a huge Bowie fan and they have his pretty face plastered on so many things. It always makes me smile when I see all the merchandise too. They do fun mystery bags. They have one for CD's, stickers, and DVDs. I have no idea what kind of DVD or CD's they'd include so I went ahead and bought one for stickers and was very pleasantly surprised at the variety and already added some of them to my computer and water thermos.
