The latter of the three is usually the one most gamers will go to since they exclusively stick to the video game industry with what they sell. This includes consoles, accessories, and even paraphernalia and attire of a video game preference. The one I usually go to these days is located on Wickham Road right in front of Walmart. Overall, it is a good branch. Upon entering, you will be treated the stereotypical view of what a Gamestop has to offer which is what I covered in the aforementioned paragraph: video games, consoles, accessories, and paraphernalia of a video game nature. As per business standards, most of the newer games will be catered towards majority preference of Americans, ergo Xbox One and Playstation 4 titles primarily shooters and sports games. Though JRPGs and handhelds have their niche, they aren't really supported. Just like other Gamestop locations, they also have a trade-in program and the like. Something that is worth it if you want to play newer games without having to pay the full price. Besides all the typical details of any Gamestop, the only benefits I can see with this location over others is the fact they know me so well so they are constantly asking me if I am interested in any upcoming JRPG titles or Playstation Vita titles. Also, it is clean and the employees have good hygiene which actually goes a long way. There is one Gamestop employee at the Melbourne Mall location who smells extremely disgusting. That reason alone is why I avoid it at all costs. Also, if you want someone to make sure to take care of you when you go in for your games, I suggest Anthony. He'll even have a conversation with you too if you like.

Whenever the one guy isn't there, I've run into very unhelpful, antisocial young guys who don't want to help or talk to me. It's really gone downhill since the first time I went there a couple of years ago. At this point, I only support them because they're the only gaming shop in town. However, the selection is incredibly limited beyond Warhammer and Magic items, and the figure collection is ok, but geared towards really popular items. They've got a huge variety of new and preowned classic video games as well as the latest video games such as the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and whatnot. Everyone makes you feel valued as a customer and they even hooked me up with a free Vita 2 SD Card adapter after I bought my Sony PlayStation Vita power adapter. I didn't even ask for it! Whenever I need to do my laundry at the next door laundromat/dry cleaners/real estate agency I pop in here to see what's new and indulge my nostalgic video game needs. But upon arrival, I can tell that it was a pretty laid-back please. The desk clerk was very knowledgeable about the games and their history, as well as some nostalgic items that were available. They also have lots of Funko pops if you're into that type of thing. I even like the way they use the ticket gun to price various items in the store. It reminded me of the old school candy store with the little stickers label posted on it. The items look well cared for and wrapped very thoroughly and methodically. I believe lots of the items are fairly priced and not overwhelmingly expensive. I was most impressed with the miniature video game console that sat at the front counter that pre-dated the Atari. What surprise me most about this location is that they had a actual arcade in the back with various games from the 80s like contra, galaxa, pong, Qbert, dig, dug, streetfighter, or Pac-Man, and they even had a racing game. Even though it was not a very, very large arcade, It really did bring back quite a bit of memories.

Both are GREAT establishments and mutually support each other. Their mutual success meant they outgrew their previous shared space. Both are deserving of your business.
