I've actually seen him put customers books back on the wall that they were willing to buy at the register. Brian is genuinely one of the most unpleasant people I've dealt with in a customer-facing environment. He constantly forces his opinions on customers, becomes confrontational when people disagree with him, and creates unnecessary drama over things that should never be an issue. Even worse, I've personally heard him make weird and inappropriate sexual comments about female customers when he apparently thought nobody was listening. It's disgusting and completely unacceptable in a workplace. Heard him call a star wars comic reader "STAR BABY". And talks about women that walk in to the store as his "Girlfriend" and he genuinely believes it in his mid. Surprise this place hasn't had a lawsuit against it yet, because his co-workers say that he does this all the time with women. He's a liability. I've also witnessed problems involving customers' books, arguments, and Brian throwing coworkers under the bus instead of taking responsibility. From the interactions I've witnessed, the frustration with his behavior clearly isn't limited to customers. A comic shop should be welcoming and fun, not somewhere you have to brace yourself for one employee's attitude, unsolicited opinions, and inappropriate comments. At some point, when the same person is repeatedly at the center of problems, the common denominator becomes obvious. NOOOO idea how they hired this weirdo back. He makes customers uncomfortable all the time. Also he gives free books away to people all the time when he thinks the camera isn't watching. He only rings up the big spending customers to tell his bosses how much he makes, even though other coworkers did all the work. Pathetic man ruining the nerd culture in Kissimmee. Highlights included the giant Gremlins and Pokémon vending machine, though sadly it was out of order, it was still fun to see! We also noticed a neat speakeasy out back that we definitely want to check out next time. Overall, this is a great spot for any nerd, collector, or cosplayer. We went for last Friday nights auction. We go to a lot of auctions in Central Florida but this was…read moreour first time to visit Fred's Auction. We came off the auction zip website listing looking to get a few antique pieces for our 1930s home. It's a little out of the way in St Cloud but our GPS found it no problem. Ample parking we arrived about 30 min early to preview everything. Took notice of a food truck upon pulling in for there patrons, standard faire of burgers, fries and the like. The building itself is a large warehouse and it is air conditioned just be sure you close the door all the way when entering. The place was packed to the rafters with stuff. There is a large area in the middle with what looked like most of the items from the ad. And a huge assortment completely following the perimeter. We went to the back to sign up and get our number. Only needed to fill out a quick registration card. There was a lot of nice stuff by the back office going towards the wall but we're told it's just the items from the middle of the building to the front were to be auctioned so this was a little confusing. Armed with our number we sought out the items we came for and found the near the front, an antique jelly cupboard, mission desk and another office glassed in case/cupboard. Had a hard time getting to the desk as everything as so tightly packed in but fell in love with the cupboard. Took a couple seats on the aisle and waited for the auction to start. By 7pm I would say it was about seventy five percent full, not overcrowded but full. Standard auction start with the rules and everything, 10 percent buyers premium. Auction started and the auctioneer is quite high so he can see everyone easily, had a lot of staff helping and they move quite quickly which was a relief with as much as they were auctioning off. Seemed to run quite smooth. Out first item came up the office case and it went up to $50 before I joined in the bidding but bowed out at a $100 as I didn't love it as much as the jelly cupboard. The desk followed and I noticed a couple who really wanted it, we bid against each other to $100 and I stopped in part because I didn't get a great look at it, and in part because the wife really wanted it. Finally the jelly cupboard came up and we snagged it for only $80 which was a steal, and I was ready to go to the mattresses for it. Since that's all we came for we proceeded to the back and paid the cashier, and asked if we could come back another day to pick it up. She told us Saturday 9-12, or Monday 9-5 or Tuesday 9-5. Absolutely must be picked up by Tuesday or it would be forfeit and auctioned off the following week. Which is pretty normal. We came back today, Tuesday and picked it up no problem and it now sits proudly in my house, and I will enjoy it for years to come Great overall auction experience, however if anything could be offered for criticism it would be to declutter the warehouse so it's clear what's going to be for sale and make everything easily accessible for the preview.
