the burger was honestly not good at all, no seasoning, no flavor except the tomato in it. The fries were soggy and not salt at ALL and 5 small pieces of cheese on the so called "cheese fries". The lady who took my order named Kellie was very rude towards me, I mentioned I had never been there so I wasn't sure how to order or what's on the menu she just walked away and came back with a menu I had my hands out to get it and she proceeded to slide it on the counter? like my hand wasn't just reaching out for it. Not sure if it's cause I don't look like the usual customer but she had a little attitude when taking my order. She didn't offer no sauce didn't mention that fries come with the burger or could be changed to cheese fries and gave a attitude when i asked to change them . She then went to take another persons order and was acting like the sweetest person ever which is what really got to me cause i tipped her and everything. GRUBS is a small local diner with about 6 or so barstools. The girl at the counter who took our order was very friendly. We ordered (to-go) the Shamrock burgers and fries, as we heard this was to be good. Boy was it. Burger: Two , not from frozen, beef patties with lettuce, tomato, onions and picked. Fries: hand cut, not frozen l, fries were very good. My husband and I were very pleased. We would definitely go again. Only thing people need to consider is that GRUBS is not open on weekends and not late at night so definitely make plans to go during the week before 8pm. read more

It was pretty good. I was really hungry. So it was nice that they offered just a patty. We stopped on the bike after a ride. My husband got a BLT he said it was good. He didn't like the fries though. Looked at the online menu and noticed that we could order online. We did, with no problem. Paid for, gave a pre-tip, and got the message the order would be ready in 20 minutes. Arrived at the location in 21 minutes. It took 10 minutes for the only waitress to acknowledge my presence (although she had seen me walk through the door). She had been talking to her friends and had the attitude that she couldn't be bothered to do anything else. Told her I had an order to go and gave her my name. I had to repeat my name 3 times before she got it right. She looked at the iPad and said she would go check on it. A few minutes later the cook came out to talk to other patrons and stated that if you put in an online order, the only way they would know is if they checked their iPad. Obviously nobody had checked the iPad for at least 30 minutes. So even though they got my order, they didn't know they had gotten my order, until the waitress checked it when I told her I had an order to go. The nice thing would have been to say that you didn't get the order, therefore I would have the chance to say nevermind and just give me a refund. Fifty minutes after I placed my order I finally got my food. The whole time I was waiting, the waitress just kept talking to her friends. The food was great! You, and exactly 12 of your best friends can enjoy the burger deliciousness that IS Grub's Drive In. The place is small, quaint, and has exactly 13 stools at the one counter the building holds to sit with your pals and order the best burgers this town has to offer. The burgers have witty little names and the specials are borderline mastermind but they all boil down to "what kind of deliciousness do you want on your burger?" I suggest the bacon. In fact, if it was possible to just forego the entire burger and just eat large amounts of their bacon, you should do so until your heart explodes. The fries are hand cut marvels and just kick ass. They really are good and you can get good ol' fashioned "fry sauce" if you can't stand the taste of plain, awesome taters. Rumor has it they serve a mean breakfast as well. Based on the bacon, I might have to give it a try. Come on a weekday as these folks take the weekend off, and be prepared to sit next to someone you don't know. If you have social issues, order it to go and enjoy it in your car. read more

We were in town in 2018 and 2019 for the National High School Rodeo and stayed across the street from Grub's. Ate breakfast there everyday and at least one other meal and snacks. Burgers were delicious! We loved the horseshoe counter and 50's diner atmosphere. Grubs came up with the Shamrock Shake in the late 40's early 50's. That was a daily must have! You can bet if we are ever in the area again, we'll be frequenting Grub's Drive In. read more

The fry well let's just say it might be good to the locals cause that's all they have around here but I would not get back unless I'm starving. Sorry but I like good and amazing food. All I have to say is Shamrock-Fries-a bowl of gravy-and a vanilla malt!! This place is so freaking good. I know that I consumed about 2000 cals in one setting but it was well worth it. The burger is called the Shamrock, and it is huge and the fries are fresh peeled potatoes. They serve the fries with a side of brown gravy and it was a heart attack waiting to happen. You gotta love the little counter that only seats about 12 people at a time and it is well worth the wait if there is not a seat open. Yum yum!! read more

You have to order the Shamrock with the "deluxe" option; this means you get tomato and lettuce. This place has great ambiance, you might be sitting next to a banker on one side and an oilfield worker on the other, and everyone knows each other, even if they don't! Been eating at grubs since the sixties. The last two shamrocks I've ordered in the last couple of months have been raw! Ate around the edges because I was starved but it got gross. Tried them again, same thing, about hurled when I saw how raw it was. Lady offered to remake it but not a fan of returning food. Gave her a ten spot for the ONE fry I ate and she took it and said thank you. NICE customer satisfaction. Sure miss Marlene and the original Grub family. Be careful don't get your family sick! I think all pass from now on and reminisce about the good olé days. They don't make them like they used do. read more

Came here based on the excellent reviews about how great the burgers are. I left quite disappointed. First off, it is a cool little place. Bar type setup in a semi circle with 12 high top chairs around it. That's it. No other seating. Very neat IMO. Service was just fine. You can get real, old style, milkshakes. I ordered the cheeseburger. When I got it, was on a good sized bun and could see no meat. Opened it up and the patty is the size of the $.99 burger at McDonalds...possible even smaller. I am serious when I say MAYBE a 2 ounce patty. My first mistake was that I did not order the 'Shamrock' burger which is apparently 2 of these tiny patties, mine was only 1 (The menu does not say 1 or 2 patties on it). But even 2 of them is pretty anemic. When I go to a local burger place, I am thinking 1/3-1/2lb patty...or AT LEAST a 1/4lb. Nope. And taste wise was nothing special either. The fries do seem home made and are decent. All in all, quite disappointing. I could have gone to McD's and had a similar burger. read more

We were passing through Rock Springs on a road trip and a local suggested Grub's. What a delightful place! The food was excellent and the service was great. So many places like this, here in California, are disappearing. A community will never be defined by the local McDonalds, but will remince about these wonderful eating places. The other fun memory of this place was when the man to our left turned to us and wanted to know where we were from. I thought we had fitted in quite well. We live in a city of 200,000 and we rarely run into anyone we know. We had a pleasant conversation and we have such warm memories of this town and this hamburger place! read more
