I am a 71 year old man with pain and disability resulting from a pinched nerve. My left leg was in…read moreconstant pain and essentially out of action. I couldn't walk without crutches or a walker. The pain took away my appetite and I lost a lot of weight. I also had a lot of trouble sleeping at night. I saw Robin Pflieger to get help. Robin tested my mobility and strength in a number of different ways to try to determine what and where my problems were and what kinds of physical therapy would help. She watched me stand up, sit down, and walk with the walker. She then taught me to do various exercises and explained the purpose of each one. She also did a certain amount of stretching and massage. Some of that helped and some didn't, but she paid attention to any feedback I gave her and adapted her treatments in light of what I was reporting. We talked the entire time over the course of two sessions so that, in addition to getting good physical therapy, I got answers to a lot of questions that I had no one else to ask about. Another reviewer said that Robin is "a wonderful listener, encourager, and skilled physical therapist." I agree. All of the doctors and other physical therapists I had spoken to were very non-committal about my prospects. I think no one wanted to make any promises about what I would or wouldn't be able to do and so they just offered their treatments and said "We'll see what happens." Robin told me that she believed that physical therapy would give me a lot of benefit and she turned out to be right. She gave me motivation to work at this and the work paid off. I haven't cured my pinched nerve. I still have a lot of pain. I may need surgery to resolve the underlying condition. But I've gotten out of the walker, I can walk around the house, climb stairs, take a shower standing up, do household chores, drive my car, and walk a couple of blocks or so before the pain really builds up. My wife and I are now living a much more normal life instead of the life of a cripple and his caretaker. I highly recommend her services.

As an occupational therapist, to say that I expect the highest level of knowledge and…read moreprofessionalism from medical professionals with whom I work on a personal level is an understatement. I have seen several physical therapists through the years, and none come close to Robin. Following two failed rotator cuff surgeries on the same shoulder, Robin is the ONLY medical professional (and I have seen many) to give me hope for the future. The last three years have been filled with disappointment, anger, despair, frustration, and pain. In just two sessions with Robin, so much has improved physically, emotionally, and mentally. I have gained strength, range of motion, increased ease in completing daily activities, decreased pain, and most importantly-hope for the future. Robin's skill, personality, and care for me is top notch. I do not feel like a patient, but a friend who she wants to help and believes the best about. She is a wonderful listener, encourager, and skilled physical therapist. I am so thankful that my path crossed with Robin's. There is no price tag that can be placed on all that Robin has given back to me.

I am writing this review because I believe prospective patients deserve to know about my…read moreexperience. I have been receiving occupational therapy here following hand surgery, and the therapist treating me is also the owner of the practice. During my appointment, she voluntarily shared a story about a former patient who used pronouns outside of "he" or "she." She stated that she refused to use those pronouns and expressed that she does not respect people who do. She also commented that her daughter is "too much of a stickler" for LGBTQ+ rights. This conversation had nothing to do with my treatment, yet it was brought into a healthcare setting where patients should feel safe, respected, and welcome regardless of their identity. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I found these comments deeply disappointing and offensive. I also have family members who use they/them pronouns, so hearing a healthcare provider openly describe refusing to respect a patient's identity was unsettling. Everyone is entitled to their personal beliefs. However, when those beliefs are expressed in a way that signals certain patients may not be treated with the same respect or dignity, people deserve to know before choosing where to receive care. If you are non-binary, gender-fluid, or simply expect your healthcare providers to respect patients' identities, I would encourage you to consider this experience before choosing this practice.

I really cant say enough about Life Adjusted Chiropractic!!!!…read more I was a new patient to the practice a few years ago. I went in with excruciating neck pain and unable to turn my head. I had been prescribed pain medication and even got shots of muscle relaxers, all masking the issue but never really resolving it or helping in the long run. I decided to try Chiropractic and Life Adjusted was recommended to me by a friend. Dr Bree was absolutely amazing on my first trip and every visit after. She explained everything to me, took her time with me and calmed my fears. I was in some rough shape so I had to go pretty frequently until I was back to normal, I now go for maintenance every 2 or 3 weeks. I can honestly say Life Adjusted has changed my life. Ive seen every Doc in the office and they are all great and have their own style so try them all! Because of Life Adjusted I live pain free and cant thank them enough for that. They are a blessing! Also as a side note they are genuinely awesome people!!! If you need a good book recommendation, a date night dinner idea, vacation ideas, need to hear a funny joke or borrow table numbers for your wedding (yes Dr. Bree let me borrow her homemade wedding table numbers for my wedding) then these are your people! Thank you Life Adjusted!!!

When I learned that my employer had a benefit through the company Carrot for reimbursement for…read morepostpartum services I started to look into doulas in our area. As a first time mom, I really had no idea what help a doula could provide, but after doing some research and talking to my OBGYN, my husband and I reached out to Amy at Dauphin County Doulas. Amy set up a zoom call for us to connect and discuss what I was hoping to achieve working together and it was a great experience from the very beginning. Education and baby basics, as well as another set of hands to help, were my main goals. My husband and I both can honestly say we got that and more working with Amy! I had some complications during my delivery that got my breastfeeding journey off to a slow start. Amy was at my house the day after I got home from the hospital and provided invaluable support and knowledge about nursing in those critical first days. Having someone so knowledgeable to weigh in on our specific circumstances in my home, without me having to go to a lactation consultant appointment at the hospital, saved my husband and I hours of going down internet rabbit holes as first time parents. She helped me as I dealt with some baby blues and the physical issues that come with having a c-section. From making sure I was eating a healthy lunch to helping me with the baby between feeds so I could take a much needed nap, I wouldn't have been able to heal and recover as quickly as I did without Amy helping me 2-3 days a week the first few weeks. We worked together until my son was around 8 weeks old and the version of us she left was night and day different from the version she saw day one. He is a thriving, happy baby who is gaining weight at a really good rate exclusively breastfeeding and is sleeping through the night already at 12 weeks because of our time spent working together. I will forever be grateful for Amy getting us through those difficult first weeks and can't recommend working with her and Dauphin County Doulas enough. We will definitely be calling them for baby #2 down the road!
