The therapists…read moretell you some exercises to do (i.e move a wash cloth back and forth against a wall) and come back and check on you occasionally. Which is all well and good but absolutely NOT worth the several hundreds of dollars they charge you/your insurance company PER VISIT. It's like a $50 service and they were charging several hundred. Big LOLz. I was shocked to receive such a high bill for such minimal therapy that I requested an itemized bill and discovered that they charge $44 each time they offer you an ice pack! LOL! I refuse to pay such an unscrupulous and immoral charge. It was truly just a regular ice pack from a freezer. $44! Annnyway, any medical debt under $500 can't be reported to credit bureaus so keep that in mind when assessing their insane bills. I don't know if ALL physical therapy is a sham and a scam, but I do know that this joint is. Avoid at all costs.

The wrong medications, ALL the time. Would they change them - Hell No. Because if they change the medication, they see that as an admission that they were using the wrong medication - SO, keeping using the Wrong One. Proof - I ordered and received the 1,000+ Medical Report after discharge to see what they were actually using. BTW, the bogus list of meds that they provide upon release bares no resemblence to what's listed in the actual Medical Record. And the bogus list included less than half the meds actually used. The same approach for dispensing the wrong dosage for the meds. Better yet, how about NO dosage? At times, NO appropriate medication was used. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worse pain; I was a 10 multiple times after an 8 level fusion surgery. Proof - If you PASS OUT and fall on the floor from pain, after suggesting suicide, that's a 10, period, no subjectivity involved. None. BTW, they get some of the employees to buy into the above approach, particularly the temp contract workers - they'll do anything to stay on the payroll!! And of course, Management knows that! Stay informed, And, stay away.

The best part is he mixes it up and adds new stuff (exercises/stretches/equipment) every single visit! He is open, thorough and responsive to any questions and concerns. Weiss physical therapy is located in a stunning office building and is always exceptionally clean. The reception staff are friendly and welcoming. John obviously loves what he does as he is often there helping his patients or doing new evaluations during evening hours, when others have already clocked out!

He then said, I don't know if I should take the new antibiotic yet because I already took one of the prior antibiotics this morning, I said, didn't the doctor advise you on this? He said, no. So I called up the pharmacy and asked the pharmacist and she said it was ok to start the new prescription right away and to throw the old one away. I said, the doctor told him to hold onto it for an infection that might occur down the road and she was taken back that a doctor would suggest that. She said, not ever antibiotic works for every infection. She said for example an antibiotic used for a sinus infection is not the same antibiotic that you would use for a bladder infection. She then stressed that the prior antibiotic should be thrown away right away.

I pulled my hamstring playing volleyball. It is just a community league, but I was concerned about a lengthy recovery (not as young and spry as I once was ;)). Dr. Jan gave me a set of exercises which helped me recover about 60% mobility and strength in about a week. The big game changer was the laser therapy... after applying that for several days in a row (only takes a few minutes each time), the pain was gone and the mobility and strength of my hamstring was restored. Wow! I was pleasantly surprised with both the rate and extent of recovery. Jan also provided some dynamic stretches to do prior to playing to avoid injury in the future. My first visit for back pain was a diagnostic meeting that we couldn't finish because the pain was so severe. Courtney called off the session. After a few weeks of steroid treatments I came back in better shape and completed several weeks of therapy with constant concern for my pain level and excellent results. The knee replacement therapy requires painful knee manipulation which Courtney did professionally, along with strengthening and flexibility exercises. Again, the treatments were very effective. I also had a good home therapy plan both times which also helped. This is the place to go.
