I was looking for something to do on a hot day with my nephew. This park was the perfect place to stop by. They have a jungle gym, basketball courts, a garden, and a sprinkler (we went for the sprinkler). There is a little button adjacent to the sprinkler that turns it right back on when it goes out (Has it always been this way? I don't think I noticed this when I was younger. I just figured that meant the park was closing up soon. *chuckles*)
The park seemed pretty clean to my surprise. For an afternoon trip, the park was empty. There were only 3 other children there which gave my nephew ample space to ride his scooter and hop in and out of the sprinkler as he pleased. There is also street parking available. This playground has bathrooms available but as a germaphobe, I drove all the way back home when my nephew had to 'go'.
All in all this is a great park to come to without having to worry about trash everywhere or your kid being knocked over. The only downside is that they only have swings for babies and not for bigger kids. We still enjoyed ourselves. read more
