Enjoying deli..cious sandwiches with a stunning boardwalk view... count me in!…read more The Boardwalk Deli is the quick service option at the Boardwalk Resort for Disney. Is it high quality? Yes, the food is great. Is it themed excellence? Yes, this is a destination... on a nice day though. Boardwalk has no quick service option inside of the building, so if it is a cold morning or rainy... you are trekking down the ambience to get your food through the elements. That's the only reason I moved it down to 4 We grabbed a chocolate croissant, coffee, orange and breakfast sandwich through mobile order. The order was prepared right on time and they do a great job of making it easy to grab!

With excited, hungry hopes after a red eye flight, my family and I scurried over to the Boardwalk Deli excited for the usual resort quick service options of Mickey waffles, eggs, bacon, and typical quick service options the WDW resorts have to offer. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Breakfast sandwiches (mostly on limited bagel choices) and pastries were all they served. They were above average tasting, so taste was not that big of a factor. Totally bummed out at the lackluster choices for breakfast, we ordered what we needed to satisfy our hunger and had high hopes for the other meals of the days during the rest of our stay. To our dismay, the choices during lunch and dinner were also really disappointing. (Avoid the grilled cheese. Completely disappointing!) We ended up only utilizing the deli to fill our refillable drink cups during the trip. For what it's worth, the Boardwalk Deli did have the mobile order or standby options available. There are no inside options to sit down and eat your food, so rain or heat, you can only sit in the outside tables and chairs along the Boardwalk if you don't want to take the food back to your room to eat. Everything about our stay at the Boardwalk Villas was amazing except the Quick Service options. With a baby in tow now, our days are a little bit different and we find ourselves not spending every second at the parks. Having a solid quick service option on property is important. This was the only con of the property for us.

We ordered the Quiche Lorraine, filled with ham and Gruyere cheese which they warmed up before serving. The buttery, flaky crust gave way to a rich, silky custard that was packed with savory flavor. The Gruyere added a wonderful nutty depth while the ham brought just the right amount of saltiness to balance everything out. For dessert, we shared the Raspberry Macaron with Lime Cream. The macaron shells had a delicate crisp exterior with a soft, chewy center, while the filling delivered a bright combination of tart raspberry and refreshing lime. It wasn't overwhelmingly sweet, allowing the fruit flavors to really shine. It was a light, refreshing finish after the richness of the quiche. This bakery delivers on both quality and flavor. Everything tasted fresh, beautifully prepared, perfect for a relaxing break from the bustle outside.

They have tables inside, so we opted to enjoy our food here. Items ordered: Hot chocolate- Good chocolate flavor and not too sweet Macaroons- kiddo ate them but I did not try them Almond croissant- flaky, great almond flavor, and delicious!! Chocolate mousse- not too sweet and texture and flavor were fine. Tarte au citron- yummy lemon tart! Plain croissant- perfectly executed We tried to go back for lunch the following day but the lunch line was insane and they do not offer mobile ordering.

We just dined in at Cake Bake Shop around 10pm tonight and had the most amazing experience ever…read more This place was completely booked out but we were lucky enough to snag this last minute reservation. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and had the best vibes. The best part about our experience here was our server. He was awesome and truly is what we love about being at Disney. We unfortunately did not catch his name but was one of the few servers still there right before closing. On top of that, the food is delicious! The star of the show was the velvet chicken noodle soup. It had so much flavor and had the same texture as clam chowder but with chicken bits. The onion soup also had so much flavor and so cheesy! The angel hair pasta was good for the price and the portion was huge but could have had a little more flavor. The steak was also cooked to a perfect medium rare. The drinks here were also great. We ordered the cosmo and espresso martini which tasted pretty strong. The raspberry champagne cake was a must for us. It was so moist and tasted so fresh. The best part of our experience was when our server took the time to pixie dust us and had us make a wish at the table. Truly such an amazing experience and we appreciated that he took the time to do that right before closing. Thank you Cake Bake Shop!

Very bright white fabrics with jewels and gold decor covering everything. Past the look, service was amazing. These employees at the Cake Bake shop, both on the restaurant side and the to go side put the customer first. My wife and I enjoyed our breakfast, everything was cooked perfectly and arrived quickly. We also enjoyed our selections on the to go side on two more separate occasions this trip. If, I'm being serious and honest I must say that the price for a slice of cake for the quality is not quite on point. I found that the frosting seemed to be heavy on whipping cream. We both agreed that the cake was a little on the dry side. Most importantly, we did not finish the whole slice of cake, both of us complained how our stomachs seemed upset. As I mentioned before, our other selections were fabulous. Stuffed croissant, key lime pie, plain croissant, chocolate chip cookie. While on the pricey side, these were definitely worth every bite.
