Pool staff review: What an amazing experience!! Here for the first time and the Lifeguards and staff made our time THE BEST!! Taylor and Justin were superb and that's what you really want out of a Disney resort.

Great place to grab coffee before heading to the parks or (as we did) before a morning stroll around the grounds of the Contemporary. The Mickey and Minnie latte art is a super fun addition that will add a bit of magic to your morning. They serve Joffrey's Coffee, like the rest of the resorts on Disney property and the coffee is consistently good. Located on the ground floor near the bus stops, it's easy to miss as everyone focuses on the Grand Canyon Concourse. The only downside is they close at one, so you can't grab an afternoon or evening coffee here. If you've got time, walk out of the backside of the ground floor and enjoy your coffee with a view of Bay Lake and Bay Lake Tower, a relaxing and beautiful way to start your day.

Great Value for a snack credit and the only Specialty Coffee in the Contemporary/Bay Lake Tower complex. Fun Latte art!

The line wrapped throughout the inside as well and it gave us time to select what cookies we wanted. We shared several amongst the 4 of is and all of the flavors were solid - super sweet, but large enough to fill us up however much we wanted. Prices were also decent for artisanal cookies. Overall, I would recommend this spot for a sweet treat! It was worth the wait, but maybe only if for less than 20 minutes in my opinion.

The outside looks like the entrance to a haunted ride and the line to enter confirms it. The inside is decorated super gothic feeling like an old edger Allan Poe poem. Speaking of which, all the old books aren't for show. These are actually aged real readable books, some probably worth quite a bit. There is an actual authentic 1829 "Works of Edger Allan Poe" book right at the counter. Expensive. The cookies are large thick and filling. Not to sugary at all. We had pistachio, cookies and cream, banana chocolate chip and peanut butter chocolate chip. Now here's the thing. They are great cookies cause the flavor isn't just a cup of sugar and some dough. You can taste the flavors and they work. But don't expect an explosion in your mouth. It's obvious they are going for real flavors that allow their own sweetness to shine. Here is the best thing to do. Cut your cookies in half and share amongst friends, or if your big backing have it all. BUT I refrigerated them over night and had one after a minute in the microwave and another cold straight out of the refrigerator and WOW! It took a very good cookie to something spectacular. The flavors just POP! I don't know what which-craft is involved in this but the spell definitely works. Find Gideon's, make the line and get a mix of cookies and a few slices of cake and head home for some Netflix and dessert!

We ordered the Quiche Lorraine, filled with ham and Gruyere cheese which they warmed up before serving. The buttery, flaky crust gave way to a rich, silky custard that was packed with savory flavor. The Gruyere added a wonderful nutty depth while the ham brought just the right amount of saltiness to balance everything out. For dessert, we shared the Raspberry Macaron with Lime Cream. The macaron shells had a delicate crisp exterior with a soft, chewy center, while the filling delivered a bright combination of tart raspberry and refreshing lime. It wasn't overwhelmingly sweet, allowing the fruit flavors to really shine. It was a light, refreshing finish after the richness of the quiche. This bakery delivers on both quality and flavor. I wasn't offered any milk or sugar and luckily I saw some sugar at the outside table but, didn't have any creamer options. There was no coffee station. I got a chocolate croissant to-go, and having been to France, it was on point. Here's the issue, and I hope the owners fix this. At 10:45am it was busy. This place is small!!!! Very French right? lol. I was patient. I waited in a long line and finally ordered with a smile. I got the croissant and cappuccino "for here" and the croissant "to go." I saw there were no open tables except for the 2 outside and today in FL, we are just coming off the freeze and it's 40 degrees out. I used the restroom and as I came back, a table was about to open. I stood at the counter and I believe the owner ( not the woman who took my order) asked me if my coffee and food was "to go." I said, " no just the croissant, my food and coffee are for here." So now by this time other people have ordered and he is just now prepping my cappuccino "for here." Now, this isn't his fault but, because of the lack of space, it creates a hostile environment. I turn around and see the long order line and a couple that stood up to leave. So I walk over to take the "now open" table and I kid you not, a woman jumped in front of me, hands out and says, " can i take this table?" She hadn't even ordered yet and had she not been so rude, I guarantee I would have been done eating by the time she even got food. She was in the back of the line. I just said, " sure" and spun on my heel and went back to the counter. Maybe I should have said "no, I was here first" but I don't like hostility. Everyone can hear and see this happening, as it's a small, quiet place. I guess when you're alone, people don't value you as a person. Same with flights and theaters. I get back to the counter, and I ask him if I should sit down ...or do I wait at the counter for my food...? And he looked at me and was like "well there aren't any tables", at that moment, another table opens up and another single woman snags it! Hasn't even ordered! Then he says, "well there's one outside." I decide to take my now delivered coffee and sit outside. It made my coffee cold almost instantly so, I grab a sugar packet, toss it in, and chug it back. I walk in, and I then say "excuse me, could you just make my order to go?" He says yes, and a few minutes later I get my order and leave. I had to drive 25 mins to get home but, I WILL say it was still good! Even the "to-go" box is plant based and biodegradable. My ADVICE!!!! And I hope you take it! Get rid of the tables. You can have 2 outside, that's fine, but you'd be better off with a bar setting with stools all around the perimeter and a coffee station for additional things like creamer, sugar and cinnamon. This needs to be more of a grab and go place and even some Starbucks locations have implemented this. Make it friendly for single people, not families. Bar seating inspires quick service. Thank you! Merci!

The Neighborhood Bakery is located in Hollywood Studios right outside Toy Story Land and near the Incredible's Celebration area. Though they have other snacks to order, their real claim-to-fame there is the Num Num Cookie. We had questionable service there, which is why I'm docking a star off. The CM seemed super annoyed and angry working. We were mutually having trouble hearing each other and she would get so visibly upset with each exchange. Luckily, the cookie saved the day or it would have been a bust! At the time of our visit, they were not taking an AP discount. Also keep in mind you will need a park reservation to Hollywood Studios to grab a snack/treat at Neighborhood Bakery.

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and had the best vibes. The best part about our experience here was our server. He was awesome and truly is what we love about being at Disney. We unfortunately did not catch his name but was one of the few servers still there right before closing. On top of that, the food is delicious! The star of the show was the velvet chicken noodle soup. It had so much flavor and had the same texture as clam chowder but with chicken bits. The onion soup also had so much flavor and so cheesy! The angel hair pasta was good for the price and the portion was huge but could have had a little more flavor. The steak was also cooked to a perfect medium rare. The drinks here were also great. We ordered the cosmo and espresso martini which tasted pretty strong. The raspberry champagne cake was a must for us. It was so moist and tasted so fresh. Very bright white fabrics with jewels and gold decor covering everything. Past the look, service was amazing. These employees at the Cake Bake shop, both on the restaurant side and the to go side put the customer first. My wife and I enjoyed our breakfast, everything was cooked perfectly and arrived quickly. We also enjoyed our selections on the to go side on two more separate occasions this trip. If, I'm being serious and honest I must say that the price for a slice of cake for the quality is not quite on point. I found that the frosting seemed to be heavy on whipping cream. We both agreed that the cake was a little on the dry side. Most importantly, we did not finish the whole slice of cake, both of us complained how our stomachs seemed upset. As I mentioned before, our other selections were fabulous. Stuffed croissant, key lime pie, plain croissant, chocolate chip cookie. While on the pricey side, these were definitely worth every bite.

I do understand that overtime menu items change, but would argue they should change for the better and not get worse. Our "go-to" in the past was their awesome pretzel that was a sweet pretzel with toasted almonds. This was soft and basically a perfect treat. On this visit, I was informed they no longer had it and the sweet pretzel had raisins and some chocolate drizzled on it. So, we did try it. This pretzel was a total disappointment. It was hard, almost as if it was stale and very chewy. The taste was very blah and basically not appetizing at all. We shared it and at the end felt we should have taken it back and asked for a refund. Cost was higher, for something that was kind of "bad" for Disney expectations. We did also try the school bread, which also was not great, not a soft pastry and also not fresh tasting. I don't have a comparison, as I ordered this as to try two items since I wasn't sure we would like the pretzel. The overall building was clean and there were adequate seats. Needless to say, until the previous quality returns at this location, we will look toward other venues and not visit this one again.
