For someone who hardly drinks coffee (less than 5 times my entire life), this visit to Starbucks…read moreleft me very impressed. I was running off 4 hours of sleep & was on my way to Portland to work at the COVID Vaccine Clinic at OCC. It was 4am and of course this location was open (A BONUS! Most opened at 0500-0530). I mentioned to the barista that I hardly drink coffee, but there were 3 drinks I was interested in (from what I looked up on google). I couldn't decide between the 3 and was looking for something on the sweeter side; yet, had caffeine. Out of the 3 drinks, she recommended Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew which I originally had asked for the smallest size possible (knowing my tolerance for caffeine was likely very low). I get to the drive-up window and her & another barista had mentioned that they were giving me a significantly larger size in case I ended up liking what she recommended! I was VERY happy with her recommendation and it kept me running for about 12 hours. Thank you for your amazing service. I wish I had gotten their names. I will definitely remember their faces the next time I visit again.

Environment: Fairly spacious interior. You'll see the long order corner up front and the restrooms on the side; a code is needed to enter. We placed our order at the counter and had a wait before our drinks were ready. We ordered 3 drinks but only 2 of them came out. Not sure how, but they somehow lost our order for the 3rd drink. And we had to flag one of the employees down to ask about it. What was ordered: - Nitro Cold Brew - Matcha Tea Latte Yay/Nay/Meh: Meh. The place was nice and clean but the wait was long, and they lost one of our drink orders. Credit cards are accepted.

This place is one of the most beautiful and chill places I have been to in a while. This is the…read morekind of place where you go to relax and really enjoy the food. You take your time and get to chat with friends and actually taste the food. The chairs are plush and comfortable and you never feel rushed. A fresh ice cold bottle of water is brought to the table and the service was amazing. So warm and friendly and they explain the menu if you have any questions. The food is clearly the best I've had in a long time. The spices are so rich and flavorful. Half the menu is vegan/vegetarian and the other half has meat options. If you want to sample a bit of everything they have a delicious platter. The braised beef is melt in your mouth tender and so good! 10 out of 10. I am so going back and taking all my friends and family with me.

Gursha Eats is truly a gem in the Salem, OR community. While spending a week there (Salem),…read morevisiting my best friend, she took me all around Salem to explore some of her local favorites, and Gursha Eats was one of them. Now, the last time I had authentic Ethiopian food was many years ago, with the same best friend at this Ethiopian spot in Orlando, FL - the name of which is escaping me. Needless to say, it's been YEARS. So, I was very excited to visit Gursha Eats because my best friend had done nothing short of speak AMAZING things about this local eatery. And, naturally, Gursha Eats did not disappoint. Again, I repeat, what a gem! The staff were just the absolute sweetest! Service was top-tier and quick as can be. However, the food was the MAIN attraction. I got the platter, so that I was able to try a little bit of everything, and wow, wow, WOW!! It was so flavorful. My goodness! I was truly blown away by how wonderful everything tasted. I have found African & other black & brown cultural (& being of Caribbean descent - so I get it) cuisines very filling and heavy. So, I didn't eat a ton while there because I got full pretty quickly, but I was happy to have leftovers to enjoy later, and that I did. The leftovers were just as amazing as eating it in the restaurant. Nothing was overly spicy. Everything was served fresh and paired very well with the tea I requested, but I am drawing a blank on the flavor I got. I was truly a happy camper after that meal. If Gursha Eats didn't know this, they know now, I am a FAN for life. And for as long as my best friend calls Oregon home, I will be sure to find my way to Salem to visit Gursha Eats. If you are a local and have not been, please give them your patronage. If you are visiting Salem, as I was, I also urge you to visit this local gem. You will not, I repeat, you will not be disappointed. This little spot is definitely worth it. Before I wrap this up, the restaurant was previously a Latin cuisine spot, so when you walk in, it is a mixed fusion of Latin and Ethiopian decor. It blends quite nicely - actually. So, just a fun little fact. Do not let the previous signage and decor throw you off because Gursha Eats is a bit newer. I am sure, in time, they will slowly convert the decor to more traditional Ethiopian aesthetics. And even if they don't, as I mentioned, the fusion of cultures kind of works well. It definitely has a nice homey feel to it, too. So, overall, you just get the feeling of visiting family. It is just a warming and inviting spot to visit. Again, please, please check this local eatery out. It is so worth it!
