The service was painfully slow, bordering on incompetent. Three dishes were not as described, and one arrived stone cold. After the food arrived, it took five minutes for them to bring the cutlery. My request for warm food was not resolved. They did subtract the price of one meal, but getting the bill took another 10 minutes. Will not be back! read more

Atmosphere - A regional chain restaurant, but the art work on the walls feels disjoined. Food Drinks - A water and a Leinenkugel's Honey Weiss. This a good summer time beer. Appetizers - We went through a lot of the free popcorn. The popcorn is almost as good as movie theater popcorn. We also had an order of onion rings. The rings were nothing special. They were heavenly breaded; I like the breading to be light to point where you can still see the onions. Dinner - I had the inferno burger. The heat was not there. The jalapeno peppers were not fresh, almost waxy in appearance. The burger was cooked well. Service - For a large group she took care of us well. Drinks never ran out. Future - Perhaps. read more

Now that we have returned to some level of normalcy and able to return to the "old watering hole", I have returned finding the old crew still in place. One thing that caught my eye was the "super deep clean" of the facility the management staff undertook during the "stay at home" orders. They were cleaned and polished from top to bottom. Had a great first experience at Ground around. Brought four kids in for Sunday lunch, only to find that they are a penny a pound for kids meals! Paid less that $2.00 total for all four kids meals! I had the black and bleu burger, it was pretty good. We'll be coming back for sure. read more

Went to dinner with a large group. We had two vegetarians in our group and I must say that for a restaurant of this kind I was shocked that there was not one actual vegetarian meal on the menu. We both picked a dish with grilled chicken on it and asked for the chicken to be removed. I had the Texas tangler salad minus the grilled chicken. It had beans, corn, salsa, fried onions and ranch & BBQ sauce. It was a pretty darn good salad. Our server was good. The food arrived hot, relatively fast and correct. I would return. read more

Do not go to this restaurant. Period. The service was awful, the drinks were awful, and the food was awful. Just went here last night for a friend's birthday. Staff didn't bother asking if it was a special occasion or if we had ever been there before. Returned the drinks to the bar because the LITs were way too dark and just tasted like Coke - so our waitress told us to just order something else because they "just push a button and that's the drink mix," so if we didn't like it, that's all we were getting. Not sure why any "bar" would be using auto-pours on a LIT, but I can tell you, it's not working. I ordered a water first with the intention of ordering a glass of wine, but the server never gave me a chance - she just brought the water and moved on. Everyone at the table ordered burgers, and I got a salad. The taco salad was $13, which is fairly expensive for a simple salad at a family, chain restaurant. My salad was this sad, wilty mess, and everyone else's burgers looked like skinny hockey pucks. Seriously BLACK on the outside. None of us finished our meals. The waitress saw that our food had been pushed around on our plates and not eaten, but didn't ask how the food was or see if we needed anything. (One of the girls at the table did order a turkey sandwich, which she said was good, but it's a deli sandwich, so it was a safe call. If you go here, order the turkey sandwich, apparently!) We all left hungry and went for drinks and dessert somewhere else. Look, I realize the Ground Round is not a five-star restaurant. But it should be up to the same caliber as other American eateries like Applebee's or Chili's or Ruby Tuesdays, and it was beyond disappointing. If you are high risk for covid at all, avoid this restaurant. We were seated, and then the only other people in the restaurant were seated in the very next booth. Our server wore no mask and was obviously very short of breath, which led to him wheezing across our table and on our food. This was concerning, so we wrapped up our meal quickly (wildly over-salted and the meat was unsafely cold), paid our bill after correcting a charge for an item that we ordered and never received, and left quickly. I ordered the fiesta salad with chicken. After 45 minutes it was served with ice cold chicken, not Luke warm but COLD. They took it back and brought me another. The chicken warm and dry and tough . Too many restaurants around to repeat that mistake. read more

Made a college visit over to Minot, ND. Whilst the girls ate with the softball team, another parent and I went to Ground Round for dinner. When we arrived the place was a disaster. Idk if they had been super busy or what but the popcorn was all over the floor. Anywho we still give it a chance. The tortilla soup was good, the potatoes skins were tasteless and returned and replaced with a Chicken Quesadilla , The fajitas were REALLY good. Blood Mary was delish and in special. Waiter was attentive. So all in all it was a ok place. And btw when we left the restaurant was back in order and clean. read more

If you want your meat cooked less then medium well, then don't bother. My wife ordered the black and blue burger and asked to have it medium, and was told that they don't cook it less then medium well unless requested. We said yes that's why we are requesting medium with a little pink. When the food was brought, we were told here is your medium well burger. Wait. No we said medium. And we're then told that no we don't cook the meat less then medium well. We then heard the kitchen staff discussing us in the kitchen, and that they don't cook any meat less then medium well to well. If I wanted to eat shoe leather, I'd go to the shoe store. read more

I was in 2 nights in a row as I was staying in the Holiday Inn. Both nights I sat at the bar and the service was great. The bar tenders were both friendly and attentive to me. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. We started off the disappointing meal by ordering our drinks. About 15-20 minutes later we received our drinks, 1 incorrect, and were finally able to order. About an hour or so later we received our food. Out of 5 plates, 4 of them were cold. Nothing tasted as we had remembered from previous visits-none for the better. This has got to be the worst service I have ever received. I can count on one hand the amount of times our waitress MEGAN came to our table. Not only did she seem very off put and almost rude, but never once came to ask us if we needed anything. We ended up having to call over 2 different waitresses and the manager for refills. The food was fair to be the nicest. Luke warm burgers, overdone cheese sticks and a shitty salad. I see no need to go in to the menu because it's ground round for gods sake. Pretty much Applebee's with popcorn and maybe slightly less inspiring food. I go only for the tortilla soup. That's the one thing that can always taste good. Cajun or spicy chicken sandwich is usually good but sometimes come out rubbery sometimes just ok. No reason to go out of your way. If you are starving and you can't handle a short drive across Minot and must eat while on that particular area of town then by all means stop in to eat otherwise don't raise your expectations and don't say you weren't warned read more

Here now, atmosphere looks okay, not bad for small town. My food was okay, more bread than anything for a clubhouse burger. I have been in the Ground Round in Bismarck and it's wonderful! This one is not, however. My husband and I sat at the bar to receive good service but even though there were two bartenders with a half empty bar, it did not happen. My husband had a beer and I had a soda. The bartender didn't offer me another when empty because "well, you are only drinking a Sprite." We had wanted to eat but we're not offered menus at any time.
