    Spicy chicken sandwich
    Sami A.

The food truck has a good number of options. I did decide to go with the spicy chicken sandwich because it's been the news around town after Mico's popped up. I did really like the chicken sandwich but in my opinion the beef patty was too thin even though it tasted great. I will definitely be pulling over for the chicken sandwich if I'm driving down westheimer. The spot can be tricky to find because there is not a cut in the median to access the food truck but it is between Fondren and Dunvale. The owner is a nice genuine businessman who welcomed opinions and provided some good suggestions on what to order for a first timer.

If you're looking for amazing burgers in Houston, then this is the spot for you. Their Jalapeño Dreamer burger is definitely in my top 2 burgers of Houston and it's not number 2. It consists of a halal beef patty, some jalapeño ranch sauce that is unique and out of this world, and some crushed Doritos. During my last visit, I added halal bacon to my order and it paired perfectly with it. The best part is that this food truck is open late like until 3am on the weekends. I can't wait till they have their own brick & mortar store!

Chili Burger and side of fries

TL;DR Version Inconvenient experience for pretty okay food. You don't know if it's open or if it closed early, you don't know if certain foods are being offered that day according to what the owner decides to cook, and the food takes a while to get out to you. But the food is pretty good. Full Review: After the first time trying this place and finding an entirely empty food truck and leaving after waiting a while, we finally made our way back. We were looking forward to their rice bowls! I saw someone posted about a double chicken rice bowl and was stoked to try it! When we both asked for a rice bowl, the owner said that he didn't have any of those. We asked if he ran out, and he proceeded to inform us that certain things on his menu, like the rice dishes, are "special". When he has the rice, he offers them. When he doesn't make the rice, he doesn't. That was a big dissapointment because we came specifically for those bowls. We ordered burgers with fries instead, and waited nearly 20 minutes for our food to get out to us. The food itself was pretty solid, solid 7/10, and the Chili Burger was really spicy, a plus for me. The fries are also seasoned, which gives them a nice kick. But given that whole experience is such a hassle, the food didn't wow us enough to come back and deal with all that.

The fully loaded hot dog is so legit and a great portion too!

This is hands down my favorite burger spot in Houston right now, and that's saying a lot! With a combination of his stellar culinary creativity and a desire to provide top-notch customer service, owner Ahmad has truly earned every bit of his success. Whether you're looking to try one of their popular menu offerings, or are seeking to customize the experience by trying new items with your own touch, Ahmad works with you to ensure 100% satisfaction. It's a refreshingly pleasant overall approach to establishing connection with his customers and for that, this place deserves continued growth and recognition. Their chili burger is a must try while the jalapeño dreamer is a worthy staple as well. Spicy chicken here is solid too and the newly launched kafta kabob packs some incredible flavor. Two thumbs way up!!!!

This place is fantastic. The burgers are absolutely delicious and you get a lot of food as well for an affordable price. The staff is really nice and they are quick with the food. Definitely recommend it to anyone in the area. The jalapeno dreamer and the spicy crispy chicken are my personal favorites.

I wanted to get a feel of this place so I tried the cheeseburger and my husband ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. I liked how the burger tasted homemade and the fries were crispy like I like them. The spicy chicken sandwich had a nice kick to it. It was something different about the sandwich and I couldn't out my finger in it but it was still good.

    Chicken Shawarma Fries

So 1:48 am we get the munchies. We find this late night food truck, Groovy Burger & decide to give it a try. Not to far from where we live, so let's go. Upon arrival, parking was easy & area was clean & well lit. I ended up getting the Chicken Shawarma fries, pictured. Enough for 2 & delicious! Plenty of chicken, sauce & spice...perfect snack. My sons got the Jalapeño Dreamer & Spicy Chicken sandwich's. The dreamer, he said, will leave you dreaming for another one haha. He said wasn't to spicy just delicious. The Spicy Chicken sandwich, that I managed to snag a bite, is a must try! I will return sooner than later to get that sandwich for myself. It was delicious. All in all, from the looks of it, I'm sure it's all delicious. We will be back! Love the late hours, thanks. Way better than the corner What?

They had run out of beef ribs, so we ended up getting the pork chop instead, and it was really good! The mac and cheese with bacon was rich, cheesy, and delicious. The potato salad was a huge surprise, I'm usually not a potato salad person, but this one was a solid 10/10. The only thing I wouldn't recommend was this French-style side (it looked like a giant turd ). It was a 0/10 for me. I took one bite and couldn't eat the rest. The peach cobbler was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it didn't really wow me compared to everything else. Overall, the food was incredible, especially the brisket. I'll definitely be coming back. 10/10, highly recommend!

Definitely my favorite of their meats), jalapeño cheddar sausage (super juicy), coleslaw, bacon Mac n cheese (creamy and goood), and the meats came with pickled jalapeño, onions, and pickles. We also got the beef ribs, which were good but a bit salty, and a mix of the lean and fatty brisket -I definitely preferred the lean cut since it was already super juicy. The potato salad was hearty and good. Slicing the brisket! The workers were all so friendly!

We tried the turkey, brisket, and jalapeño sausage, and every one of them was delicious. The brisket was especially impressive--moist, incredibly tender, and so soft you didn't even need a knife to cut it. The sides were very good, but the meats were definitely the highlight of the meal. One thing we really appreciated was the toppings bar, which included pickles, onions, pickled onions, jalapeños, and two different barbecue sauces so you could customize each bite. They even had a mini soft-serve ice cream machine for a little dessert after your meal, which was a nice touch. They also offer family meal options, making it a great choice for larger groups. The restaurant was clean, had plenty of seating, and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. If you're looking for excellent halal barbecue in the Houston area, Levant is definitely worth a visit!

All the servers were prompt and helpful and our food came out quickly. The korma chop was heavenly like last time - so well-flavored and savory! The beef was definitely a good choice. The dumplings were delicious as well - a bit lighter on the flavor but quite filling and paired nicely with the chili oil dipping sauce. The restaurant was about half-filled on a Saturday evening so we had no trouble getting a table. There are plenty of seating options for parties of 2-4 and a few options for larger parties. This is a nicely sized spot next to the Jusgo plaza in Houston Chinatown, so plenty of parking and also food options. It's tucked in a corner but should not be written off. Its a pretty casual sitdown restaurant and we were welcomed and sat pretty quickly on a Saturday around 8:30PM. We were provided menus and started ordering everything that sounded good (within reason for 2, sorta). We ended up getting the Uyghur polo with lamb shank, Uyghur goshnaan, korma chop, garlic cucumbers, mint tea, and a yogurt for dessert. This was more than enough food for 2 but I wanted to try a bunch and this is me holding back. The Uyghur goshnaan was very crispy and the filling was flavorful and juicy, good lamb flavor and nice spices. The Uyghur polo with lamb shank was great and the pilaf had a nice sweetness with raisins that cut through some of the fatty richness of the lamb. The korma chop was also super flavorful with a nice savory sauce and noodled with an excellent texture, very QQ. I don't usually order cucumbers at Asian restaurants cause I can make a cucumber salad pretty easily at home but the one here was very good. Excellent refreshing crunch and garlic flavor to go with all the other dishes. The mint tea was also nice to wash down the mountains of food I was inhaling. I also enjoyed the yogurt, it's a thicker yogurt like a Greek yogurt and topped with honey and raisins. Again, a nice sweet/tart treat that didn't feel too heavy after everything else. I definitely need to come back as I didn't even get my big plate chicken but it'll be hard to choose between all the options. I def recommend this spot, esp if you like lamb as all the dishes we had were excellent and priced fairly for the portion and current economic situation.
