Central Bark/Groomingdales has turned a corner! Brought in my dirty, stinky, long-overdue for a bath Aussie. HEATHER and her co-workers performed a miracle which resulted in a SHOW DOG. Lexi's coat is remarkable, aroma is delightful, nail and paws look incredible. I definitely recommend Heather at Central Bark. And don't forget to tip your groomer. read more

I was so impressed with the wonderful care my 17 year old golden retriever received. This was our first time at Groomingdales. Mollie can't stand up very long and they made adjustments for her. Her haircut is perfect! Mollie is acting like she's teenager. They treated her so kind. And I so appreciate that! read more

Not sure where my recent is or if post was deleted but as an update he did go to the vet again and had a yeast infection in the ear the vet directly said was from the groomers letting water set in his ear too long plus more and needed 2 months worth of medication we couldnt hardly afford. Anyways since my last post was gone somehow just a heads up our experience, all it takes is one bad time but hope your experience is great. read more

1 star is generous. We had the worst experience at Groomingdales. I've never written a negative review before and just had to. Dropped our dog off at 1 and was told a couple hours. Finally told them we had to pick him up at 4:30 after being put off. Our golden retriever has been going to groomers for 5 years including Groomingdales for a year with the previous owners and has always loved the experience. They told us he was afraid of the dryer so kenneled him all day. Didn't even groom him. We are still confused about the events. Tried to talk to the owner and they would not get him. Awful. read more

The staff is very friendly and kind so it pains me to give them 2 stars. But my dog has tufts of hair on her feet that should have been trimmed, has a scab where the clippers got her (and it was discovered by me at home -- groomer did not share this info), and she is uneven in multiple areas. My dog is extremely relaxed to groom so I know that it's not the dog's fault for errors. I fear that the individual groomer did not have experience with hair. I walked in and saw a lot of dogs with fur ... I believe fur is more forgiving. I likely won't bring her back and would not recommend a dog with hair to be groomed here. On April 5th 2022 my two yorkies who had been using Groomingdales since birth had appointments with the new owners who took over the first of this year for the first time for their quarterly grooming. The young man who received them at the door was given my instructions and took them inside. We haven't been allowed indoors since covid. The dogs were there 6 HOURS NEVER having taken more than 3 1/3 - 4 at the very most on a busy day with previous owner and when I got them home saw the groomer had cut the top of my dogs ear off. I called and asked about it and she didn't seem concerned at all. Flippant at best! Never dawning on the groomer that she should have informed me of her horrid mistake!! I took the dog to the vet and the vet said the probable reason the dogs were there 6 hours was due to horrendous amount of bleeding there would obviously have been from the ear being cut off. Over the following weeks I have sent a letter and an email to the owner of the shop and have yet after all this time not heard back from him. It's been 10 weeks. He obviously has no interest in being responsible. No refund, no offer to have a discount??? NOTHING, not even an apology. This is NOT the Groomingdales we have all known and loved for better than 20 years here in Sisters! NOT RECOMMENDED!! read more

Not sure what happened to my post but I am happy to repost. Spring of this year I brought my Heeler in for a nail trim. She's had bad experiences so I was a little leary. It was during COVID so I was instructed to stay outside. A few minutes later Kathy brought my dog back and said she is not a candidate for getting a nail trim. Halfway though she did a back flip and peed and pooed in the air spraying it everywhere. I apologized profusely. She was freaked. I took her and put her in the car only to notice blood everywhere! They had quicked her. Didn't say anything about it. And tried to pretend it was my dogs attitude that caused the problem. Then Sam asked me to still pay him. Today was our second trip to Groomingdale's. We live in Portland but have a house in Sisters, and went to Groomingdale's this summer during a visit out of doggie desperation, and went again now in December because we liked them so much. Our pup comes back smelling like a rose and beautifully groomed. Everyone we've seen/talked to has been super kind, nice, and attentive to our little Lucy. I think we have a new groomer! read more

I couldn't have had a more negative experience!! My dog is terrified of getting her nails done but I thought I would try it one more time. When it was over Kathy came out and said it had gone well at first but half way through my dog Scout did a back flip while pooping and pissing trying to get away. She was obviously totally freaked!! I was told my dog would never be a "candidate" for getting her nails done. I apologized and took her to the car. Only to notice pools of blood on my seat while she lay shaking on the floor. THEY QUICKED HER BADLY AND NEVER BOTHERED TO ADMIT IT AND TRIED TO BLAME HER ACTIONS ON MY DOGS ATTITUDE. AND THEY STILL WANTED ME TO PAY. Thanks Sam. I was in 2 times to get information on their services. Both times I witnessed aggressive treatment to dogs and unhappy workers. It feels like a factory with overworked and underpaid staff. Most dogs are very afraid of going to the groomer and there was not a feeling of sensitivity at all for the dogs feelings. It was heartbreaking to see. read more

We have three doggies... two of them we take every couple months and they always do a great job.... we take our little dog to Groomingdales just to have his nails done... he fusses and squirms but they get the job done... Groomingdales is just flat fantastic. Our designer mutt Emma has been to a number of groomers as we live here part-time, and this is the only groomer who can make our Irish Goldendoodle look both beautiful and unique. Many groomers let you say what you want, then go ahead and apply their standard cuts, but Groomingdales' staff listens and incorporates your input for a great result. This place is never open during their posted business hours. Whenever I call or stop by no one answers or is there and there is no sign saying they're closed- the sign on the door actually says their open but they're not. I think their posted hours are incorrect. I've tried numerous times since this past summer to get ahold of them by calling and dropping in and no one is there. read more

Used to bring my dog in regularly for grooming. I had heard that they had recently changed owners but paid it no mind. Picked up my dog, tipped well. On the way home I noticed blood on the passenger seat where my dog was sitting. When cutting her nails they cut her. NEVER has that happened any where before. You would have thought they would notify you of such but no. When I called they offered for me to bring her back and they would apply an ointment and thanked me for letting them know, no apology. While on vacation, I needed to have my designer dog (mini Labradoodle) trimmed and bathed. Appointments? Almost two weeks out..Arggh.. We would be leaving in a few days. The owner was gracious enough to fit me in later that day. Wonderful people, great facility, great price compared to what I usually pay.. And, best of all, a great job. read more
