Wonderful, my FIVE DOLLAR COUPON granted me great grooming service. The delivery service is great also. My dog is being returned to me in a box after his cremation which is not my idea of giving myself a Christmas Gift. I should have a UPS tracking number so I know the delivery status. I am sorry, but I took my beautiful loving baby Pomeranian to Groomingbells on November 21st, 2013 who was a happy boy in the morning. Hours later he is dead and I am so heartbroken. I've been to Groomingbells many times over the years. When I went to pick my baby it was horrific. His eyes were the size of golf balls, disoriented and paws stuck under his belly and flailing. At this horrific sight, I asked what was wrong with him, and he concluded he was just thirsty and would be fine. Plus, some woman picked him up like dirty laundry and brought him back to continue blow drying him. This is disgusting. I told them to stop and she only stopped when "he" spoke to her in Spanish. They had the responsibility to inform me immediately if my baby was having a problem so that I can at least get him the immediate care he so desperately needed. I know it would have saved him. They failed at that. I was a couple of miles away and they knew that. Instead they placed a smiley face bandana around his neck. Maybe they thought that would help this precious baby. I ran him to my vet to try and save him. He suffered from heatstroke which caused blindness and brain injury (high temps for an extended period of time). I transported him by pet ambulance to the pet ER.. He died 3 hours later. My heart has been ripped out. The loss of this beautiful animal is so immensely painful and I would not wish this on anyone or any animal! Groomingbells has not acknowledged any responsibility, and do not respond to my reasonable communication for answers which hurts even more, plus the debt I have incurred trying to save him. They will be hearing from me. I am a wonderful caring person and would never want to hurt someone's livelihood. It is disgusting that they don't take responsibility. Please be proactive and find an Urn that matches your decor before bringing in your dog for his or her next grooming at Groomingbells. Wait until after the Holidays. To Mary A..In response to your review posted on Yelp on 11/17/14. You have asked me not to send my condolences so I will honor your request. It has been over a year since Rocky has passed. While I still feel terrible, it is time that I answer your unfounded accusations on the social media venue you have chosen. Over the past year you have taken every opportunity to damage my personal and business reputation. An unintended victim was my son who also shares the same first name as I. Mary you had your day in court, on June 6 ,2014 your case was heard in Nassau County Small Claims Court. The Judge was Joy Watson a well seasoned former N.Y.State Supreme Court Judge who has many years of experience. Your case was dismissed (thrown out) and Judge Watson asked you what proof you had Groomingbelle's caused Rocky's Death. You were unable to produce any facts. On this date (June 6, 2014)Rocky's Veterinary records which were subpoenaed 3 months prior were finally handed over to us less that 1 hour prior to the hearing. My friend, who was with me that date who has considerable medical experience was able to review the records and found considerable evidence that Rocky was a very sick dog. A fact that was never revealed to me. It seems that in July 2012 (over a year prior to his passing) Rocky was seen at the 24 hour Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Westbury N.Y. It seems he had collapsed ( there were several prior instances of this) and was unconscious for a significant period. The results of that visit was Cardiomegaly (an enlarged heart) and soft Trachea (windpipe). An enlarged heart can be a precursor or symptom of Congestive Heart Failure (google it for yourself). Soft Trachea is a condition not unusual to Pomeranians in which the normally rigid trachea (windpipe) lacks the ability to stay open during breathing. It can partially or fully collapse limiting a dogs ability to breath.(Google it) . As a dog is largely covered with hair the areas in which a dog can vent heat is limited Nose, Tongue ,Paw Pad, and Breathing. It's why a dog pants on a hot day. With a windpipe that is not fully functional one of it's major pathways to cool itself is restricted. None of this information was ever relayed to us. Had we known, we would likely have referred Rocky to a facility where he could be groomed under Veterinary Supervision. It is the owners responsibility to convey an animal special needs to us so we can provide the most beneficial services. read more

Love love love Victor and his team. I have been taking my shih tzu, Emma (who is a puppy mill rescue) to Victor for about a year and a half. After we adopted Emma 3 1/2 yrs ago I started looking for groomers. No one ever did what I asked, one place even shaved her so badly she was depressed for about a month before she really started to act like her old self. It got so bad with groomers that I decided to groom her at home myself, but that didn't work out too well. I ran into a friend who gave me Groomingbells info and the rest is history. I am so happy that I have found a groomer that cares about Emma and her well being. We don't give Emma a bath at home anymore, all her grooming needs are taken care of by Groomingbells and when I drop her off I don't even tell Victor what I need done and he knows his stuff and gets it right everytime. Victor has even watched Emma for my family while we went on vacation and when we pick her up she is happy and healthy! He sends updates and pics so that we can enjoy our vacation and not have to worry about Emma. It is always super easy to get an appointment and when I call I feel like I have been taking Emma there for years. First I have to apologize to Victor & his staff... My little huney (Mia) wasn't sooo nice to them. She bit them... not once but a couple of times. I realize how much of a handful all 5 pounds of her was when I saw it first hand. I was really embarrassed & wanted to run for the hills with my dog after all the bites Victor showed me. Victor & his Staff really could have done all the bad things we don't want groomers to do but they didn't. They could even ask me not to come back which I would understand. Victor suggested that I continue to come back so that eventually he & Mia could eventually be friends... I was shocked by this. I'm very pleased with how they handled my difficult 5 pound groomers nightmare of a dog. Victor & his Staff really do make a big effort to do everything they can make the experience as pleasant as possible for my huney & I. I appreciate the time they all took to work with my Yorkie. I would recommend any family/ owner to bring their beloved dog (diffiuclt or not) to grooming bells for sure. My dog and love it here, I took my dog ( black lab) to pet co for 5 years and she always shook when we would head there they told me it's normal and that when she gets in the back she is amazing so I kept going till this last time she was shaking so bad trying so hard to not go in she pooped as we pulled up to PETCO she never had done that before so starting to make me think , also everyone I would go like every 2-3 months the staff was always changing. first time we went to Victor he sat down with my dog and I petting her to let her get to know him explaining the whole process to me, making me feel comfortable. so I gave it a chance, and thank god I did, even the first visit was like night and day Trixie came out not trying to run out or dragging victor to get away or dragging me out the door. victor called my dog back over she cane wagging her tail not scared or anything I was so excited to see the difference. WOW!! VICTOR WAS AMAZING AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB WITH "LEO" Victor was recommened by a friend. I called on Friday after noon and was given an appointment right away. Once at Grooming Bells (in oceanside) Victor asked questions and gave Leo an inspection. I learned that My old Groomer (DD in Lynbrook) never cut or removed Leo's hair in his ear NOR did they EVER cut his NAILS... I felt ashame that I never noticed this before. Thanks Victor for that educational lesson I will never forget it. I learned to take a better look after each grooming experience, thanks to Victor at Grooming Bells. Leo had his nails perfectly cut, he no longer hair hair in his ears, he smelled divine and was relaxed and at ease when I picked him up. Grooming Bells provides you with an app to watch your PET grooming from anywhere on your phone. What an amazing great idea. You can tell they have nothing to hide. Groomingbells is by far the best groomer we have ever gone to. Victor gladly abides by any requests we make for our two schnauzers' haircuts. He is very methodical & thorough. He pays such close attention to detail that he's even made us aware of things we should mention to our vet. Victor consistently calls to remind us when its time to make an appointment, which we greatly appreciate since it can easily be forgotten with busy schedules. The dogs are so well taken care of at Groomingbells by all staff that they excitedly enter the door every time we go. We would not hesitate to use Victor's doggy daycare service the next time we travel. One time when we picked up our dogs there was another couple there who has been traveling from Manhattan all the way to Oceanside for years for Victor's grooming services. My wife and I have been taking our cavatsu to Victor at Groomingbell's for 2 years, and could absolutely not be happier. I brought the dog to many groomers before, and Victor is above and beyond, by far the best i have been to. "Buddy" is always excited to see Victor and his family, and i know that Victor cares very much for all the dogs in the way i see him interact with them. Buddy always leaves completely taken care of and in great spirits. The shop is impeccably clean as well. I completely disagree with these negative posts, as i have never seen anything at all like what is being described. Maria A. is probably right, the negative posters must have this place confused with some other groomers. They are extremely responsible, and will go above and beyond any time they can. I would give them a million stars if I could! Everyone at Groomingbells was so sweet and made me feel really comfortable leaving my little girl there with them to take care of. It was the first time I got my cat groomed and I was so nervous leaving her, not sure how she would react to strangers. I have a long hair Maine coon like cat that had terrible mats and victor and his team cleaned her up so beautifully. Not only is she super clean but she looks absolutely adorable with her new summer cut! She's a really shy and timid cat but she was so extremely happy after her grooming and seemed so comfortable there. I brought both of my dogs this past week and all i can say is WOW! This place is Beautiful and so clean! I live about 20 miniutes from Oceanside and I took the time to drive my dogs all the way here. The workers are so friendly and care about your dog the second you walk in the door. The groomer Sam is absolutely wonderful! He is so sweet and makes sure your dog leaves as clean and pretty as possible! The rest of the staff have such positive energy. After the grooming, my dachshund and Sheppard were smelling great and felt so soft. I can tell by how happy they looked that they were very well taken care of. I would highly reccomend this grooming service to anyone who needed. Thank you Groomingbells for making my dogs feel comfortable and look great for the holidays, i will be back!!!!! read more

We've been taking Ari, our poodle/wheaten terrier mix to Groomingbells for YEARS! Ari loves to be outside and roll around in all the dirt he can find, luckily Victor and his team give Ari the longest baths (with the most wonderful smelling shampoo ever!) at no extra charge. Very easy to make an appointment any time (which is great for my family's busy schedule). When it's time to pick up Ari, we always set up our next appointment for a FREE bath & nail trimming! When we get back home Ari always feels more confident and I know that's because of the way he feels after being groomed at Groomingbells. I've taken my dog, Duncan, to Groomingbells since I got him over a year ago for grooming, nail clipping, and ear cleaning. I know for a fact that whenever I drop him off, Victor and the crew will do an amazing job. I'm 100% confident that Duncan is in good hands, and that he'll come out looking like a million bucks. Groomingbells may cost a bit more than most other dog groomers, but the attention, care, details, and results are more than worth it. Plus, Victor even offered to arrange either a discount for frequent appointments, or a free grooming for every fourth one. I can not say enough about this place or the gentleman who runs it. My poor cat had a nail situation and we phoned in desperation and they said, come on over. The customer service and bedside manner in which they dealt with me and my cat was amazing. The place and staff are kind and professional. They made me feel confident immediately. I have since returned to have the cat bathed and groomed. Once again I was met with warmth and professionalism that seems to be lacking in the world today. But, as they say, we vote with our feet. I've been going to victor since I got my baby milo I was refereed by another one of his clients and I must say I love it there... I can call victor and he will take him at any time without a appointment which is Awsome a lot of places do not do that. Every time I drop Milo to be groomed Milo gets super excited when he sees victor and that lets me know he's being well taken care of and he likes it there. Victor quickly calmed this nervous first time cat Mama's visit to a groomer. Will, my beloved long hair Maine Coon, had become severely matted. He needed a complete shave. Victor explained the process and reassured me Will would feel much better once the mats were removed. He called me a few times during the long process to update me. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to pick him up. I expected him to be 'traumatized' by the process. He was anything but. I had a great experience bringing my old lady Maltese here for grooming. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, and they treated her with such care and patience. She's a senior dog and can be a little nervous, but they made her feel totally at ease. The grooming was perfect--she came out looking clean, fresh, and clearly well cared for. The shop itself was spotless, and the prices were very reasonable for the level of service.
