When I called to book an appt for my mini golden doodle's wash and cut, I spoke with Kelly. She was very nice and helpful in getting all of my information and finding a time for my dog that week. I met the owner Madeleine upon drop off. My doodle had a good amount of matting on her chest and back legs and I expressed how I didn't want her shaved and to try their best to keep her hair as long as possible. Madeleine was honest with me and said it's going to be hard to keep her hair long with such deep matting, but they would try their best. Upon pickup, I was pleasantly surprised to see that my girl's hair was still long and fluffy. It took about 2.5 hours which was the estimated time they told me. The price was also very fair for a mini golden doodle, $95. I've paid up to $180 for cuts that I didn't like as much as this one. My girl looks beautiful and we'll definitely be going back for future haircuts. Mom and pup approved! Thank you, Petscentrix team.

Unprofessional and complete waste of time. Hi, sharing this…read morereview in case you're looking for a new place to take your loved one (pup) - don't bother coming here. When I first called to make the appointment the young lady was kind and accommodating and we discussed in detail the services I would like for my pup. Very simple - bath, trim, cut nails and brushing of the teeth. My appointment was set for 2:30. They called me around noon to ask if I could arrive at 1pm and I accommodated their schedule. The drive is 20 minutes each way for me. When I arrived the woman at the counter was extremely rude and hasty. Speaking to me with a mouth full of food. She didn't greet me and asked for my information by pointing at my dog (6lb Maltese) asking "who's this one?". When I gave her my pups name and confirmed my initial reservation was at 2:30 and I was called to arrive at 1pm she said "okay bath" and I confirmed the services that I agreed upon - while speaking she proceeded to interrupt me and was very rude. If there was some sort of misunderstanding between myself and the woman who made the reservation (which happens - we are all humans) - there are ways of clarifying without being rude. I don't know if this is how this location conducts business. But it is truly unprofessional and ugly for lack of a better word. I'm happy I didn't leave my dog there. Groomers need to understand - we are leaving our beloved dog in your hands, in your care! - how you present yourself is key! This woman gave this business a very poor image and name and I will be sure to express this experience with my community chat to prevent anyone else this complete waste of time. They're providing a service - we are the paying customer. Kindness and respect goes a long way. Not to mention they've wasted 40 minutes of my time and now my dog isn't even groomed. Don't bother coming here. I drove 20 minutes to be spoken to disrespectfully by someone with a mouth full of food.

Stephanie came with her van, and groomed both my Mother-in-law's dog and then our overly dramatic pup. Both dogs came out great. The most caring, kindest, and honest grooming team I've ever met!…read more I was looking to get the family maltese groomed because she's been very long overdue. My family couldn't take her due to the pandemic, her regular groomer going on vacation, and other reasons. She basically had covid hair: long, tangled, and overgrown around her paws. It was very easy to set up an appointment with them by phone call. They'll text you the address, how to get into the house, and will also follow up and remind you of your appointment. You also need to send them records of your dog's vaccinations for the safety of your dog + the other dogs there. Again due to the pandemic, my family also wasn't able to get our dog out to the vet for her annual check-up and booster shots. So I had to reschedule to get her vaccinated first. Jan and her team were so accommodating! They squeezed us in to fit with my schedule. Because Jan's house is actually a house located in a residential area with the business side being accessed by the back gate near the garage, I would recommend parking on the street in front or nearby to get in and out easily. I did see some customers park in her driveway for quick drop offs, but I wanted more time to be able to talk with Jan for our dog's first grooming experience with her. All staff are masked and Jan's house is very clean. I did not feel unsafe at all going into her house. Jan was so gentle and listened to our family's requests about how we would like to get our dog groomed. She explained that she would need to trim shorter due the mats that formed from the longer fur. Mats can be painful to dogs and damaging to their skin, so I appreciated that she kindly explained this to us. Not only that, she explained that some dogs may feel "shy" or "naked" if they haven't been groomed for a long time. Our dog was actually okay and didn't have problems with having less fur, but I still like that she let us know what to possibly expect. They'll give you an estimate of when the dog grooming should be done. They'll also text you about 15-20 minutes before your dog will be ready for pick up. Jan also honestly told us and texted us photo proof that our dog had some preexisting problems: irritated skin and paws and a possible ear infection. She also gave us advice on what to do with family members who love to over feed the dog. Our dog definitely put on weight during the pandemic and my family loves to show love with food. Jan is very knowledgeable and told us what she think might have been the problem with the family dog's paw and skin irritation: my family was not rinsing our dog's fur fully, so leftover shampoo residue ended up irritating her skin. She suggested we mix the dog shampoo with water first to dilute it and then bathe our dog. Not once did I ever feel judged about the state of our dog. Instead she gave us advice in the kindest tone and most caring manner. You could tell that she and her team really love dogs and have tons of experience. I would highly recommend Jan's Dog House!

I have always washed our dogs and never contemplated grooming options until recent mobility challenges prevented me from keeping our big goofy girl clean and fresh. My first concern was to make sure she had a positive experience. She is the kind of goof that needs to hold hands at the vet. This was going to be a brand new experience for her and one we need to continue regularly. I wish I had taken a picture. My dog was not comfortable going inside the mobile salon at first. Instead of firmly coaxing her onboard by her leash, I looked out the window to see the groomer kneeling down, giving love, and some encouraging pets. Just a few moments to reassure and build trust. So many great reasons to choose The Unleashed Groomer: 1) Ease of making and confirming appts. 2) Focused on understanding special needs and requests. 3) Committed to providing an excellent experience and results for both the owner and the pet. I have worked in pet care and welfare, too many services are focused on volume and visual results with little regard to kind treatment and care of their animal clients. The Unleashed Groomer is highly skilled and experienced; but most important, they care about your pet.
