They come right to the house & our pups get all excited as they head to the van to get washed, dried, clipped & trimmed! I have two shih tzus and, knowing how much skill their coats require, I made multiple attempts to call ahead and confirm that this groomer was equipped to handle long-haired breeds. It was difficult to get anyone on the phone, but when I finally spoke to the owner, I was assured that they could manage the job. I explicitly requested a simple trim: faces, ears, and feet Had the owner herself groomed my dogs, perhaps this review wouldn't be necessary. Unfortunately, someone else did -- and the results were beyond unacceptable. I picked them up between work appointments and was in a rush, so I didn't examine them closely until I got in the car. I was stunned. Both of my dogs had bald patches on their faces where there had previously been full coats. Their appearance was so jarring. This was not a minor miscommunication or a matter of preference -- this was a clear lack of skill and care. If you have a long-haired breed and value their grooming look elsewhere. This place is not equipped to handle the job, no matter what they tell you on the phone.
