I took my 8 year old Golden Retriever here for the first time this week. In the past I had taken…read morehim to the 'big store' groomers - Pet Smart - and they told me he needed to go to a private groomer because he was too scared, they couldn't lift a bigger dog, and made all kinds of disappointing excuses for a pup who is known to be gentle and sweet and easy to get along with. I took my buddy to Clarence Groomers and not only did they do an incredible job getting his fur trimmed and shampooed, his nails filed, and other excellent services to get him comfortable and ready for summer, but they were patient and gentle with him, and said he was a sweetheart and easy to work with. When I picked him up he was so handsome and really happy. Heidi and Ashtin were wonderful. You won't regret taking your best furry pal here. They really love animals and take great care of them.

She then called me at home to tell me off since I questioned a customer coming in for an apt. She proceeded to tell me not to come back into her business for she will call the authorities if I do. She would not me get a word in. repeating the same thing she said 5 times when I was in there. I have never been in a business that treated me in the manner she did. I had several Business's and would never call someone who came in asking questions or treating them the way she did. No humility at all! doubt she will make it long in busin- ess. She treats people like this , What will she do to your dog?

For dog grooming, Oh You Dirty Dog! is as good as it gets. We followed Amanda from her former place…read moreof employment to Oh You Dirty Dog! because she does a wonderful job. It was Amanda who discovered while grooming our Bichon something unusual on the skin of his head and neck, it seemed "baggy." She knew of another dog with that condition and believed it indicated dementia. She was exactly correct. Our dear dog lived with doggie dementia another two years, and Amanda groomed him right up until the end, caring for him regardless of his quirks and age. Our other dog was also groomed by Amanda for years, sensitive to the elderly dog and her needs. When she died, Amanda sent a card, just like when our other dog passed away. We introduced our rescued Maltese to Amanda two years ago and this little dog with fear aggression went RIGHT to the dog-whisperer, Amanda! She does an excellent job. Finally, we adopted a standard poodle who is Amanda's newest customer from our household. Patricia, the owner of Oh You Dirty Dog!, is always accommodating, friendly and polite, a great business owner and a great addition to the Village. All prices are reasonable and competitive. For dog bathing, there are a couple of do-it-yourself dog washing stations, should the desire to bathe your own dog appeal to you. They're clean, organized and handy with a ramp to get Fido up to the faucet. All the stuff you need to get the job done is provided. I give Oh You Dirty Dog! and Amanda two paws up! You can trust your pet will come home clean, well groomed and happy. NOTE: Carly did an awesome job on our standard poodle, Gigi in January. Kudos!

Our Coton De Tulear had her 2nd grooming session at Oh You Dirty Dog today. We provide photos of…read morewhat we want Maddie's hair to be cut like on her face, ears, mustache and top of head. There are several positive comments to share. 1. Maddie seems happy to go in and is happy when we pick her up. (YES!!) 2. The groomer is very nice. 3. Price is ok at $60 CASH. The negative is both cuts now, Maddie's head is just cut way to short. It is not even from side to side and the mustache is completely cut off in spite of being told they understood what she should look like. Yes, it will grow back. Yes, we love her no matter her hair cut. BUT -- not what we asked for or how a puppy cut looks on a Coton De Tulear. Conundrum: We have a place that our pup likes yet her haircuts are horrible. Very disappointed.

I normally trim my dogs hair myself... as I have done in the past with my other dogs who have been…read moredifficult, but this time I thought I would let a groomer give it a go. Plus, I am not a professional, I just shave him down, trim him up quickly and he is good to go. This time, I wanted to see how he would look, after having all the works done. Upon a friends recommendation, I set up an appointment with Kathy and let her know that my dog doesn't have too much tolerance for grooming. She and her assistant were very nice and I was assured he was in good hands. Off to work I went. I want to pause to say, their shop is on the small side, but it is pretty neat looking. Upon entering, there were soooo many different breeds of dogs, being groomed and waiting to be groomed. As well as cats! All the animals seemed very content and a lot of wagging tails by the dogs. A little more than halfway through my work shift, they left a message letting me know that they did the best they could, but towards the end of his grooming, he started acting up and became aggressive. As soon as I could, I rushed over there to pick him up and apologized profusely for his behavior. They were very kind and had placed him in a crate with a fan to cool him off and calm him down. Despite my dog being a jerk, they did a wonderful job and even said they were happy to give it another try with him. He looked better than anything I could have ever done with him; smelled nice, nails trimmed and even a cool bandanna. Despite their kind offer, I am not sure I would bring Jack in again, simply because I don't want to torment THEM with another visit from the beast. BUT I would highly recommend Kathy's to any of my friends and if I ever adopted another dog, I would definitely bring him/her in. Kathy is very sincere and you can tell she loves her job. That is exactly what I want to see when I bring a member of my family in to be taken care of. UPDATE! Well, I took Jack back for another try. No problems whatsoever! Courtney, who groomed him that day was excellent. She said they took it slow with him and did things more at his pace... they also came up with different ways to handle him because he isn't a fan of having his paws handled... so this was awesome and I was soo grateful that they take the time and are patient with my grumpy old man. He looked like an adorable puppy again and looked quite spiffy in his bandanna! :) Again, would highly recommend Kathy's. Love how my dog looks and love how they treat him here.

The service was good, my two cats came back great last summer, full shave for both. My main…read morecomplaint is that this business is booked months in advance. Which is unfortunate, and they don't seem interested in expanding this business. Also, it is cash only which is odd. It makes me think things aren't on the up and up.
