Legitimate Outlet with real grocery overstock including hard-to-find gourmet items and oddball products that never sold at grocery stores. Don't confuse Grocery Outlet with the grocery section at places like 99 cent city. Large chains like 99 specialized in items that were factory rejects. I've had several bad experiences at 99 cent city including buying a bag of frozen french fries only to find when opening the bag it was all broken pieces. This Fallbrook location, like most others, pretty much sell the exact same items. But not always. Sometimes there are a few product found nowhere else. - This place has huge banners saying "now open", but it's been opened since 2017. - Bathroom doors are locked. You have to get the long black stick with the key from register 1.

On the way back from a wine buying trip to Temecula, I decided to visit Fallbrook for the first time. That's when I saw this Grocery Outlet, and we decided to check it out ... especially to see if they had any wines that we don't see in our Grocery Outlets in San Diego. And we did! We discovered two wines that we bought to try ... and we picked up a few other grocery items we needed. But back to the wine. One of them was Luxury Edition Pink Pinot Noir Rose. This turned out to be a perfectly balanced sparkling rose made in the Veneto region of Italy. After we tried it at home, we called around our local Grocery Outlets to purchase more, but none of them had it. So ... I called Fallbrook. They had four cases, and they would hold them for me. We drove back up the next day, and our cases were waiting for us. The service was exceptional. COVID-19 precautions are quite evident, from sanitizing carts to requiring masks and physical distancing. Parking was fine in the shared lot.

The best deal around. A hidden gem for those who want the same items at a fraction of the cost. The staff are so friendly and helpful.

Great prices and I like the selection of Organic items, but I would like to see a Trader Joes or Sprouts in Fallbrook.

Ask the Community - Grocery Outlet

This is part of a German conglamerate, is it not?

You might be thinking of Aldi, related to Trader Joe's, at least in the past. As a company, I'd say Grocery Outlet is better because they treat their employees better. Their employees are awesome and so are the deals.…

As a kid I didn't like going here because I didn't think it was as "nice" as Lucky's (aka Albertson's)...how wrong I was!!! Major Market is so much better than Albertsons by a long shot. The produce is better, the hot food is better, and they have a lot of niche/local baked goods that you can't find in most mainstream grocery stores. Not only that but the prices are not too bad, especially for an independent grocery. Unfortunately the last time I visited here, I didn't see that many people. My mom told me that less people have been shopping here and are opting for the Grocery Outlet down the street. As much as I love Grocery Outlet, that makes me sad. Honestly if I lived in Fallbrook, I'd try to come to Major Market more! Love this place!

Despite buyouts and transitions, not a single ounce of investment or modern renovation has touched its tired, scuffed floors or dim aisles. Pricewise, it misses the mark entirely: it matches or exceeds the cost of standard chains like Albertsons, Vons, and Ralphs, yet offers none of their clean reliability--and stands miles behind the vibrant, sunlit energy of a market like Sprouts. We want to love our local options. We want to support Fallbrook. But walking through those doors takes a quiet, low-grade toll on your mental health. Proximity means nothing when the environment drains your energy before you even reach the checkout line. Do yourself a favor: skip the quiet compromise of convenience. Either go to Albertsons, or happily make the drive up to Temecula or down to Vista and Oceanside to shop somewhere like Sprouts or Frazier Farms. Trading a stagnant, depressing errand for clean aisles, fresh products, and actual customer service isn't just better for your pantry--it's an act of self-care for your peace of mind.

Also, packaged foods can be regular or high priced, depending on what they are. You have to look for bargains. Other fresh foods that I don't normally eat can also be cheap. One great thing about this place is that you can buy hot Mexican food and eat it there or take it with you. They also have guac, salsa, and serviche. I especially love that when I have my haul and need help with getting it into the car, they help happily. I like this store. If the packaged foods were a bit cheaper, I'd like it more, but I'm not complaining.

I've tried every bakery in Northern County and nothing compares to what we had this past September! It's perfectly moist and firm, which is not easy to do and most places don't do it right and it ends up dripping with milk and gets really mushy. This one was perfection and is now the only place we will ever go to! We celebrated our birthdays together with the family since we're only 5 days apart and I don't care about cake. I have to say that, even though I usually don't eat sweets, even I had a slice as everyone raved about it!
