Honestly. I've never been so upset. I have lived here my entire life. I grew up coming to this store with my mom. Whenever I need something last minute I always come here even though people give it a low rating. It's my home town so I try to support. I've never had a bad experience with the people that work here until today. Today I came for socks and shoes for my 6 year old around 2 pm. (Kids get out of school 2:30) I bought low top vans size 11 and socks and went straight to their school to pick them up. Got home at 2:45. My child tried on ONEEEE shoe on my carpet bedroom floor had it on for less than a minute and immediately took it off after I felt his toes realizing they were too tight. (Did not touchhh the other shoe it was still wrapped just like this photo in the box ) went back to C&C told him I'd like to exchange and had my 6yo son with me. It's 3pm by this point. The son of the owner opened the box.. he checked the top shoe out.. then proceeded to unwrap the second shoe and again started looking in the shoe, outside, underneath all while I'm standing there... with my child . As he's doing this people start getting in line behind me ... finally, he says to me "alright I'm going to tell you something." I said sure . He said "I'm going to let you exchange these but when I sold you these they didn't have scuff marks all over them" I told him all we did was try one shoe on and came here ... (it had literally been like 30 mins since I bought it, and 15 mins since my kid got out of school and tried it on) and he proceeded to scold me telling me otherwise saying how there are marks on them.. when I never even pulled out the second shoe ... all in front of my kid and the people in line! Like are you kidding me. How dare you treat me like I am a liar. Especially in front of others. He let me exchange them after he ended up saying "Don't let this happen again!" Excuse me ? What? Sit on carpet nicely , carefully trying ONE SHOE ON and then exchanging them right away? I've never felt so embarrassed, treating me like I did something wrong. These people are SCAMMERS!! I went in for some hair clips on a rush and when it came time to pay, this lady ran my card 3 times after saying it kept declining. I ended up paying cash the 4th time just to find out, she fully charged my card the first 3 times! I went back to let her know and she of course she denied it even after me showing her the transactions on my statement. My bank was able to take care of it for me but it's not right what these people do. I've always wondered how they stay in business after very few, unsatisfied customers. Went into the store immediately hearing the owner talk down on someone who parked out of the line, he proceeded to talk about it to other costumers in the store and take pictures of the car and openly express his hatred for fallbrook drivers. I did my shopping and left come to realize the person he was talking about was me I backed in and didn't realize how crappy I parked so I will admit that. I would've even reparked had I realized. What's sad is that it wasn't the first time I heard the owner gossiping about people in the store. Its funny because he acknowledged me as I walked in so he definitely knew I was a shopper. I get retail sucks sometimes to work and people can be awful but that truely was a shock. I was parked in front of this man store for less than 10 minutes and he threatened me so much to the fact that I have made a police report. He was angry because he said I parked in his parking spot so I told him to call the police but he did not want to call the police because he knows the police would do nothing so instead he cursed at me put his hand up like he was going to hit me and got in my face. His wife also yelled at me and got in my face. My son and I were 10 minutes in the dollar tree and I can prove it. I am utterly disappointed that this community would stand for someone to be so hateful and have so many horrible reviews. I have been in the store in the past and it is full of junk it's stinks and the owners are so very rude. Worst customer experience I've ever had. When I bought stuff here, I knew it was a cheap, lower-quality store. I had no idea how bad it really was. The $20 purse I bought here fell apart to SHREDS only a month after owning it. The outer lining fell right off. And each time, the owners stare me down and rush me out. Today I had a handful of things I was going to buy and the owner spoke to me in Spanish, assuming I spoke Spanish (which I don't) and told me he was busy and had somewhere to go so he needed to close his shop now. Rude owner, don't shop there. Owner accused me of shoplifting, while I was shopping. I had taken a reusable bag in for my purchases. Because, they charge for plastic bags, even though they don't sell food.I had only socks in the bag. I was looking at t-shirts. The owner approached me asked to look in my purse and reusable bag. I showed him. He grabbed my reusable bag, removed the socks. He told me I was stealing, to get out and he will put me photo up. I told him that is my reusable bag and those are my purchase. He continued to tell me to get out. I asked him to call the police because I want to settle this, I don't steal. He just said "get out." I told him I will never shop here again! Many people have told me how RUDE the owners are. Never again. If he puts my photo up, I will take legal action. read more

My 13 year old daughter saved her babysitting money and purchased a mask at C&C Discount Store for her first dance, which had a masquerade theme. She paid $27.99 (plus tax) for the mask. She paid so much because she wanted a special memento of the formal event she was headed to. On the way to the dance, the mask broke in half! My husband and daughter went to C & C the next day, with the receipt in hand, to get store credit for the mask (since they don't offer cash refunds). The lady/owner there refused any credit at all and claimed that my daughter broke the mask on purpose! My husband tried to explain, but the woman was irrational. All this time my daughter was quiet because my husband told her not to talk. I thought I'd have better luck the next day. When I walked in, the same woman was there. She seemed pleasant enough until I showed her the mask. Then she became irate - called my daughter a punk and said we are a "bad family", among other things...An employee (a young woman) told me she completely understood but she wasn't able to help. Probably didn't want to lose her job. This place should be shut down! I have no idea how they stay in business as it is, the stuff is mostly raunchy, sleezy clothes - all with high prices. I'm sorry my daughter had to go through this experience but I'm sure she's learned a valuable lesson from it. I walked in here for a boys white dress shirt. The boy for whom I was buying it for was not with me. I asked if it didn't fit, could I exchange it. And the owner said no. I had to have my sister bring the boy down to try it on. My two kids were with me and they were laughing, being kids. They weren't touching any merchandise and when they attempted to i would immediately tell them to stop. We were by the try on rooms and the owner came up to me and told me to keep it down. He was bothered by my kids laughing, keep in mind they were next to me waiting for their cousin t try on the shirt. They weren't touching his merchandise. I told him that we would try but kids are kids and you can only control them so much. He was so rude to me and made some remarks as he walked away from us. I couldn't understand him because he had a heavy Asian accent. When we went to pay for the shirt we picked out, he was as so pissed off and frustrated.
