Honestly. I've never been so upset. I have lived here my entire life. I grew up coming to this…read morestore with my mom. Whenever I need something last minute I always come here even though people give it a low rating. It's my home town so I try to support. I've never had a bad experience with the people that work here until today. Today I came for socks and shoes for my 6 year old around 2 pm. (Kids get out of school 2:30) I bought low top vans size 11 and socks and went straight to their school to pick them up. Got home at 2:45. My child tried on ONEEEE shoe on my carpet bedroom floor had it on for less than a minute and immediately took it off after I felt his toes realizing they were too tight. (Did not touchhh the other shoe it was still wrapped just like this photo in the box ) went back to C&C told him I'd like to exchange and had my 6yo son with me. It's 3pm by this point. The son of the owner opened the box.. he checked the top shoe out.. then proceeded to unwrap the second shoe and again started looking in the shoe, outside, underneath all while I'm standing there... with my child . As he's doing this people start getting in line behind me ... finally, he says to me "alright I'm going to tell you something." I said sure . He said "I'm going to let you exchange these but when I sold you these they didn't have scuff marks all over them" I told him all we did was try one shoe on and came here ... (it had literally been like 30 mins since I bought it, and 15 mins since my kid got out of school and tried it on) and he proceeded to scold me telling me otherwise saying how there are marks on them.. when I never even pulled out the second shoe ... all in front of my kid and the people in line! Like are you kidding me. How dare you treat me like I am a liar. Especially in front of others. He let me exchange them after he ended up saying "Don't let this happen again!" Excuse me ? What? Sit on carpet nicely , carefully trying ONE SHOE ON and then exchanging them right away? I've never felt so embarrassed, treating me like I did something wrong. I've tried so hard to be happy with this place. Not anymore.

These people are SCAMMERS!! I went in for some hair clips on a rush and when it came time to pay,…read morethis lady ran my card 3 times after saying it kept declining. I ended up paying cash the 4th time just to find out, she fully charged my card the first 3 times! I went back to let her know and she of course she denied it even after me showing her the transactions on my statement. My bank was able to take care of it for me but it's not right what these people do. I've always wondered how they stay in business after very few, unsatisfied customers. But now I know, definitely stay away from these scammers.

This new location is more visible from the main street so this is a positive. We love Kauai so we had to come and check out the store. We were fortunate to meet the kind owners Pinky and her husband, Ed. My husband gravitated towards the men's Hawaiian shirts and I towards the snacks. Of course, I checked out all they had to offer in the store. We walked out with with a bag that contained mens Hawaiian shirts, sarong, gift items and snacks. Very happy with our purchase especially my husband. He was able to find the same brand (Tori Richard) shirt he bought in Kauai. On the pricey side, but very good quality. I recently went to visit the store again to see what new merchandise is in. I purchased a cute dress, a natural bug repellent, a shirt for my hula class (that Pinky teaches). They added a mosaic seating table in the middle of the store. It's gorgeous. They sell the large, beautiful umbrella that is displayed with the mosaic table. There is a line of skin care made with natural and chemical free ingredients. There's a lot to look at in the store, some that you won't find in a box store which makes for a fun or unique gift. Come check them out and get a warm welcome at the same time.

Living in Fallbrook never did I think I would find Hawaii in my back yard. My husband loves Hawaii. We thrive on the culture. Came to West Kauai Sun, and felt like I was back in Ohau, the minute I walked into this boutique. Pinky native of Hawaii, has nailed the vibes and atmosphere and the line of products she carries that you can find in Hawaii, from little gifts, to native foods to Hawaii, to Hawaiian shirts for men and women, some are brand new and some are refurbished to make them unique and beautiful again. She has seashells for sale, she has a constant video going over the islands. Makes you feel like your in Hawaii. She offers paint and sip classes, and Hula Dancing classes on Sundays. Also teaches how to make Lei's. This place is amazing. If your looking for items that bring back memories of the islands, this is the place to go, very reasonable prices.
