Many of my neighbors are also interested in hiring this company. It has taken a little longer than expected because of their thoroughness in replacing damaged or termite damaged wood (house was tented 2 years ago). They are painting the facia board they have replaced and are doing everything up to code and took the time to pull all permits (as all companies should do). I couldn't be more satisfied with their work and highly recommend them. Very friendly and a pleasure to work with. My husband and I absolutely loved our experience with Scudder Roofing. Our experience could not…read morehave been better. The people at Scudders used excellent quality materials, with experienced workers, and are very nice, patient, friendly, hardworking, professional, and kept their word. Our roof looks simply fabulous. We first met with Javier, Project Consultant, who explained the process, styles of roofing, potential costs, estimated time to do the job, warranties, payment schedule, and much more. As we were emailed the 19 page contract, and more, I read every word and had numerous questions. I wanted clarity of the contract and did not want any misunderstandings. (I appreciated that everything was in writing, as opposed to a well-known painting company that we had recently dealt with, who gave no paperwork and not only changed what was agreed upon, but did not finish the job.) Javier met with us and patiently answered every question. Really a nice guy. We also met a week prior to our start date of the job with Jaime, Project Manager, to discuss outside and inside protection issues of our plants, trees, and inside wall hangings etc., along with the projected daily schedule. Jaime and his men were always on time, working hard each day, practiced COVID manners, took their appropriate and needed breaks during our hot weather, kept me updated, patiently answered all of my questions, and cleaned up at every day's end. Jaime is a man of integrity for his work and respecting the owner's home. We have a very high challenging roof with different pitches. I would call it a very scary roof to work on and it is why we waited so long to have our roof redone. I thought it a potential accident waiting to happen, but they tackled it with high skill. Anytime that I had questions for the office, I loved, Janet, Connie, and Jen answering the phone with their friendly quick and polite assistance. Martha with the accounting department was the best to put it mildly. Scudders finished to the day that they had said initially it would take, and followed up quickly with their warranty paper work on our roof. They lived up to their word from the very start through to the end. I can't imagine our roof looking any nicer. We could not be happier. Tom and Constance

I am more than unhappy with Scudder Roofing. Completely aside from how nice they may be and how…read moreprofessional they appear, they sold my 89 year old aunt a 50-60 year, top of the line new roof. Now you tell me, what does an 89 year old need with a 50 year roof? It sounds like deliberate deception to me and may even qualify as elder abuse. She was hit with a bill for $49,000 and change and had to take a good deal of money out her IRA and put the rest on a charge card which, if she made the minimum payment each month, would take her 30 years to pay off. Avoid this company and tell your friends.

He had told me $400 over the phone, then wrote the bill for $600... Sorry, I'm not paying any more than what's agreed, so it ended up staying at $400. Next rain storm... big shocker.... roof is leaking again. I called him and he said he would come out next Tuesday... Tuesday came and gone, no Gary. That brings us to today, just got off the phone with him. He said he has jobs planned for the rest of the week and can't get out until next week. What about my roof like you had said last week? There is rain in the forecast. When I started to complain he hung up the phone. Stay away from Gary, bad service, and even worse customer service.

I got a few…read moreestimates and his was somewhere in the middle (not the cheapest an also not the most expensive). Pedro explained the process and and also explained the costs and things that might have to be replaced. I also wanted to have some holes cut for skylights and vents and while their company does not do any interior type work, they put the outside parts of the skylights and the new vents in for me exactly where I asked (Pedro even helped me figure out a spot for the kitchen vent when we discovered the location I wanted was too close to a pipe). The time estimate Pedro gave was roughly 10 business days but he and his guys managed to finish a day early, which was great because being in a house while the roof is being put on is awful. I was very impressed by how well the whole operation was coordinated, with the guys work and material arrival and trash removal and running like a well oiled machine. There was also at least one occasion where Pedro did some inspections and made his guys redo something. I don't know exactly what it was but I saw him pointing and talking to his guy and then the guy went and undid a section by the edge of the roof and put new material down. Knowing that Pedro was inspecting for mistakes and making sure his guys did things exactly the way he wanted them done was comforting to know that he was paying attention the quality of the work. Overall the roof looks very nice and I'm very happy with the work, and I would definitely recommend Pedro and his team!

They outperform the various local roofing companies we have used over the past eight years on our antique Spanish tile roof by a mile! Monique and Kasey are responsive and professional. They get the job done in a timely manner and get it done correctly the first time. The roofers working on the job are knowledgeable and courteous. They take every precaution, like putting foam pads on the tile roof before they walk on it to prevent any further breakage of the tiles. I cannot tell you how many other roofing companies just walked on our roof without any regard to further damage, breaking tiles as they did their inspection and then billing me for the tiles that they broke. Dority Roofing did a much needed full inspection of our roof last year and, when they finished, it was like a brand new roof, with every issue repaired perfectly. After the recent storms, they returned promptly and took care of all of the storm damage flawlessly and efficiently. They are true professionals, extremely reliable and a pleasure to work with!
