My husband and I absolutely loved our experience with Scudder Roofing. Our experience could not…read morehave been better. The people at Scudders used excellent quality materials, with experienced workers, and are very nice, patient, friendly, hardworking, professional, and kept their word. Our roof looks simply fabulous. We first met with Javier, Project Consultant, who explained the process, styles of roofing, potential costs, estimated time to do the job, warranties, payment schedule, and much more. As we were emailed the 19 page contract, and more, I read every word and had numerous questions. I wanted clarity of the contract and did not want any misunderstandings. (I appreciated that everything was in writing, as opposed to a well-known painting company that we had recently dealt with, who gave no paperwork and not only changed what was agreed upon, but did not finish the job.) Javier met with us and patiently answered every question. Really a nice guy. We also met a week prior to our start date of the job with Jaime, Project Manager, to discuss outside and inside protection issues of our plants, trees, and inside wall hangings etc., along with the projected daily schedule. Jaime and his men were always on time, working hard each day, practiced COVID manners, took their appropriate and needed breaks during our hot weather, kept me updated, patiently answered all of my questions, and cleaned up at every day's end. Jaime is a man of integrity for his work and respecting the owner's home. We have a very high challenging roof with different pitches. I would call it a very scary roof to work on and it is why we waited so long to have our roof redone. I thought it a potential accident waiting to happen, but they tackled it with high skill. Anytime that I had questions for the office, I loved, Janet, Connie, and Jen answering the phone with their friendly quick and polite assistance. Martha with the accounting department was the best to put it mildly. Scudders finished to the day that they had said initially it would take, and followed up quickly with their warranty paper work on our roof. They lived up to their word from the very start through to the end. I can't imagine our roof looking any nicer. We could not be happier. Tom and Constance

I am more than unhappy with Scudder Roofing. Completely aside from how nice they may be and how…read moreprofessional they appear, they sold my 89 year old aunt a 50-60 year, top of the line new roof. Now you tell me, what does an 89 year old need with a 50 year roof? It sounds like deliberate deception to me and may even qualify as elder abuse. She was hit with a bill for $49,000 and change and had to take a good deal of money out her IRA and put the rest on a charge card which, if she made the minimum payment each month, would take her 30 years to pay off. While the other contractors insisted on replacing an entire section of the roof, Jose explained how it could be properly repaired without unnecessary replacement. I highly recommend working with Jose.

He was even able to fit me in during Thanksgiving week once the inspector provided the tear-off date, which I really appreciated. His pricing was fair and included both a factory warranty and a workmanship warranty, which gave me extra peace of mind. During final inspection, a few issues came up that were unrelated to the roof itself. Jose stepped up and took care of everything, bringing it all up to code and making sure the job was fully approved. I highly recommend him if you're looking for someone reliable, knowledgeable, and who stands behind his work.

Pedro explained the process and and also explained the costs and things that might have to be replaced. I also wanted to have some holes cut for skylights and vents and while their company does not do any interior type work, they put the outside parts of the skylights and the new vents in for me exactly where I asked (Pedro even helped me figure out a spot for the kitchen vent when we discovered the location I wanted was too close to a pipe). The time estimate Pedro gave was roughly 10 business days but he and his guys managed to finish a day early, which was great because being in a house while the roof is being put on is awful. I was very impressed by how well the whole operation was coordinated, with the guys work and material arrival and trash removal and running like a well oiled machine. There was also at least one occasion where Pedro did some inspections and made his guys redo something. I don't know exactly what it was but I saw him pointing and talking to his guy and then the guy went and undid a section by the edge of the roof and put new material down. Knowing that Pedro was inspecting for mistakes and making sure his guys did things exactly the way he wanted them done was comforting to know that he was paying attention the quality of the work. Overall the roof looks very nice and I'm very happy with the work, and I would definitely recommend Pedro and his team!

I was to discover it really was a "We mean business" referral. Keith Larsen came out, spent considerable time inspecting my large tiled roof and made many detailed notes accompanied by pictures. He also recommended additional work to preserve the integrity of the roof. I decided to have them do the work listed in the report, as well as install vents which the roof did not have. The team came out the next week and completed every item on the list. They were even able to replace some broken and loose tiles with ones removed to install the vents, leaving the roof both clean and with a uniform look. Some three months later I needed some paperwork for an accounting issue and contacted Ross Solar for an updated invoice. To my surprise and delight, my email got a response in 30 minutes with precisely the information I needed. Thorough work. Prompt service and scheduling. Outstanding record-keeping. This was my experience with Ross Roofing & Solar.
