    $78 worth of disappointment
    Saynara W.

This place will have you thinking when you go there that the food is awesome!!! The food has absolutely no taste, season anything!!! It's bland Tex mex food that you can probably get at Chili's but with a higher price tag!! I ordered a skinny margarita which was horrible they put soda water on top of the skinny margarita!!! It was suppose to be 16oz for $15 when I told them take the soda water off it was way less than 16oz for $15. My boyfriend ordered the fajita which only came out with onions so red nor green bell peppers. The only thing that had some sort of flavor was the shrimp empanadas!!! I had the enchiladas with the red sauce it tasted like can chilli you buy from the grocery store on top of the enchiladas!!!! Overall the staff was nice but the food and drinks were horrible!!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Family-friendly Tex mex![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu has plenty of options. Food was pretty good. I had the ribeye steak tacos which were great! My husband got the taco salad which was ok...wish it had more flavor and spice. The wait time can take a while though so would recommend planning ahead for that. Overall good pick for family night.

The avocado salsa is the best!

Gringo's was really busy on a Friday around 12:30 pm but we were greeted and seated right away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was bright and nicely decorated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. The green avocado salsa is so good! My husband and I shared the mariachi which came with rice, beans, 2 each of chicken enchiladas, chicken taquitos and southwest egg rolls. The chicken in each item was tender and flavorful. Everything was delicious!

Visited this locale after 10 years while on a business trip back to my beloved Houston. I had to try my favorite burger, the La Bomb-bah burger. It was just as good now as it was then. Absolutely one of the best burgers out there. No wait, despite it being lunch time and the service was quick and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated giving it a familial ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend you give Gringo's a try!

I have never ordered the Fish Taco's.... WTH was I thinking??? They are amazing!!! But to add the best charro beans ever "eat your heart out Lupe's Tortilla" and really tasty rice on one side to a fresh cucumber salad on the other side the whole plate is a taste sensation not to be missed!!! We came in for the $5 margs and $7 Cadillac margs and will leaving totally satisfied with the afternoon .., treat yourself today!!!

    Amazon Wrap (Steak)
    Sophie T.

As a Pearland native, I may be biased in saying that Gringo's is the best Tex-Mex restaurant ever, but honestly I couldn't care less because that's exactly what I believe. Even with the huge crowds they get every day of the week, the food remains high-quality, the service stays quick, and the overall dining experiences are consistently satisfying. I think it's admirable that after all these years of coming here since I was a little girl, they've managed to maintain the same level of quality, and if anything, they've only improved. My go-to favorite is the Amazon Wrap with steak. It's always beautifully presented, the steak is perfectly cooked, and the lettuce, tomato, and other toppings keep it light and refreshing instead of heavy. The tortilla strips inside add the perfect crunch to balance what could otherwise be a chewy wrap. I also love drizzling on the complimentary green sauce that comes with the chips or asking for extra Amazon sauce because both pair with the wrap so well. Truly, there is nothing wrong with this dish, and I've successfully put all my friends onto ordering it. While I usually stick to the Amazon Wrap, Gringo's has plenty of other delicious options, including the steak fajitas, the quesadillas, and even a surprisingly good burger. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, Gringo's continues to be a comfort spot for my family and me, and it never fails to deliver.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you want reliable Tex-Mex with great service and consistently good food, this is absolutely the place to go.

Had a good time at Gringos! Living in Pearland, we're always looking for Mexican food. The only issue with some of the restaurants is limited vegetarian food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we got to Gingos we were seated, on a 6:30pm weekday, it was shockingly packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated in this very small two seated booth with barely a walkway as there was a huge party with a high chair in the walkway. It was near the restrooms and kitchen![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the frozen margarita with the mango and strawberry and it was huge! Huge and delicious! We then ordered, I got vegetarian enchiladas with the tomato sauce and it came out in a timely manner, however came with the white sauce which the waiter mentioned when he gave me my plate. I was fine with it since the sauce was vegetarian too. The enchiladas were good! Honestly nothing too special, just another Mexican restaurant. Service is average, foods average, etc. they probably do have more meat heavy options that may be better than veggie options.

Friendly staff. Yummy food. Totally hit the spot for Tex-Mex enchiladas cravings. You can never go wrong with ordering any of their items!

    Skirt steak fajitas
    Stanley S.

One of the most reliable tex mex chains in Houston. It's our long standing tradition for us to go to the original location in Pearland and we have never had a subpar experience. Highly recommend their skirt steak fajitas ( or any dish with steak) which are marinated and super tender. We also recently tried their Al pastor rice bowl and excellent Southwestern eggroll apps. Service is always excellent despite it being super busy on weekends and nights. Don't let the name throw you off the food has tons of flavor and spices and it ain't just for gringos :)

Pick up picking up in order. The employee recommends the cadillac margarita. The Food smells really good.I went into the place and they had a specific place for pickup, so I had to leave the premises and go around the corner other than that.[[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm looks very family oriented a little more upper class. If you want to get a good time classy date or family , this looks cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I had not been to this location in 10 years. Met a friend for lunch so she could see my African trip pictures. The food was as great as always. I decided to get something different. I ordered the POLLO MARISCO shrimp & crawfish tails, sautéed to order in creamy white wine sauce atop a grilled chicken breast, cucumber relish. It was totally delicious! Everything was excellent! Whenever we walked in for dinner around half the tables were full of people and service was still very fast. The interior of the restaurant is nice but nothing too standout from other Chinese restaurants. We got cream cheese puffs, house spicy wide noodle soup, a chicken dish, soup dumplings, cream baos , and a fish dish, and all of it was fairly good. My least favorite was the cheese puffs, which were incredibly hot but I didn't find much very special about either the filling nor the crunchy wrapper. My next critique is their handmade noodles. It is personal preference, but I prefer my noodles to be a lot more chewy and on the more al dente side of things, rather than the more soft noodles we got (both the wide and the original noodles). As for what I liked, it was just about everything else we got. The house noodle soup was nice and comforting, not being super heavy but still carrying good flavor (I would ask for the regular version and add in spice after tasting the broth). Both the fish and chicken dishes that we got were very interesting and I especially enjoyed the lightness of the fish dish. The soup dumplings we got were very flavorful, well balanced, and had a very bouncy yet soft wrapper texture. The cream baos, though admittedly lacking some vanilla and texture consistency across each bao, were still really good and comparable to ones you'd find in Bellaire. Overall, my experience was fairly good and I would go here again if I find myself in the Pearland area.

Family owned restaurants always have a special place in my heart as my parents were one when I was growing up. The decor isn't the most aesthetic, but what made this place special are the authentic food items they have. It is a mix of Taiwanese, Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese, and Korean dishes. For appetizer, I ordered the Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken. It was crispy. The flavors of the Thai basils were almost nonexistent, and the flavor was not really there, compare to other places I had. The bowl of the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup was massive. Both my palms fit on top of the bowl! It came with green onions and bok choy on top. It traditionally comes with mustard greens, but this one didn't. The flavor for this noodle soup was spectacular! It does have mild spice level. Service was lovely. Overall, I would come back here again if I ever crave authentic Asian food and don't feel like driving all the way in Bellaire. Next time I will be back to try the other cuisines that they have. Wishing them good luck and prosperity in their business!

The food overall was flavorful and fresh. The noodles were cooked well and had a nice balance of sauce without being too heavy. The sweet & sour pork had that classic crispy texture with a bold sauce. The crab cheese puffs were decent crispy on the outside and creamy inside but I do wish they had a little more crab flavor to really elevate them. One small detail I loved: the to-go bags. They were sturdy, well-designed, and matched the restaurant's aesthetic definitely gives that extra polished touch. Overall: Great service, solid food, and good value. Perfect for a casual takeout spot when you want something quick but still quality.
