I was looking for a co-working space so I applied what is my usual amount of research and obsession, which means, intense spread sheets (I am happy to share it, just message me) dissecting every aspect of the cost, experience, amenities, location and people ( I know, rude). I did trials or tours at about 15 spaces; three I walked out of after an hour and another I left after a day even though I had a week trial. Sometimes that's all you need. So my point is, I have been up and down, left and right on co-working spaces. In the end, I choose this location of Grind. Here are some of the reasons (other co-working spaces take heed): 1. Layout means LOTS of natural light for virtually everyone in the space 2. Wifi is good/reliable 3. There are outlets at every seat, in the table! 4. Spa water and loose tea you can make yourself (I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but they have that too, and cold brew, which is my fav if I have to drink coffee) 5. When I first came they had iced tea, which I hope to see again soon 6. Modern everything, nothing cutesy vintage which is just fancy speak for uncomfortable and old 7. LOTS of telephone rooms 8. Locker included, no lock required 9. For me the location is great, near whole foods, which is dangerous/awesome and actually I choose this one over places that were within walking distance to my house. 10. Melissa the community manager is great! Super attentive. I have sent a lots of emails to spaces and sometimes never hear back. Not a great way to attract new clients. 11. Poke stops outside mean I can play Pokemon when I should be working (I'm the worst) 12. Bathrooms are pristinely clean, look like those at fancy tech companies 13. I have not tried the nap pod things but these are indicative of the overall thoughtfulness that went into the design and execution of this space. I think my only suggestion is maybe be pet friendly? That seems to be common in co-working spaces, though its not a deal breaker for me, obviously. read more
