The tech called and said it would be $850 plus $95 service fee so I called a friend who owns a company 150 miles away and said what should this cost to have my unit cleaned . He said $99-$175! ‍ So I put on Facebook any recommendations and got a one man show company that came and cleaned for $99 and no service charge fee. ‍‍‍ I do have to say when I called SOS to cancel my appointment to repair they waived the service charge fee after looking at my scenario so the company does have some good employees.

The capacitor had failed and required replacement and I concurred with him that changing the contactor was prudent as well (18+ years of cycling on & off, why not?) I called his number at 0800, Mike called at 0946, showed a few minutes later. He was done & driving away by 1030. System fixed, washed down and blowing cold air. I couldn't be happier.

Kevin (the inspector) was very knowledgeable and answered all of my random questions that came from being a first time homebuyer. I had called these guys to my home in Harrisville about a month ago on an emergency. They came in a flash to our rescue and signed us up for a maintenance plan. Brycen was great and made what I thought was going to be a home re-finance job into something we were able to handle. So today, Tony came by for an inspection and made sure my sister's HVAC system was running as it should. I had her sign up for the same plan as ours. Tony was also very friendly and reassuring. Being senior citizens, sometimes we are not treated well - but these guys? They made us feel special and that's a big deal to us. Tony was not rushed and explained everything to us. I have dealt with one of the "BIG GUYS HVAC" companies in the past, and was very disenchanted with the whole scare tactics they employed. Tony, like Brycen, made this such a pleasant experience and I hope the company owner is proud of the team he has working for him. I highly recommend this company, they are the best.

Stay away! I wish I read all these 1 star reviews before I called them. Total…read morepredatory/overbilling, lying company. One of our AC units was struggling to keep up with the 100+ degree temps. Unit kept kicking on and off and would only cool down to 81 degrees in the house. I worked for an AC manufacturer for a year, right out of college. The basics haven't changed. I figured it was 1 of 2 things, either a bad capacitor or low on freon. Turns out it was both. Capacitor wasn't completely shot, but getting there. I asked up front how much a freon top off would be. $379.00. Steep, but I can't do it myself because you need a license to even buy freon. The capacitor is $8.99 on Amazon for the exact same part/brand. I'm sure they buy it cheaper. Tech (I gave him $20.00 cash, up front to not rip me off) told me it was $80.00 to replace the capacitor. Takes less than 3 minutes to walk to the truck and back to get the part and 20 seconds to plug it in. Again, I could do it myself, but he was here, so I let him. Bill should've been $461. Nope. Chris charged me $638.00. The discrepancy? They charge you for another $200.00 service call to replace the capacitor!!! Even though the tech is here! Total rip off. So, to recap if you call them and they come out and add freon and leave, it's 379.00. If you call them the next day and a guy comes out to replace the capacitor and leaves, it's $280.00. But crooked Any Hour charges you for two services calls to do different things when they only came out once. I'm betting that if it needed something else it would be the cost of the part, the time to replace it AND ANOTHER $200.00 service call. AND they don't give you a invoice broken down between parts, labor, jobs, etc. Only 1 total invoice with a fat charge. I tried to cancel my credit card charge, but they run it immediately. A sure sign that their ripoff business model is purposeful. Tell everyone to stay away from this corrupt company.
