The floors are uneven, with dips and grooves everywhere. The finish is shiny in some places and matte in others, with visible application marks. The shoe molding is crooked and improperly installed in some places. There is also damage to the door frames and walls. They installed the faucet incorrectly and the drawer would not close because it hit the drain pipe. Which was never an issue in the thirty years we lived in the house. Notified Fireplace & Granite immediately and sent photos and then a video they requested because they were too busy to come see the issue. Days went by with no response. We ended up hiring a plumber to adjust the faucet drain pipe. Our salesman (Travis) instructed us to pay the bill and said they would send a check to cover the repairs. Then nothing but excuses when we asked about the refund. "Only the owner can sign checks and he's on vacation. He will send a check when he get's back in town." Months later and still and no reimbursement. Now they don't bother replying to inquiries. Buyer beware.

I am the original person who…read moreadded this business on Yelp and my initial review was somehow removed...but future customers need to know what actually occurred and my personal experience with Shane & Alex. PROJECT LEFT UNFINISHED & TIME WASTED! A complaint has been filed against DJO Home with the Better Business Bureau. We had someone come out to our come in July, twice, to do an estimate for a fence staining project. They sent us the contract and we sent them 50% deposit. They started the project in September and two days later everything went downhill from there. The same guy who took the estimate, Shane, was working on the fence staining. He called me two days into the project to let me know that most of the front of the fence was completed, however, he requested more money to complete the inside of the fence since he underestimated the project cost. The day after this conversation, he called in "sick" with food poisoning. My conversations (via phone, text, and thumbtack messaging) for the next five business days were with the office coordinator, Rochelle. She told me she spoke with the owner, Alex, and the estimate was not going to be the customer's fault. She said they would take care of finishing the project and honoring the contract. The communication and professionalism was at its worst, as I constantly had to be the first to message and call to see when the staining would be completed. My last straw was when I came home from work to find two ladies and a little girl trying to finish the remaining front of the fence (staining it by hand), and they did a terrible job. That same afternoon, I finally spoke with Alex and all he wanted was more money to finish the project. The owner should have initially reviewed the contract to make sure it was accurate, should have called the customer to follow up on how the project was coming along, should have sent someone else to finish the project if a worker was out sick for a week, and should have definitely honored the contract and took accountability for his employee's mistake. Even the work that was completed on our fence was not done as promised as there was only one coat of stain done on the outside, inconsistencies (some stained by hand/brush and some stained by the machine), and there was plenty of trash left in our yard and around our fence that we had to pick up. This new fence, which also cost us thousands to put up, is now unfinished and destroyed with the job they did. We have to pay someone else to fix the inaccuracies on top of finishing the job. I would not recommend hiring this company due to their inaccurate estimates, lack of professionalism, the inability to take accountability, lack of trust, and lack of overall respect for the customer. There is nothing "family like" about this small "family business."

Recommended by a friend in 2011 when i noticed a leak in my ceiling in ensuite bathroom after a storm. JP came, took a look and said the boards were rotten and would need a new roof. We went through my insurance company, entire roof replaced along with the replacement of a section of gutter. Literally one month later a leak showed up in my bedroom after a storm. I called another roofer to look at the problem and he said oh your flashing is missing. I called JP back and told him, he was adamant it wasn't the flashing and he sent one of his guys out. His guy sealed it with some type of caulk. It held up until June 2023. Ceiling in my bedroom leaking in the exact same location. I called JP since he had made the initial repair. In addition to the roof asked if he could replace a couple of boards of siding. He came out took a look. I showed him the leak and reminded him that he did the initial repair. He acknowledged that it should not be leaking. So he took a look and told me the leak was being caused by my old soffitts and talked me into replacing my soffitts and installing new gutters, and replacing all my siding. Only replaced 2 sides of my home with new siding, soffits and gutters added. The quality of the work was terrible. My leak returned about a month later. They came back out and said again it was the soffitts. They had left a gaping opening between the soffitt and the house, nails were exposed, coming clear through the bottom of the soffitt. They "repaired" the soffits but the leak persists. The siding isn't flush against the house,the trim wasn't replaced on the siding, siding weather barrier exposed on the bottom, missing the lath strap completely, so i know water damage is imminent. Can't afford to redo now. Ivehad to pay someone else to patch the leak in my bedroom that I paid JP to fix. My bedroom ceiling and wall will need to be repaired from the water damage. Note that each time i reached out about an issue the attitude was terrible. I wasted $12,000 on a terrible work product and even worse customer service.
